The majority of these photos are just hilarious and I found myself bursting out in laughter. I enjoyed it but my cat sitting next to me trying to sleep gave me a dirty look since I kept waking him up.

Neko: Cats of Japan is a collection of cat photos taken by the author-illustrator of feral cats that live in Japan.
The book has various sections that are only differentiated from one another according to the background color of the page. There is no explanation as to what these differences may stand for or whether it was just for aesthetic means to help break-up the book.
At the same time there is minimal text included and it is usually included to add just an element to the book such as meow, kitten, etc. Readers will mostly find the text provides an English term followed by Japanese characters although one of these additions didn't have a translation.
And finally the book is phenomenal in its colored photographs as the photographer has captured these animals in candid positions and as they go around life. There are some funny photos like the kitten challenging the katydid just as a mention of one of my favorites.
If you are a cat-lover and fan of cat photography than this book should be a must!

The pictures are excellent! While the intro mentions Tokyo and the cat island, I would have loved for there to be a small description of the location of each of the pictures.

truly incredible and stunning photographs, especially since you can't make cats pose the way they're captured in so many of these!!! more delightful than the average cat photo book, for sure
