Someone has been collecting newspaper articles, CIA files, medical records, and other documents of bizarre and horrific stories from 1865 to1995 about lgbtq+ people. The media won't publish them in the current state of government, but you, as the reader, have been given access to them in this unauthorized collection.
Great book! I was truly intrigued by the “newspaper article” sections, and would love to read more of these. I was surprised by the “bizarre and horrific stories”, and while I have never chosen to read any types of books like these sections, I was not mad about it! I liked the book, and I would still have bought it if it was a longer read.
BOOK: Lost Archives AUTHOR: Sandra Bassett REVIEW: This book is why we need more lesbian representation in fiction. This book covers multiple stories revolving around LGBTQ+ people. It even has a story from the perspective of a moving truck. This book was heartbreaking and gave me a deeper glimpse into how the LGBTQ+ community is under fire. It shouldn't be this way. People should be able to love who they want, free of judgment or hatred. The women within this book were treated like pariahs, and their love is a crime. I needed this book this month, and I'm so glad that Sandra let me read this! <3
