I won this book from a Goodreads giveaway.
This book was okay, but it ultimately didn’t leave much of an impression on me. The writing style felt very repetitive at times, and the pacing moved so quickly that I never felt fully immersed in the story or connected to the characters. Important moments seemed to fly by without enough development, making it difficult to become emotionally invested in what was happening.
The romance was also a bit hard for me to buy into. It felt like one of those stories where two people meet and instantly fall in love, with very little buildup or believable character development to support their connection. While they faced a few obstacles along the way, the conflicts felt relatively shallow and were resolved too easily. Because of that, the relationship never felt earned or realistic.
What disappointed me most was the lack of a strong plot structure. Instead of a compelling storyline that drove the characters forward, the book seemed to rely heavily on romantic moments and emotional scenes. There wasn’t enough depth, tension, or meaningful conflict to keep me engaged. In the end, it felt more like a collection of fluffy interactions leading to an inevitable happily-ever-after rather than a well-developed story with substance. While it may appeal to readers looking for a light, easy romance, I was hoping for something with more depth, stronger character growth, and a more solid plot.

I wasn’t sure about this book at first, the way the romance started between the two main characters I truly didn’t like; it was instant and the cheating wasn’t for me. In the end though I ended up enjoying the book and the story; some things were maybe not explained well or the author didn’t get into much detail as I would’ve liked but still overall a good read.
