Billionaire Legacy #3

Bound to Be Mine

Rate this book
I don’t believe in reckless decisions.

Which makes waking up in Las Vegas the morning after a wedding to a woman I just met somewhat… inconvenient.

She’s sunnier than the sun itself and we both have a reputation to consider.

An annulment would make us both look bad.

Instead, we agree to something else.

Something temporary and contained until this “marriage” blows over.

A solution that makes sense on paper and nowhere else.

At least, that’s what I tell myself.

But she has a way of complicating things without trying.

She looks at me like I’m not as in control as I pretend to be.

She fits into spaces I never intend to leave for anyone.

She makes me question every belief I’ve ever had about claiming a woman as my wife.

And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t already consider her mine.

I tell myself this marriage ends when the deal is done.

I can walk away from her as easily and impulsively as I married her.

Or not.

I’ve been wrong before. Just not like this.

Because the longer she stays, the less I want her to leave.

She’s starting to feel like someone I was never meant to walk away from.

Like she was always bound to be mine.

Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

As an ARC reviewer, I’ve read my fair share of billionaire romances—but Bound to Be Mine by Weston Parker stands out as one of the more entertaining and emotionally satisfying entries in The Billionaire Legacy Series. While it can be read on its own, it rewards readers who enjoy interconnected family dynamics and recurring characters.

Briggs Blackwell isn’t the kind of man you warm to immediately. Controlled, sharp, and unapologetically critical, he walks into the story convinced he knows exactly who belongs in his world—and Mandy Carter doesn’t make that list. Mandy, however, proves very quickly that she’s not someone to underestimate. At just 25, she carries herself with confidence, talent, and a quiet refusal to be diminished, which makes their initial clash both frustrating and addictive to read.

What follows is a romance that thrives on contrast: skepticism versus belief, control versus creativity, and ego versus earned respect. Their chemistry doesn’t explode instantly—it builds, layer by layer, through tension, sharp dialogue, and reluctant admiration. The Vegas setting adds a fun unpredictability, and the “accidental marriage” trope is handled in a way that feels both playful and consequential rather than forced.

One of the strongest aspects of the book is how the relationship evolves. Mandy doesn’t simply soften Briggs—she challenges him, exposing the man beneath the rigid exterior. In turn, Briggs’ transformation feels gradual and believable, which makes the emotional payoff much more satisfying. Their dynamic balances humor, vulnerability, and just the right amount of heat.

The Blackwell family adds warmth and depth to the story, creating a sense of belonging that contrasts nicely with Briggs’ initial detachment. And while the romance is front and center, there’s an undercurrent about trust, pride, and recognizing someone’s worth that gives the story more substance.

If there’s one thing this book does particularly well, it’s delivering a romance that feels both escapist and grounded—light enough to binge, but layered enough to stay with you after you’ve finished. The ending ties everything together in a way that feels earned, with a touch of emotion that lingers.

Overall, Bound to Be Mine is a compelling mix of slow-burn tension, witty banter, and heartfelt growth. Definitely a strong addition to the series—and a reminder of why this trope, when done right, never gets old.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

This is part of the billionaire Legacy Series and is a Chicago Blackwell Brothers Novel. This is Briggs and Mandy's story. Their initial meeting was a bust as he was icy, arrogant and definitely a jerk. Briggs is the family lawyer and one of the four brothers running the Blackwell fashion dynasty started by their late father. His cousins wanted to bring her in as a partner with them and Briggs felt that she'd be dead weight. She stood up to him as she knew her worth at only 25 as a top notch celebrity wedding planner and best friends with his cousins. After Mandy left to go back home to LA, His brother demanded he go to Las Vegas where she was putting on an event and apologize. He watched her perform her magic and he was impressed until she refused to sign the contract. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. There are interconnecting characters and you'll remember Elizabeth and his older brother Adrian from a previous book. Enemies to lovers, a slow burn romance, great banter, a close loving family, close proximity and more. It's hilarious how they recreate the wedding night neither remembers and how she uncovers the real Briggs. Weston Parker is an amazing writer who doesn't disappoint, but this is special. The book has great flow and he manages to capture the special chemistry between Mandy and Briggs. Soulmates, for sure. An epilogue that might bring a few tears and a loving family that embraced Mandy. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Briggs Blackwell is the attorney and head of the legal department for his family’s business, Blackwell Coutures, and he is going to close on their newest endeavor, a lifestyle brand, wedding focused venture featuring their cousins’ design work. Twenty-five-year-old Mandy Carter is Cleo Blackwell’s best friend and business partner, works as a wedding planner, and is part of the Blackwell cousin contingent. Unfortunately, when they arrive at the conference room to sign the documents, Mandy is faced with an arrogant man who demeans her presence at the table, so she leaves, followed by Cleo and her brother Callum. Deal over, that is until Briggs is thrown a lifeline from Mandy to attend a high profile wedding in Las Vegas to personally witness her capabilities, which he does, but they find themselved married the next morning. So, in order to save face and reputations, they decide to stay married for a while, or so.

Ooh la la, what a delicious predicament Briggs and Mandy find themselves in! Weston Parker has hit a grand slam home run with Bound to Be Mine, the third book in The Billionaire Legacy Series, so grab your favorite beverage, head to the comfy chair, and enjoy the ride along with our couple. I am delighted to highly recommend this novel that has everything you could want and more, including laugh out loud moments, sizzling intimacy, and a surprise finale!

I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Absolutely loved Briggs and Mandy's story. I think this was the best one yet. Briggs is the attorney for the family business and while is brother Adrian needs to be with his wife and newborn, he is asked to step in and finish the deal that he has been working on for months. The deal is with the Blackwell cousins and their best friend Mandy, who is a wedding planner, a very good one with a well known client list. Adrian had cultivated this deal and it was ready to close. Within minutes of the meeting Briggs puts his foot in his mouth and insults her by making assumptions and pretty much blows they deal out of the water. The cousins won't sign without Mandy. It falls on Briggs to make it right with Mandy and bring her back to the table for this deal to happen. Mandy wants to prove herself to Briggs, so she insists he see her work. He must come to the wedding she is planning in Vegas before she will even consider signing this deal again. Well she definitely proves it and they go out for a drink after the wedding. One thing leads to another and they end up blackout drunk and married. In the aftermath the next day she insists they cannot just annul the marriage because of how it would look for her business. So they agree to stay temporarily married for a few months and then she will sign the contract. A must read to see how they navigate this temporary marriage and if they can find their way to their HEA.

Oh Briggs you never saw it coming!
Another great addition to this wonderful series
This is Book 3 of The Blackwell Billionaire Brothers and follows Briggs as he finds the woman that will turn his world upside down.
What a fantastic storyline, it started out so rocky for Briggs and Mandy due to the mortification of their first meeting but only got better from then on.
With her making him come out of his comfort zone to fix what he ‘broke’ it was amusing and fun to read.
The recreation of that fateful night they spent in Vegas was perfection and as I said earlier I enjoyed reading this and how Mandy pushed him to let his hair down and enjoy life.
As always the Blackwell families appearances just added to the storyline and cousins Chloe and her brother Callum were a welcome addition as Mandy’s partners and best friends.
Hopefully Weston will expand this series and they will have their own stories too.
I loved the story, all the characters and so far the whole series and am looking forward to Dash’s story next.
Thank you Weston Parker for the opportunity to read this story.

Well, well, well. Who would have thought that Briggs, ultra conservative, serious, stuck in his very boring ways would have fallen first and so very hard for anyone, especially Mandy. Weston really gave us one of the best reads of all the gorgeous Blackwell men with Bound to Be Mine! How Briggs and Mandy could start off so off kilter and hating each other to ending up with one of the best love stories ever is magic. Mandy was a very successful woman in her own right and didn't need the Blackwell money or the man with the money. Briggs was use to women wanting him for only his money and good looks. This was such a great story pulling in all the emotions and rooting for Briggs to be able to come out of his self-imposed shell and go after the woman he is falling for. I laughed, I cried and I kept waiting for the disaster to happen to ruin what they had finally found together. But it never did!!!!
Weston wrote another pager turner, emotion builder, fantastic love story that will make you a firm believer in happily ever after!! 10 Stars! READ THIS BOOK!!

When Briggs is tasked with finalizing a business partnership for his brother it sounded easy enough. The meeting doesn’t go well, and Mandy walks away never wanting to see him again. That is easier said than done when his brother insists he makes it right sand he finds himself in Vegas where he will not only see how good she is at her job but a few drinks too many will result in a wedding that neither saw coming.

Mandy would have been happy to never cross paths with Briggs after the way he disrespected her. He now wants to finalize the deal, but she isn’t about to let that happen unless he acknowledges her worth, so she attached a condition which includes him seeing her at work. It should have ended there however fate had other ideas.

Mandy is Briggs match both personally and professional as what started as a temporary situation turns into the love of a lifetime that is filled with fun, humor and emotion.

Wow, Weston! This was definitely my favorite of the series! While the first two books were good, for some reason this one drew me in and never let go. The Blsckwells are quite the family. Four sons who have taken over the family business after the death of their Dad. Briggs is the lawyer and makes sure everything goes right for the company legally to a point where he had no life. Mandy is a successful wedding planner who is about the join in a business venture with the Blackwells. Starting out on the wrong foot both of them, they trade insults at each other. The plot moves along at a good pace with each of the main characters personalities revealed. Things happen and they find themselves in quite the internet sensation. There is a strong supporting cast of characters as well. Family support was always there. A really feel good story with a happy ending. And….. there are probably two more stories in the future???!!

I voluntarily reviewed "BOUND TO BE MINE" goven by the author who did an excellent job writing this intriguing, interesting, entertaining read with humor, angst, emotional drama, chemistry keeping you turning the pages.
Mandy Carter & Briggs Blackwell complete opposites he doesn't exactly make her feel welcome
& makes sure she knows it, she walks out of the meeting his family angry & tells him to fix things with her.
Briggs goes to Vegas to see what Mandy does & he's quite surprised to see her company is successful, the way she works impresses him enough to own up to his mistake.
What happened in Vegas with Briggs & Mandy starts their journey to see if they get a HEA its definitely a must read & I'm so looking forward to "DASH'S" story coming up next, this was an absolute pleasure to read.

From start to finish this is just a fantastic feel-good story. I loved the interactions between Briggs and Mandy where from the start at the difficult first meeting with Briggs, Mandy was well able to hold her own. When he realised the error of his way, or rather with his brothers holding nothing back in chastising him, Mandy had great fun at his expense and at same time she was easily able to bring out Brigg’s lighter fun character.
The love and camaraderie between the Blackwell brothers and their better halves is fun to read and I can’t wait to read about how Dash finds his true love.
A great story that can be read as a standalone but don’t miss out on the earlier stories of the other boys who are already spoken for!

This is the latest in the Billionaire Legacy Series and the Blackwell Brothers and while it can be read as a stand alone, as it features characters from the other books it’s probably best enjoyed when read as part of the series.
This is Briggs story, he’s the steady respectable family lawyer who inadvertently insults Mandy, a wedding planner and a potential business partner who works with his cousins. To make amends he travels to Las Vegas, where she is trouble shooting at a wedding, to apologise. Everything seems to be going well between them, until they wake up the next morning and find out what they’ve done! How they deal with the situation they’ve created will shape the rest of their lives.
I really enjoyed this story, which seemed to flow well and I look forward to more in this series. I received this book as an ARC.

This Billionaire Legacy series is addictive! Riggs, controlled, stern and leaves nothing to chances. He is left to finalize a deal his brother has been working on for over a year and the family will only have him deal with Mandy . Mandy is a very well known wedding planner with a star studded client list. Riggs will denigrate what she does and she walks away from the deal. Since this is very important business he will do everything he has to, to bring it back on track. On the other hand, Mandy will prove to him what she does by inviting him to a wedding she is planning in Vegas. She is warm, funny and will disarm him at every turn. When the lines start blurring, things take an interesting turn. Weston Parker takes on a this ride that is so much fun and interesting.

Briggs Blackwell has met his match in Mandy Carter. He steps in at the last minute to get the deal signed between his two cousins, and their friend, Mandy Carter, and his family company. He thinks she is just trying to ride the coattails of the family success, and makes her feel that way. Well, she shows him, walks out of the meeting and Briggs is told by his family to fix his mess.

That entails going to Vegas to see her work in person, to see what she really does. He is blown away by her company and her work ethic, and sees the error of his ways. Sometimes what happens in Vegas never stays in Vegas. I don't want to ruin this, so all I will say is that this trip is the beginning of a great story and a great romance for the guy who never thought he would have his happily ever after.

Their fist meeting left them was not a “meet cute”.
Briggs is so straight forward and rigid. He didn’t know what to do with her. A mistake made years ago causes him to lose his inner “Viking”. This decision had him to not make good impression.
Mandy was not impressed meeting Briggs for the first time and didn’t want to work with him (the company). Since he doubted how powerful her job, she invited him to see her in action.
Of course it’s Vegas so you know what happens next-quick wedding.
So great to see how this fake marriage evolves into the real thing. Of course it’s never a HEA without a little drama.

Only one more Blackwell bachelor left!!

Briggs is the strait-laced lawyer of the Blackwell family. He’s literally the last person you’d expect to get blackout drunk and married to a virtual stranger in Vegas. But thanks to the power of social media, what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas. His new wife, Mandy, is the brilliant wedding planner behind the Blackwell’s planned expansion into all aspects of the wedding industry.

As Briggs and Mandy navigate their new relationship, they do everything backwards, starting with the wedding and backtracking to the whole getting to know each other. They clash spectacularly and hilariously, but when they can get out of their own way, they were the perfect balance for each other.

I really enjoyed their story - and can’t wait for Dash to get his happily ever after next!

This is book #3 in the Billionaire Legacy series and we have Briggs Blackwell who is the attorney and works non stop, but when he is asked to close a deal for his brother will it end up changing his life forever? Mandy Carter is a well known wedding planner and her best friends are Blackwells and now theyre all going into partnership with the Blackwells in NYC, but when a meeting turns out bad will one drunken night turn into forever? I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down and loved Briggs and Mandy together. Both are strong business people who work hard all the time. Its a wonderful story that has all the right feels and so much more.

Absolutely loved the accidental love story between Mandy and Briggs. These are two very different, successful individuals who don't have time in their lives for love. But, as in every good romance, love finds them and makes everything brighter.
I adored their haphazard romance from the beginning, where they did everything backwards and just tried to figure out all out. The author did an amazing job of showing that thru any obstacle, love will find a way. I also appreciate the peeks into the other characters lives, so we get a little extra in each book. I can't wait for Dash's story next!

Briggs and Mandy gave me quite a few surprises! I was totally into it from beginning to end! He digs himself in a hole first time they meet! Their humor is definitely a plus! They have a pull they both feel and it's like predestination. They're both something the other never knew they needed. Wonderful supporting characters that were fun to catch up with! Thank you Weston, I extremely enjoy these Blackwells' and a few new cousins introduced!

Briggs’s character is very straighlaced, observant, analytical, and uptight lawyer. His father’s death the brothers have stepped up to keep the company viable. I loved how his personality evolved through this story. Mandy is a firecracker who is an authentic independent person. There are multiple storylines that keeps this book moving and engaging. The characters are fantastic especially the references to previous books. This connection is what I appreciate as a reminder of the backstories.

This review contains my thoughts and feelings about this book.

Briggs steps in for his brother Adrian who is a new father on a huge deal for the family. When he insults Wendy during the meet the deal is called off. Now Brigg is told to make things right and seal the deal so he has to fly to Vegas and see how a wedding planner really works. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself waking up the next morning married to her.
Another great book from this amazing author. You won’t be able to put it down. I received an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving my review.

Loved this. This is the 3rd book in Weston’s Billionaire Legacy Series staring Briggs and Mandy. Briggs is the family business attorney. His brother, Adrian asks him to step into a long going deal with the Blackwell cousin, and their friend. Andy, a wedding planner, after his baby was born. Briggs insults her almost immediately without meaning to and blows the deal up. Briggs has to find a way to make it right with Mandy and bring her back. She insists he comes to Vegas and sees a wedding she, planned first hand and he’s amazed. Good story.

Briggs Blackwell and Mandy Carter began their life together in a very unconventional way - getting married in Las Vegas while blackout drunk and not really knowing each other at all. It was an interesting way to begin their story, and it got better as I continued reading. I particularly liked Briggs' interactions with his brothers and his new nephew. It was a great tale and I am looking forward to Dash's story.

I was instantly captivated by this story from the very first page. This couple is incredibly dynamic, and their journey is both entertaining, very funny and inspiring. Their struggle to overcome obstacles and find happiness together is truly heartwarming.

You’ll love this book about another of the Blackwell brothers. The entire series is full of delightful characters. Wes has once again written a winner. One of his best!!

Bound to be Mine was a part of the Blackwell collection. It was about Briggs, the lawyer, and Mandy, who was partnered with Cleo and Dash. It was a fun story to read. We got to see the fun side of Briggs. The Blackwell family is absolutely beautiful and fun loving. They are an endearing family. They are proof that when you get older, family is all that you can count on. You wish and hope that all families could be so close. Don't let your loved ones get so far apart.

This is the third book in the Blackwell Billionaires series and another great addition. Briggs and Mandy’s story is fun, entertaining, passionate, and engaging. I enjoyed the push and pull, the tension, and the undeniable chemistry between them. The Blackwell family is awesome, and I loved seeing characters from the first book again. I’m looking forward to Dash’s story! I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend the series.

Awesome romance book! This in my opinion was the best in the series. Can’t wait for a book about Dash and maybe even Mimi finding love. I would think Dash would eventually go out to CA to run the new business. That would fit his carefree personality. I love romance books that are tastefully written. This definitely fit that! Weston Parker is a great author. I would change the book cover though. The pic looks more mafia’ish rather than a stern lawyer, just my opinion.

Poor Briggs - the most serious of the Blackwell brothers - goes to Las Vegas, lets his hair down and wakes up married. You can't help but feel sorry for him... Mandy, the bride, on the other hand, plays hard ball. They then come to an arrangement and continue to stay married. Neither plans on falling for the other, but... Loved the story - give it a red, you won't be disappointed.

Bound to be Mine was another one of those feel good stories, where the characters can’t seem to get out of their own way. Briggs and Mandy are a dynamic pairing in the Blackwell saga. I just love the ride that Weston takes the reader on in this book. The characters are so well developed. The range of emotions are swift and timely. A fun read.
