Don't let the arcs readers fool you, this is absolute FOUL, dark vampire mafia romance except the romance is with everyone except the fmc 😐
mmc supposedly down bad for his late wife Helena and spent decades chasing her killer, he humiliates and berated the fmc Aspen and tells her she will never be Helena, while simultaneously being in a FWB with another woman called Quinn 😂😂 this man is an absolute Joke and the fmc is pathetic.
many many sex scenes of the mmc with the ow and even more scenes of him professing his love for his dead wife while belittling the fmc

2 stars means I can see the potential of the story, where the author wanted to go but did not like this execution.

Let me start with the thing that pissed me off so badly. Aspen had the same braids for close to 3+ months and I was just sympathetically having an itchy scalp each time her braids were mentioned. She's a superstar singer but she stays that long, with those braids. No. Just no.

Each and every pet name in this story grated on my nerves. And they are used A LOT. But the greatest was when Vladmir kept on calling Aspen little one, I would physically flinch. There was no connection between any of the characters but more so between Vlad and Aspen in the father+daughter aspect that would necessitate that pet name. Heck, even Petro+Aspen had a way better, genuine father+daughter chemistry than between V+A.

There is too much going on. Way too much. In the earlier chapters of the story there is a lot of info dumping then we also have all that is going on in this world. Human trafficking (that is conveniently mentioned once in a while but no real world building takes place), every single vampire and their different eye colour and different powers/functionalities, every function of the Bratva as well as Aspen's family vampire mafia mechanics. The werewolves and sirens. Like way too much going on but at the same time it's not deep enough world building and also they have powers but are apparently just bombing and shooting each other.

Aspen loses her fighting lipstick during the initial kidnap scene yet all of a sudden she conveniently has it when it's her first defend-Nikolai scene? He's Bratva and they are big on security etc but nobody noted that that was a lipstick/katana (of all things? Really?)/switchblade!?!?!?

Other woman drama abounds in this story, very heavily and is so fucking exhausting. Nikolai is a fuck boy (but a fuck boy who only fucks Quinn). Like this aspect of the story was so cringe+nauseating because it's always the women fighting over him. It is also always Quinn throwing herself at him and him just taking advantage. It's always telenovela type of situations where Aspen keeps on finding Nikolai+Quinn in compromising situations. Ptho. Nkt.

Aspen as a character I liked. Not loved, liked. But then we have the whole she's a virgin but Nikolai is still constantly fucking Quinn aspect. It beats the whole point of how she was written as a 'badass', 'independent' person. And no, I don't mean she needed to fuck around to be a badass. I just needed them to be on the same playing field of fucking around BEFORE becoming anything to each other.

I think there were maybe 2 scenes in the story where I wasn't eye rolling at Nikolai and how he was written as this exaggerated tough guy persona. I found him to be a more bark than bite character. Each time we are told how bad he is, constantly, but apart from sleeping around with Quinn we don't actually see him be this over exaggerated bad guy we are being told about.

Actually there are two other women characters in this story. Quinn...and Helena. And personally I know I like when the MMC is down bad for the FMC, but with Nikolai he was still emotionally down bad for Helena and then physically he was tangled up with Quinn, way toooooooo muuuuuuuucccccchhhhh over how the initial and eventual love growth with Aspen takes place.

They said I love you I was just eye rolling. From where? Why? It was way too soon and without a real depth in connection to warrant it.

As always, for any variation of BWWM mafia type of novel, I will always reference my favourite Dirty Kisses by Kenya Wright. There are many comparisons I can draw between this story and that one but Dirty Kisses takes the crown because you could feel the chemistry between the two characters.

Also, let's be real, she's black, he's white but it is as if their races are not acknowledged. The easiest shot that Quinn could have taken against Aspen could have been race related, which, I'm glad it didn't happen, but also the story is written like we can only just surface level acknowledge that Aspen and Nikolai are different. That's it.

I give props where they are due so when Aspen crashed through the window I was impressed. That's my level of 'she's a mafia princess crazy' that I like. But then she stays in the compound with Nikolai and just becomes complacent and I got bored.

So, I see where this was going but it was too much and too little all at the same time together with nothing really happens in this book 1 to make me feel like going on with a potential book 2.

His to Have pulls you in right from the start. I loved the author’s unique spin on vampires—it felt fresh and different from the usual stories. The forced proximity trope works really well and leads to some hilarious inner thoughts from the FMC that had me giggling several times.
There’s also a female character that readers will definitely be side-eyeing because she just won’t seem to go away. The characters each go through their own struggles throughout the story, and I appreciated that the romance wasn’t instant love. It made the relationship feel more natural and believable.
Overall, this was a really good read!

Wynne I don't know what you put into this book but baby it was feeding my soul and I need another helping cause ma'am what in the actual heck was that ending?!?!?!

But let me back up a little bit here.
We have a Mafia Vampire romance that is very unique from other vampire romances I have read.
First off there are different types of vampires and the way to tell them apart are by looking at their eyes. They all have flecks that mean something different and you're able to tell which vampire type they are. Some are common others are thought to be extremely rare or extinct.

We meet our MMC Nikoli "Niko" when the worse day of his life happens and it sets the tone for his cruel nature. To quote Damon Salvatore "If you're going to be bad be bad for a reason" and baby Niko had every reason to be as unhinged as he was and I was here for it.

Then we have the wonderful R&B artist Aspen who is a child of a super powerful Vampire and I Siren and yet she is completely powerless. Her genes allow her to age slowly but that's about it. In my opinion she does have a power, her voice, she just doesn't realize it yet. I mean how else could you close down arenas and EVERYONE across the globe knows who you are.....and your unofficial godfather is the Pope! But don't let her lack of powers fool you because this girl is trained for EVERYTHING!! Wynne really said that Aspen's hands are rated E for Everybody because everyone could catch them. The girl is smart as heck and as much as she tries to to fight her feelings for Niko she can't. Now she isn't without her faults because there were moments when I was like girl you know this was a setup why are you being like this.

Ugh and Niko that man does not play about his woman AT ALL. The moment his eyes laid on Aspen everything changed. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a fated mates book by the end of this series because his connection to her happened in an instant. Oh and his father............I love me him because he didn't play about Aspen either even though he kidnapped her haha.

Now......Quinn deserves all the throat punches in life and Sergei....your time is coming sir. The way I was ready to jump in the book and karate chop both of them hoes in the neck!!!

I have so many theories and so many questions. They way I was putting things together while reading from the small clues you gave us..I should be a detective haha.

Oh and baby....the spice was there....."Eyes On Me" say less!

I need the next book like right NEOW!!!

Y’all already know I have a weakness for dark mafia romances—especially when the Bratva is involved. But a powerful Bratva boss who’s also a vampire and a shadow daddy? Say less. 😩🔥

His to Have was such a unique and addictive read. From the very beginning, I was completely invested in Aspen and Nikolai’s story. Both characters carry the weight of painful pasts, and while they start off as enemies, the tension and undeniable pull between them made their relationship impossible to look away from.

One of my favorite aspects of the story was watching their character growth unfold. Nikolai’s protective instincts toward Aspen were apparent from the start, even when their relationship was complicated, and I loved seeing how they challenged each other throughout the story. Aspen pushed Nikolai to confront difficult truths, while Nikolai helped Aspen find the strength to face her fears. Their growth as individuals and as a couple made their journey even more compelling.

And can we talk about the villains for a second? I knew almost immediately who I wanted to throw into the sun. 🤣 Wynne did an incredible job creating antagonists that kept me fully invested in the story and eager to see what would happen next.

The world-building, paranormal elements, and storytelling all came together to create a dark, immersive read that felt fresh and unique. Fair warning: this one ends on a cliffhanger so is not a standalone, but it absolutely left me excited for what’s next.

If you’re looking for a dark paranormal mafia romance packed with tension, danger, enemies-to-lovers vibes, and a vampire Bratva boss you’ll quickly become obsessed with, definitely add His to Have to your TBR.

First off, this indie author is amazing. Her attention to detail is chef’s kiss. Her details of the food are accurate (southern woman here) and I was starving. Because only a granny from New Orleans is going to make the perfect gumbo and only a true southerner can make good fried chicken….I said what I said.

I loved that her vampires are not typical. No hiding from the sun, sustaining a blood only diet, etc. They didn’t sparkle so that was nice, too. The lore and world that she built not only introduced an interesting and intriguing twist to the traditional vampire, shifter lore, but also gave depth to the story. Most of the time, when authors try to spin existing lore it falls flat. Not Wynne, she nailed it.

Niko is our MMC and your heartbreaks for him from page one. In an era where all MMC’s are morally grey, she spun it so that his unhinged-ness had a purpose. He wasn’t unhinged for the sake of being morally grey. And who doesn’t love a 6’6 long haired, tattooed MMC? Really?

Aspen is our FMC and she is a badass. Again, in an era where FMC’s are clumsy, inept, need rescuing, etc, Wynne said absolutely not. Aspen isn’t afraid to stand up and push back. The fact that she falls for Niko as reluctantly as she does, stands on her morals and still pushes him to do better? Oh, and the lipstick? Perfection.

The spice is spicy but doesn’t take away from the plot! There are so many times when I am reading that I tend to skip over the spicy scenes for various reasons. Not here! It felt earned. It was messy and Niko’s care for Aspen, before, during and after? Swoon.

And we love a good knotting…

I come here from bookstagram. I saw a reel and immediately started reading it. The very first red flag should’ve been that. Because the reel has been posted in such a way - the wording - that it makes you believe that scene happens between MMC & FMC. So imagine my surprise when I read that and that scene is between MMC & OW. And the context of it is all surrounded around MMC’s dead wife. OW drama is quite persistent in the entire story. It’s ridiculous tbh. Because a night before FMC & MMC meet, he was still fucking OW. Throughout the book, OW finds a way to touch or kiss MMC and he does nothing, always giving shitty reasons. And when FMC & MMC meet, he becomes “obsessed” with her but still doesn’t set boundaries with OW.
There are two OW in this book tbh. His dead wife. She’s also present throughout the book. It gets boring at a point. There’s no chemistry between MCs but I did enjoy some of their scenes. The plot with the cousin is also ridiculous coz it seems he’s under OW’s literal spell.

The most cringy thing about this book is the nickname FMC’s FIL has for her - little one. It doesn’t seem endearing to me honestly. It seems predatory. Although author did try to shove it down our throats that their relationship is very much like father-daughter, it’s not enough.

Wynne has found another fan! This book really caught my eye from the start and kept me hooked! I was on the edge of my seat. The anticipation was real. My crash-outs valid. My detective work on point. I’m still processing the book, and I’m not upset about it.

Niko is exactly the person he believes he is—protective, cold-hearted, and ruthless. He truly cares for his family, and anyone who crosses him will face the consequences. Aspen is his, and that’s final, regardless of her feelings.

Aspen is definitely that girl! She can definitely hold out longer than any Fmc I’ve read. Like girl give my man a chance.😭 She may look innocent, but home girl is deadly. I love every second of it. If looks could kill, I’m sure she has the highest count.🤣 Niko probably would be dead 100 times over!

Overall, I couldn’t get enough of this story! I need book 2 like last week!😭 PLEASE!👉🏿👈🏿😫 Niko and Aspen is perfect for each other. There is literally no one better than her and I can’t wait to see what Wynne has in store for them.

This was a 4'5/5 for me. I LOVED the plot, the characters—literally everything 😍.

The story had me hooked from the start, especially because of the FMC. I found her quite unique and enjoyed her spontaneous, feisty personality, though I didn’t like that she hid her illness until the very end, and I would have loved to see more of her life as a rock star. It’s a shame I discovered her when she was already retiring 🤣.

As for the MMC, I liked him too, but what I loved most was his grieving process and his relationship with his late wife. It’s the first time I’ve read something like this in a book; I usually prefer the MMC to have just one love interest in the story, but this time I didn’t mind at all, and I think his story with Helana was very important to the plot. By the way, I hated Queen. The worst best friend ever.

In conclusion, it was a wonderful debut and had everything I love: vampires, a rock star and a wild FMC, unexpected twists, secrets, a found family, love, and a bit of violence. I’m just not a fan of other women and jealousy drama, but congratulations on the great work. Keep it up 🖤🖤🖤

I’m new to anything Bratva, but I enjoy forced proximity. This is a slow burn with a steady, mid-paced storyline. Nikolai and Aspen are two strong personalities fighting to deny and define their reality. You can sense the brooding from Nikolai and the fire from Aspen, and I enjoyed this book with the tense, then gradually easy banter between them.

Aspen is an heir to the Syndicate and an anomaly in her family, powerless. Nikolai is set to take over as the Pakhan, or leader of the Bratva. He wasn’t prepared to meet Aspen, and once he does, both of their lives change quickly. Aspen and Nikolai give grumpy vs sunshine vibes, respectively. Aspen moves as if she is fighting for her life, while Nikolai adheres to tradition and expectations. This causes them to clash at every turn. As they navigate their future, some secrets and lies are revealed, betrayal lands at their feet, and Aspen and Nikolai navigate how their relationship works between loyalty and family.
I'm hooked and can't wait to find out where this goes!

Aspen who is a world famous singer, helps people dark times but the only person who seems to help her during trying times is her brother Roman. Her parents didn't try to have an emotional connection with her so when Nikolai comes into the picture she's thrusted into a whole new world.... literally! Aspen reminds us that we are all on borrowed time here so try to fullfil your hearts every desire!
Nikolai is a vampire who's whole world gets turned upside down when his wife dies. Although his heart turned cold to the world, it quickly started thawing when Aspen comes into his life, forcefully or not. For the woman he loves, Niko will go to the end of the earth for her. He is literally the man of his woman's dreams! With Bravta and Syndicate being enemies will Niko and Aspen ever really experience true happiness?! You gotta read it in order to find out!!

Aspen is such an amazing FMC, powerless in a family full of power, yet still strong, hilarious, and deeply human in her desire to feel loved and accepted. The slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance between Aspen and Nikolai is built on mutual understanding rather than instant attraction, which I absolutely love!

The strong emphasis on consent, made the spicy spicy moments feel genuine and earned. Trust issues, secrets, and obligation constantly test them, which made every emotional moment hit even harder. Overall, this was a fantastic read with emotional depth, insane twists, and a romance that kept me invested through every messy, heartfelt step of Aspen and Nikolai’s journey. This one is a must read!

First off I loved the authors writing style, the funny banter was not forced. Their writing was also not choppy at all. It was a pleasing story to read.

Ok now to the book itself, the main FMC Aspen is very bad ass. I loved her, no damsel in distress. A hybrid syndicate heir, who knows how to shoot, fight, and jumps out of a 4 story building. And did i mention she’s a r&b superstar.

The MMC Nikolai, my vampire widow zaddy. Who is a bratva heir, and seduces you w his shadow? The intimacy scenes had me 😮‍💨. I love when the MMC falls hard and quickly. And of course touch her and d!e vibes 😮‍💨😮‍💨

They are in a marriage contract, but of course the lines blur for my girl Aspen.

Very much dark romance, very much a slow burn. You will like this one.

i’m flabbergasted lol.. i saw the cliffhanger looming, yet i didn’t see that ending coming. y’all i’ve got so many questions.

this was yet another wonderful debut in my read pile. wonderful descriptions, story-building, and characters (though some i'm ready for them to exit). here we’ve got a spin on the average vampire, spice that makes sense for the plot, and unpredictable moments.

that last 15-20% had me going through a slew of emotions so now it’s just me and my thoughts 😩

Great read but ends on a cliffhanger

An interesting genre blend. I don't think the blurb does the book justice by explaining the book because I was blown away. I like the slow burn between the characters. However, I hope they work on their communication skills lol. Very interested in how the series end. But note to the author. Please warn us of cliffhangers! I usually buy books that have a cliffhanger warning and sit on all the books to buy the series and then read them all

Oh my world tilted with this one!!!!

This is my first time reading this author’s book, and she has shot all the way to the top as one of my favorites. Entertaining, heart wrenching, engaging, erotic, soul touching and funny at times. I absolutely adore this book and cannot wait for the sequel. This was such an amazing read for me because I love the dark themes. Possessive Alpha male, lethal father in law, bad @$$ MFL who knew how to handle her own. I’m glad I ran across cover, that’s what drew my attention. Great work on this!!!!!!!!!

ARC - Such an amazing read. This is my first Romantacy and Nikolai is definitely added to my book boyfriends list. Have you ever read a book where it’s like I’m going to miss you when I turn the page, or a book you could read over and over like a comfort tv show…this book is that! I can’t wait to see how the characters develop as the world Wynne is creating evolves but all I know is I need more ASAP.

I am currently reading His to Have. I am loving the spiciness of the characters. The detail of the writing is giving me clear visuals of each character. I feel like I know the characters well and I want to know what they’re going to do next. You know it’s good when you are talking to the book, as if you’re talking to the characters yourself. lol. I received an ARC for my honest opinion… This mafia romance had everything I expected and more — action, tension, intense chemistry, and plenty of emotional twists.

The action scenes and fighting kept the pace moving, while the romance brought moments of vulnerability and belonging that made the characters feel more layered.

If you enjoy dark romance with possessive characters, forced proximity, emotional tension, and high stakes, this book definitely delivers.

Bro seriously warn us of cliffhanger smfh. Pen is a little childish she's always running away instead having an actual conversation like a normal adult. The book is good i figured that we would be left hanging half way through the book. Nik should have killed Quinn a long time ago in all honesty smfh. This book brought me out of a slump I had been having . Written very well this is a very unique book a Mary’s romance with vampires who are so onion their own right so different origins of them. I loved how Niko instantly feel for aspen and how none played when it came to her it’s not overly spicy thank god I wish I could go back and experience it for the first time again

This man went Dracula Castlevania on the folks after he found out his wife was murdered. Chile his grief was so potent. But hes also so messy lol I really cant wait for book 2. I cant end like that!
