Here’s a version that works well for both Amazon and Goodreads:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars
Confessions of a Sugar Baby is the kind of dark romance that completely pulls you in and refuses to let go. What starts as a story filled with temptation and secrets quickly spirals into something much darker with deception, trauma, murder, and plenty of spice woven throughout every chapter.
The suspense in this book kept me hooked because every time I thought I understood what was happening, another twist changed everything. The tension between the characters was addictive, messy, and intense in the best way possible. The emotional damage, manipulation, and hidden motives made this feel more like a psychological spiral than a typical romance, and I loved that about it.
And that ending? Absolutely did not see it coming.
This was one of those books that is nearly impossible to put down because you constantly need to know what happens next. If you enjoy dark romance with morally gray characters, shocking twists, suspense, and a heavy dose of 🌶️, this is definitely worth reading.
Please check trigger warnings before going in because this book covers some heavy top
Overall, I thought the premise of this book was really creative as it follows Serena, who begins escorting for 3 wealthy men. I thought the exploration of sex work and the different types of sex work was really well done. I liked the variety of characters in this book and thought each character had something unique to add to the plot.
However, I did have some critiques about this book. The biggest thing I struggled with was Dom’s relationship with Serena. As a lawyer myself, the relationship that they had would break multiple ethical rules and likely cause Dom to lose his license. While I know that this is a fictional novel, this was just something personal that I struggled to get past. I also felt that the ending was a little rushed. I would have liked more development of the ending, I thought it wrapped up a little too quickly. I also noticed a few grammatical/linguistic errors in the book—the biggest one that bothered me was the author’s phrase “tall kitten heels”—a kitten heel is by definition a short heel, usually about an inch tall.
I appreciate the authors use of trigger warnings—I am not someone who is easily triggered, so I did not personally find the book strong enough to need trigger warnings. If you are on the fence about reading due to the trigger warnings, please read at your own comfort.
Overall I am glad I read this book as it certainly was something different than what I usually read. If there was a second one, I don’t know if I would pick up the second one personally but I think for the right audience it’s a book that many would enjoy.
Read it on Kindle then bought the paperback because it's THAT good! I follow this author on TikTok and didn’t think she could outdo her first book Black roses, but she did it. I enjoyed this one even more!!! This book is smutty thrilling spicy unhinged. I was laughing out loud multiple times. The story unveils in ways I never expected, and the way the female main character is written= chefs kiss! I think that every female should read this book because it explains what years of sexual abuse can do to someone and how slut shaming impacts women, especially beautiful women.
I don’t want to give spoilers but CHARLIE BANE!!! I fell for him instantly. He’s the kind of billionaire that makes you swoon!!! I found every character interesting and not what you expect them to be. AND the twist at the end... it's next level.
When I say that I’ve never related more to an authors writing, I mean it!!! From what I know she’s also a therapist so maybe that’s why she’s good at writing these characters and making me feel seen with my trauma.
I would give this 10 stars if I could and 5 🌶️ because it is very spicy. This is my favorite kind of dark romance. With a real plot and real characters. This is actually my favorite one I’ve read. You must read this book!!! You will thank me.
Oh wow!!! This was such a good book. The author did so well. If you are person who has experienced trauma that relates, this book may help heal you some. The FMC is so relatable. I was hooked and did not want to put it down. Throughout the entire book I was trying to figure things out and pit pieces together. The author did well to keep the reader engaged and guessing. As the book ended. My response was "well F*ck". I want to know how life is now residing Serena. I also want to know where Domani is going and if he followed through. This is my first story from this author, I will be continue to read her work! She did such a wonderful job. I am an Arc reader and will be purchasing this book. Loved it! Can't wait to read it again.
Welcome to Serena's life. Sugar baby accused of murder. We see her struggles through falling in love and loss. Clients turned evil assholes out to make her the bad guy! I had a feeling on how this one would end and low and behold i was correct. Wish there was at least a little of what happens a few months later, but I guess we don't always get what we want.
this book was crazy. i enjoyed it. this book started one way and ended another. it was a wild ride that i wasn’t expecting with a crazier ending. if you’re looking for spice, a little bit of thrill, and complete chaos this is it. this book is real and raw and grabs you when you least expect it.
