Whodie and Adore: A Trap Love Story

Rate this book
Adore never had to touch the work to run the city. Her name carried enough weight on its own. But when the money starts getting watched and her world starts shifting in ways she can’t control, one thing becomes clear, somebody’s been paying attention. And they’re moving like they already know her next step.

Whodie doesn’t ask questions.

He handles problems. Loyal, calculated, and built for whatever the streets bring, he’s the one person Adore never had to second guess…until everything around them starts falling apart. Now the pressure is coming from every direction. The streets feel different. And trust isn’t hitting the same. Because in a game where everybody plays their part…somebody’s playing a deeper one.

And by the time the truth shows itself—it might already be too late.

The love story of Whodie & Adore. It’s a standalone you have to read Hollow first to know who these folks are. I would suggest doing that first.
I’m not gonna lie they piss me off several times, and I was not sure how this would even end. Or if the pair would even end up together. Like they were really getting on my nerves.

The conclusion blew my mind, not gonna lie almost ruined it for me, and I thought I was going to have to be mad..

Whoooodieeeeee!!!!!!

Age ain’t nothing but a number. Change is always good. Sometimes you can’t control who your heart loves.

Handled down, I love me some Whodie. This YN is not to be played with. My boy upbringing was nothing of the normal. Like what kid should be responsible providing for themselves at the tender age of 10. Where they do that at. He was never taught what love was but one thing for sure he love him some Adore. He was not coming up off my girl. As for her, she frustrated me some but I rocked with her the long way. Ms. Thang took what she learned and made a life for herself. The fact that she was the Queen of them streets. Yeah she was HBIC and I loved it. However, when her & Whodie made it official and exclusive, they became the power couple. Honestly, they were dating themselves. One thing for sure, if Whodie did nothing else, he was protecting her. I will say that one of their biggest issue was communication. Lastly, finally sacrificing, listening, understanding and want wanting change.

Now let touch on Hollow. I loved his growth. He not as fast to react like he was in his book. Them moments he had with Whodie was need. The fall of a friendship and a bond of a brotherhood. Then there way the acceptance that he was no longer the only man that loves and wants to protect Adore. My Love was being the light she is.

The read touches a few areas, like trust, trauma, addiction, pain and love. Very nice update on Whodie & Adore. it honestly left like a late 80’s m, early 90’s hood love story; if that makes sense. Really enjoyed this read.

This author needs to invest in a editor. The spelling and grammatical errors in this book were just as embarrassing as they were in Hollow’s story.
The ending felt extremely rushed. Adore was looking at 10 years. What happened to her case? What happened to Adore being out on bond? What happened to Adore being constantly surveilled by the police I couldn’t take this book seriously. Adore goes from being watched by the Feds to just moving to one of the wealthiest cities in California? A city where she and Whodie would definitely stand out because they’re still unhealed, ghetto and can’t stay off of social media. This wasn’t a love story, this was a karmic, toxic, trauma bond. Adore is an alcoholic. Whodie has abandonment issues. All they did at the end was transfer their toxic bs to another state!

A Wild Ride of Twists & Turns

Whodie & Adore had me go through so many emotions, I lost count after a certain point. I had an expectation going into this book based off of reading Hollow, and getting a preview of Whodie & Adore….this book exceed those GREATLY! New events transpired that I didn’t even think could happen. Hollow crazy self was present in here & I love that (that’s my man for real LOL). I like to keep my reviews spoiler free, just know if you’re thinking of reading this, definitely read Hollow first for some groundwork AND THEN GET INTO THIS!!! And prepare yourself for a book to have you all over the place with what goes down between Whodie & Adore!

ITS ALL THAT AND THEN SOME.

This is a new author to me but baby I’m hooked. From Hollow book to this one I’m here for all the shenanigans. Has to be one of the top series of 2026 and I’m 196 books read so far. It was a roller coaster reading just when I thought I had it figured out plot super twist. Trust me you gonna wanna read this series.

Whodie & Adore

Man oh man this was a great one.. This felt like some real life experiences. It was just what she wanted and even though Whodie was young he gave is Queen exactly what she wanted and needed. Even though she was hardheaded.

The second book in this series also, they are forever breaking up. Moved out of the whole house just to get back together in the blink of an eye. Also I was screaming for them to figure out who was behind all the hits already! But I loved Whodie for Adore. 🥰

I almost cried

I was not expecting that the way I was over here crying like Adore over Whodie you would’ve thought he was my man. But on a serious note this was really good
