Faith, Hope, & Heartwarming - inspirational romance to make you smile!
Autumn Macarthur is an Australian writer of inspirational romance living near London with her very English husband and six spoiled cats. She loves reading, cooking, gardening, and writing deeply emotional stories to make you smile and remind you how big and wide and deep God's love and forgiveness can be.
She tends to talk a little too much, laugh a little too loud, and eat a little more than maybe she should. She's thankful to be blessed with some good friends and a very patient husband. Most of all, she's eternally grateful for God's great love and mercy.
When she's not writing or talking to her strawberry plants and cherry blossoms, she can be found blogging at www.faithhopeandheartwarming.com or on Substack.
She'd love to hear from you!

The day I had been eagerly awaiting finally came...Forget Paris by Autumn Macarthur arrived! This is book number four in the Love In Store series, which I absolutely love. The books are sweet romances with God very much at the heart. Everything else was now on hold, as I sat down to devour the latest book! Forget Paris opens in Paris on Valentine's Day. Zoe, armed with a clipboard and pen is doing research to prove that love is not a feeling, and that it can be generated, and it will not last. Gabe has just fastened a love lock to the bridge, in honour of his parents thirtieth wedding anniversary. It was his mother's dying wish. Zoe approaches Gabe, clipboard in hand. The two, assuming they have just twenty four hours together in Paris, both agree to answer the survey questions...Gabe is hopelessly romantic, Zoe is very cynical. Will they prove Zoe's hypothesis, and generate love, before going their separate ways? The action in Forget Paris, does move back to the familiar setting of London, home of the Mayfield and Pettett store, of the previous novels. Here, the reader can catch up on some of the characters from the previous novels. However, one does not have to have read the earlier novels, as each book can be a stand alone. I personally, found it good to catch up with previous characters, as I tend to 'live' the Love In Store novels, rather than read them. For a novel that opens in Paris on Valentine's Day, love is obviously a central theme of the novel. Not just love between humans, but the love that God has for His children. Love is a choice, not just a warm, fuzzy feeling. For a love that lasts, one must choose to love every day, and then work on that love. God is at the heart of the novel. Gabe believes in God. Zoe is the daughter of a pastor of a mega church in America. Believing is only part of the equation, Gabe believes in God with his head, but he needs to believe in Him with his heart. Zoe knows about God, but does she really know God for herself? The theme of trust also runs throughout the novel. Zoe has been wounded in love, twice in the past. She is now very sceptical and wary to trust others, and even God. At times, she is scared to trust herself with her feelings. Gabe needs to trust God's plans for his life. He needs to trust and commit to God's plans, that are so much greater than his own. Zoe needs to stop guarding her heart and take a risk, and learn to love again. By playing it safe, life can pass us by, so that instead of living, we merely exist. Once again, Autumn Macarthur has drawn delightful characters, that you cannot help but like. They grip you from the very start, and I find myself so tied up in their lives, that I think about them long after the last page is read. If you have never read a Love In Store novel, then you are missing out on such wonderful little novels. So give yourself a treat and download Forget Paris (or any of the others) today. I am now eagerly awaiting book number five due out later this year.
I loved this sweet story! Ms. MacArthur has such a gift for writing inspirational romance with great kissing, flawed yet swoon worthy heroes and stubborn yet loveable heroines. Gabe, the hero, was such a kind, compassionate, tall, handsome gentleman. He was so patient with the heroine, Zoe. I really did like Zoe, in spite of her stubbornness and resistance to romantic love. Their path to an HEA was a poignant and heartwarming one. I highly recommend this sweet, clean book!
An awesome discussion & example of what true life love is. The author covers a variety of meanings of love. The strangers discuss the different theories & describe the examples of their parents. As the story progresses, other examples are shown. As love blossoms, the couple begin analyzing their reactions & feelings, while seeking understanding. A very good read & worth considering the theories explored.
They met while he was still mourning the death of his parents, and she was studying the fleeting nature of romantic love. Not sure how the other really feels, they settle for friendship. But how can they keep love strong until they learn to choose love, over and over again?
Cute read. I loved the anti-love heroine! This is so uncharacteristic of a lot of women and I just applaud her drive to be right, her quirkiness, her passion, and her willingness to admit when she's wrong! Quick read.
Gabe and Zoe meet on a bridge in Paris. Zoe is there to do research, trying to prove that love is a fleeting feeling, and even two strangers could "fall in love" under the right circumstances, and that love would not last. Gabe is drawn to Zoe, and decides to take her up on her experiment. Both think they'll never see each other again when they goodbye later at the train station. However, they do meet again, when they realize that they'll be working together at the same college for six weeks. The more time they spend together, the more they fall for each other, though Zoe is sure that when they don't see each other every day their feelings for each other will also be gone. When Zoe's first love, Brad, comes back into her life, his he really still her love, or is Gabe really her first true love, and is it too late when Zoe realizes she really does love Gabe? First, though, Zoe has to learn that God loves her just as she is, and that she needs to accept His love for her. Gabe also has to realize that he's always taken the easy way out, and now that Brad has come back into Zoe's life, Gabe knows he's going to need to take a stand to be with Zoe, or risk losing her for good.
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
A very satisfying love story between a man who has just lost both his parents recently.Gabe has come to Paris, which is where his parents were planning to go before each got sick and died. His parents planned to put a lock on the bridge and his mother asked him to do it for them and visit the places they planned to go. He just happens to be at the bridge while Zoe is handing out papers for people to fill out about love. She has been burned twice at love, the second time her long-time boyfriend left to marry someone else and she has let that color how she sees love and marriage. A variety of meanings of love are covered, discussions and examples of what true love is. Both characters grow and learn about love and each other. Gabe has always been a believer and prays for God to help him discern what God's will is for him. Zoe had been brought up Christian, but had fallen away. Interesting how she and her twin sister felt second best while growing up, each for different reasons. I liked how they talked about that and how Zoe changed for the better. Some misconceptions and misunderstandings along the way to a very nice HEA.
An enjoyable romance between Gabe and Zoe, a woman who wants to prove the true love is not real or lasting. They meet, quite accidentally, on a bridge In London, and things don't go quite the way Zoe's research is planned. Both characters are laboring under grief, misconceptions, being afraid to love and being hurt again. Fortunately, a loving God is there to help and direct them in the right path and relationship He wants them to have. The text really needs some editing, otherwise, the story is well done.
Gabriel Ross is a Psychologist who agreed to help set up a new class at a London University. Zoe Gallagher is a research student working on her doctorate at the same University. They first meet in Paris as she is doing research and he’s sightseeing. They spend the day thinking they’ll never see each other again, but God has other plans for them, and they end up working together for several weeks. She is anti-romance due to a couple bad experiences so he tries to give her time and space. An uplifting and faith filled book well worth the read.
I didn't start reading with the first book but I've been captivated as I went back to the 1st book and kept going. Each story is unique though some of the characters reappear throughout the series. Zoe and Gabe have a wonderful and touching story. Zoe's previous relationships have turned her off romance and love. But God and Gabe work a miracle in her heart.
Great storyline. Good life lessons. I love the twists & turns at the end. Made you want to keep reading. I may actually pick another in the series. Some repetitive information along the way could have been avoided. At times I skimmed to by-pass. Not sure if this author does this in all the books. I've dropped a few that do. Still who doesn't appreciate a romance, especially one started in Paris?
The story is enjoyable, and I like to follow the characters from story to story. I am having difficulty with incorrect spellings and grammar usage. They seem to be the result of using only a spellchecker and not a human proofreader... too many typos that spell actual words.
What area the chances of two people meeting in Paris, and reconnect at the workplace. Circumstances bring Zoe and Gabe together in the workplace. They both have issues that need to be resolved. Unknowingly, they are given a chance to chose to love. Loved the book!!
I didn't like this book so well as the others in the series; basically, I just didn't find the situation and how it developed at all believable. that said, however, I was extremely impressed with the research that had obviously gone into it. Macarthur is a true professional, and although this book didn't really do it for me, it was well written and presented.
Loved this book on love and forgiveness. This was a very good read and one I enjoyed very much. The story if love is always one I love to read about as everyone loves in so many ways and for so very long periods of time. Waiting for the next book. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
Oh, my word. Not only does this book warm my romantic heart it caused this widow to think about what I shared with my husband for 31 years, 4 months and 11 days. We chose to be committed to each other. We chose love. Every day. Like this story, I know if God has a plan for a future committed love for me, He'll send it. Thanks for the reminder
"I received this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own."
Forget Paris provided a creative story line with several surprise turns. The characters were believable and I felt as though I was right there, peeking into Zoe's private world as she worked through her own personal heart issues after two failed relationships and her struggle to embrace true love at last.
There is not a better Christian love story as this. It is so detailed. It reads at a good pace. Even brought me tears at those who were having heartbreaking experiences. Losing those we love results in temporary pain. But God comforts us and leads us beside still waters. A great Christian love story
I know it's hard to get the chance of a lifetime to get this love and it helps you when you have God and he Leeds you. I would recommend to all my friends to read it.ROBERT Hewett
Such a sweet story! But with more depth than I expected in what I thought would be a light, easy read. Absolutely beautiful and such a story of God's grace and faithfulness amidst the sweet romance. Can't wait to read the rest of the series :)
I mostly enjoyed this book because it gave me update on other family members. I want to continue the series to read more about the family and it's extended members.
A really good Christian series. I'm really enjoying this series and loved Zoe and Gabe's story. A story of God's love as romantic love. A captivating read that left me with a smile.
I enjoyed this book, especially the psychology because I am a psychologist, but it was partially ruined by words missing and “it” instead of “if” and commas where they shouldn’t be. The story itself was sweet and I liked the Christian element.
“Forget Paris” is the delightful story of Zoe and Gabe who meet in Paris while Zoe is doing research on the feelings of love. Readers will enjoy the lessons that both Zoe and Gabe learn of God’s love and how we must choose to love one another every day.
This is the first book I've read by this author. It was an interesting story line. I really liked the story. I loved the character development. It was a sweet book!. I will read more from this author!
What a lovely story of 2 people who are bruised by love. They meet unexpectedly in Paris on Valentine's day and there is chemistry between them. It just takes God's love to make them realise what they feel for each other is true everlasting love.
So many people expect the first thrill of love to last forever. They don't expect to have to work at it. This is a beautiful story about learning that lesson.
Five stars, mostly because it's a clean, Christian story. I should quit buying romance novels, as they don't really hold my attention well, but this one was recommended to me.
Romance is sidestepped until the couple opens their hearts to God. They have to learn to love God First before they can be sure they love each other. Great read
