Awakening the Sleeping Queen: How to Reclaim Your Feminine Wisdom and Power

Rate this book
For high-achieving women who feel disconnected despite their success.

You've done everything right. Built the career, ticked the boxes, mastered the art of having it all. So why does it still feel like something is missing? Why do you feel so disconnected from yourself?

Awakening the Sleeping Queen reveals why external achievement can never fill an internal void — and shows you how to reclaim what was lost along the way.

Drawing on her own midlife transformation from pharmaceutical executive to psycho-spiritual coach, Nathalie Cordell uses the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale as an unexpected map for women's journey to wholeness. Weaving personal storytelling with depth psychology and spiritual wisdom, she guides you through the healing work of integration: befriending your anger, trusting your intuition, and reclaiming the parts of yourself you learned to hide.

This isn't another book about leaning in or the seven steps to success. It's an invitation to come home to yourself — not through strategy or framework, but through story and inner work.

Because fulfilment isn't waiting for you at the top of another ladder. It's waiting inside you.

About the author

Nathalie Cordell spent twenty years climbing the corporate ladder in pharmaceutical leadership before she got tired of climbing and decided to see if she could fly instead.

She retrained with an MA in Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching and now works as a psycho-spiritual coach and facilitator of transformation — guiding high-achieving women through midlife's deeper questions of identity, belonging, and wholeness.

Her debut book, Awakening the Sleeping Queen weaves memoir and depth psychology, using the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale as a map for women navigating the gap between outer success and inner fulfillment.

She writes Soul Seeds on Substack, lives in rural Hertfordshire, and is still very much on the journey herself.

I couldn’t put it down. I had a feeling it would speak to me but wow, it’s brilliant! It just struck one chord after another. Nathalie Cordell, you smashed it. Thank you so much for sharing your story (and wisdom!) with the world. This book gives a voice to the inner experience so many women have in their midlife and will guide you through a journey of reflection to help you rediscover your forgotten parts. It's a must read. Brilliant, brave, bold and beautifully written. ❤️❤️❤️
