This book is truly going to disappoint you😒😡🤬🙄
This book is truly going to disappoint you. The author clearly was going through some stuff, because the storyline felt flat, scattered, and completely unprepared.
I was already disappointed with book one, but I came into book two hoping it would somehow redeem the series. Instead, it made things worse. The storyline for Ari and Wicked feels all over the place, like there was no clear direction or solid plan behind it.
I remember seeing a post where the author mentioned life was “life-ing,” and reading this, I can honestly feel that. The ideas feel rushed, the plot feels disconnected, and nothing fully comes together. I genuinely hope things get better, but it’s very obvious that whatever was going on personally showed up in this book.
Ari’s character shift is one of the biggest problems. When she was a supporting character, she was strong, confident, and didn’t take nonsense. She stood her ground and felt solid. But now that she has her own storyline, she comes off weak, timid, and easily manipulated. She’s allowing her child’s father a man who has never even been present in his son’s life to blackmail her. That doesn’t make sense. There’s no real leverage there, so the entire situation feels forced and unrealistic.
Then there’s Wicked, and honestly, I’m even more confused. He comes across like two completely different characters. The way he handled things when he was locked up versus how he acts as a free man doesn’t align at all. He’s supposed to be ruthless, calculated, and not someone easily controlled, yet his father is somehow able to pressure him into marrying a woman he doesn’t even care about who is allegedly pregnant.
And that whole situation just doesn’t add up. A man of his caliber would’ve demanded a DNA test immediately. Instead, we’re supposed to believe he’s just going along with a marriage? It feels unrealistic, especially when it’s obvious the child likely isn’t even his.
Then the story escalates into chaos Ari shows up at the wedding to reveal the baby isn’t his, and it all ends with him getting shot. It’s dramatic, but not in a good way. It feels like shock value instead of a well-built storyline.
Overall, the entire book feels like it’s grasping at straws like the story was being made up as it went along instead of being carefully developed. The characters don’t feel consistent, the plot lacks depth, and the execution just falls flat.
I will say this sometimes authors have an off moment. And to me, this feels like one of those times. But with how disappointing book one was, and how much worse book two turned out, I can confidently say I won’t be reading book three. I don’t even have the interest.
If you’re planning to read this series, just be prepared you’re more than likely going to be very disappointed.

When I say Aria disturbed me damn near the whole book! I screamed "Tell Him"! Multiple times while reading this book! But the book was good and it evened out. I enjoyed it and I'm ready for book 3. Because I just know the end did not end like that!

I was very excited to experience Wicked and Aria’s journey, unfortunately I was left feeling disappointed. I feel the like the story did not need 3 separate books, one book would have sufficed. Aria and Wicked’s character development was all over the place. Neither character displayed the strong personalities they displayed in Maniacs series. The storylines for both characters just didn’t align. And although I know this is a work of fiction the part of the story where they put the defibrillator on Wicked and shocked his heart and a very pregnant Aria just continued to hold his hand—very unrealistic. They say CLEAR for a reason. In no way would those paramedics had let her touch him while performing that procedure. I’m not very excited about book 3, but I’m too invested to not see the story through. I do hope that book 3 will be better thought out and better executed.

Please stop playing with Wicked. The man is miss all his face cards cause he is not wrapped to tight🤭. Cause he getting bulldozers and things 🤣! Honestly him and Aria are playing we out each other feelings but Aria is doing the most. Babygirl done gave me a migraine with her indecisive self🤨. Like I get it, us mothers are going to do everything in our power to make sure our kids are safe at all times. So with his donor Andre doing what he doing, I get it😒. He so trifling cause his cover just got blown and he has no clue. However, she should have opened her mouth instead of doing what she doing. Now, my girl stress because of Zola. We all know that say, never know what you had until it gone and Mr. Saint-Mercier had made that happen. Him forgetting marriage is diabolical. It’s crazy the life of the mob, cartel or any thing similar has. Like how can you just marry for bloodline and not love🤔. Let’s not forget Aria mama Patricia. Ole gurl got everything she deserves. Luxi and Solei put them paws on her 🤭.
One thing for sure and two for certain, Wicked not going for it especially after learning that Aria is expecting🫣. Then learning the truth about it being his. Now do I think he waited to long and still not doing what “I” feel he should doing - yes cause really🤨. It’s like his dad has a hold on him cause ain’t no way I’m marrying or giving a person I hate my last night🤨. Oh but when my girl finally stepped up along with his sister Solei, yeah my girl redeemed herself🤣. But that ending, yeah my heart dropped and my heart had to stopped for second cause IKYL. Now we all know that Maniac is about to cut up🫣. He been quiet and playing the back ground, but now they came for his family - his brother at that😔. Wren, is still the beautiful person and friend she has been from book one, but I think we about to a side we weren’t expecting 🤭
Now Taniece knows she done raised my blood pressure. The way I’m sitting at the edge of my seat. The lies, secrets, hurt and pain displayed in the read pulled at all emotions. Again, that is ending had me running to start Book 3. I need to know what’s going on with my man🤭.

I enjoy the series
But the self pity and her not taking accountability for her actions pissed me off for most of the book every thing could’ve been handled with a conversation and it dragged on for way too long in my opinion I didn’t really care for this book if I’m being honest I hate when the fmc has a man willing to do anything for them and they choose the hard way literally nothing she did made any sense from a logical standpoint and as for wicked he should’ve left her like I get that he’s obsessed or whatever but her saying no and denying everything multiple times even putting innocent people in harms way just to because she was stubborn and trying to be independent 😒

Ari is the definition of woman don’t know what they want!
This book could’ve been done in about 5 chapters. I feel like situation was dragged between Ari and Wicked. Like we could’ve learned more about his enemies. I would’ve liked to have read more chapters on Solei or even an intro chapters on Grim or even Heavy. More insight on how he took over from Maniac. The drama could’ve been put elsewhere.

Ari pissed me off royally throughout this book. The fact that she is letting her absentee baby father control the narrative is crazy work. Wicked was hurt so I totally see his storyline and how it plays out. I know some may say it seems unrealistic, but this is fiction, right? Wicked and his father‘s dynamic wasn’t what I thought it would be, but I’m also not mad at it overall the book was OK… Wanted it to be better and has the ability to be better.

One of queens of cliffhangers. I ate this book up in an hour. Zola got what she deserved. I am always team Aria and Wicked! Solei surprised me, but it was a good surprise. Wonder if shell get her own story one day. Momma saint-M, always the wise. I still cant stand Poppa saint-M . Ugh he gets on my nerves. Clock starts now on the next one. Here we gooooo!

LOVED!!!
I’m a lover of all books and will read all of them. I think when an author confuses you or switches up the characters moods or ways helps build the story. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I like Taniece’s writing. One minute Aria was making me mad and the next I was rooting her on. Thank you for Aria and Wickeds twisted love and I can’t wait to read more.

I'm glad Aria came to her senses because she was really irking my nerves. All that time she wasted pushing Wicked away and now she may not get a chance to make it right.💗💗

Just wanted to write a quick review because Book 5 was really good. Aria had me irritated letting Andre play games like she didn't know she belonged to a Saint-Mercier. I knew there was something about Zola's trifling behind. Despite everything, I'm glad Wicked still didn't play about her.

Great Read
I finished this book in one sitting because it had me on the edge of my seat.

Need part three now I love Ari and wicked. I’m glad they’re finally gonna get their happy and they deserve each other and I know, though and I knew. Zola Baby wasn’t his and Andrew I don’t like him at all.

GREAT BOOK!!!
Taniece you have done it again. I absolutely loved this book. Aria got on my nerves this book. That ending has me having heart palpitations and my mouth wide open. I can’t wait to read part 3. This is most definitely a must read.
