About the author

Living in a small village in Lancashire, England, the author has written a number of books based on the tale 'Peter'.

In the 1990s, the author had twenty-one articles published, both nationally and internationally. After gaining an honours degree in Geosciences, doing post-graduate study in Occupational Health and Fitness, and earning a masters degree in Science Communication, he developed an interest for simple communication.

A passion for writing again emerged, and combining various interests in fine art, museum exhibition display, biology, geology, poetry, and the mystical led to the story of Peter: A Darkened Fairytale. The author still retains a childlike vision of the world, which is conveyed throughout his books.

"Peter - Goblin Way: Short Poems & Tiny Thoughts (Peter: A Darkened Fairytale Book 6)" by William O'Brien is a short selection of wonderful poems in his Darkened Fairytale Series. They take you into the lovely world O'Brien has created within. The world and thoughts of a goblin, magic, darkness and fantasy. These poems and thoughts are a great way into the series and thankfully the author has included samples of his further writing to let you in. Grab the opportunity and embark on the Goblin Way. A work of beauty and art. Highly recommended.

The author writes unique poems that have a special touch to them and can paint a picture in the readers mind. Those pictures are sometimes whimsical and sometimes dark as readers are given a glimpse into a world of goblin's, dragon's and enchanted woods. I also like the short story sample readers are given following the already amazing poems.

I am an unabashed lover of all the "Peter: Darkened Fairytales" volumes, tiny thoughts, poetry, and longer works. William O'Brien is a gifted poet with a deep soul and a tender affection for his subject matter and readers. "Peter - Goblin Way: Short Poems and Tiny Thoughts" is a rare gem among poetry and prose being published today. Not a word of it is 'tiny' but that's O'Brien's humility coming through. Part wisdom literature, part lyric prose, and part children's stories: however old you may be, Peter will take you into a rare world. If you have children, read this to them aloud. If you don't have children and cant' borrow some, read it aloud to your spouse or your cat or even to yourself. Get all the "Peter" volumes. In them lies a key to a world you once could visit but then forgot, updated for the most modern reader and shining forth for all hungry souls in our crude and paltry world. Let Peter take you to a better one, where even the enemies of joy are wondrous.
