This is the second book I've read by this author, and I have enjoyed both. The pacing was perfect, setting the stage as the tension rose. The constant sense of unease saturated this tale of regret and revenge. The idea of an all-knowing matchmaker with a dark past was both intriguing and original. I was engaged from start to finish as secrets were revealed. The conclusion was both clever and satisfying. Thank you BookSirens for my copy.

Sabrina is a successful businesswoman in Miami , where she owns an exclusive matchmaker empire. She wants people to find real love, and she wants to leave the mistakes she made in Boston in the past, but will her client Dominic let her move on?

Dominic is a venture capitalist playboy. He destroys the careers of successful women , and moves on without remorse. Can Sabrina bring him down before he hurts someone else?

Will she be able to hang on to what she’s built?

Thank you to Gledé Browne Kabongo and Booksirens for this advanced complimentary copy. This review is being left voluntarily and all opinions expressed are my own.

I've read a few books by Gledé now and I really enjoy her writing style. She draws you in so eloquently and then flips the script. With each book I have had a "wait, what moment" and for me that's a sign of a good thriller.

The premise was intriguing - a matchmaking service backed by science headed by Psychologist Dr Sabrina Ambrose. She has dedicated the last 10 years to building a brand that has impressive results with many successful matches. That is until Kate approaches her with serious concerns about the man she was matched with Dominic Blackwell.

Sabrina begins an investigation but soon learns that the hunter can easily become the hunted. Sabrina has a past that she has worked to keep hidden and soon it is at threat of coming to light.

This book was so fast paced and suspenseful. It had me in a cycle of just one more chapter as I needed to know how it all came together. This was a great book and I'm excited to get stuck into the rest of the series!

This is the 2nd book I've read by Glede and it was just as good. A matchmaker with an algorithm to create almost all perfect matches. I loved how the story unfolds, discovering more about her past as well as a guy who may have lied well enough to trick her. The book was a definite page turner.

Fatal Match is a fast-paced psychological suspense novel that pulls readers into the high-stakes world of elite matchmaking, ambition, and manipulation from the very first page.

Sabrina Ambrose is a compelling protagonist — brilliant, polished, and deeply haunted by past mistakes. As the founder of an exclusive matchmaking service built on psychological profiling and data analysis, she has built her reputation on finding “perfect” matches. But when one of her clients accuses Sabrina’s star male client, Dominic Blackwell, of systematically destroying successful women’s careers, the story transforms into an addictive cat-and-mouse psychological thriller.

Dominic is charismatic, intelligent, and terrifyingly believable. Every interaction leaves you second-guessing what is true, which mirrors Sabrina’s growing paranoia and self-doubt. The tension builds steadily as she begins digging into his past, uncovering disturbing patterns that may point to something far darker beneath his polished exterior.

The writing is immersive, with vivid descriptions of Miami’s elite social circles, luxury lifestyles, and corporate ambition. I also appreciated the deeper emotional layers surrounding Sabrina’s guilt, ethics, and fear that her life’s work may have enabled a predator.

A gripping and highly readable thriller that examines how easily charisma can disguise something dangerous.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. The twists were wonderfully surprising, the pacing was great, and there were some sweet family moments and interesting cultural highlights. An overarching theme of the novel was not forgetting past mistakes but moving on, owning up, and learning from them. I would have preferred more visceral danger rather than purely emotional heartache, but the author still made the stakes feel real and weighty.

By the end of the story, I wasn't sure how I felt about Sabrina. She was definitely an authentic, flawed character. Part of me liked and admired her while another part of me was disappointed in her choices and occasional selfishness. Devin was indisputably great though. He was a loyal, patient, and supportive romantic partner for Sabrina. He actually probably deserved more than Sabrina was willing to give him, but I'm still glad she had such an incredible friend by her side. The conclusion of the book was satisfactory, though I wish it had been longer and felt Sabrina deserved a happier journey even with her mistakes.

Overall, this was an emotional, redemptive, and mysterious story with threads of romance. I highly recommend it. *I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.*

Although I enjoyed reading this book, it did not grab me enough to keep rushing back to the book every time I got a chance to read it, however it was enjoyable and a bit different from other books.

Dr. Sabrina Ambrose built her Miami elite matchmaking empire on a near-perfect algorithm and a 98% success rate pairing the powerful, wealthy, and famous. She matched a client with Dominic Blackwell who systematically targets successful business women and destroys their businesses until one complains to Sabrina. As she is investigating Dominic and visits him at his home to try and save her reputation he is discovered dead and she is the first suspect. Can she prove she is innocent? She has the motive, ability and was in the right place at the wrong time. The real murderer did not intend to implicate anybody else but how can she /he prove it was not Sabrina without implicating himself/herself. It is not until the end you discover whether Sabrina goes to prison for the murder or if she is proved innocent . It is a bit of a lame ending and does put the Police in a bad light. It is a good book but did not grab me as much as some other books do.

If you decide to read Fatal Match (which you definitely should), make sure you have enough uninterrupted time to read it, because, believe me, you won't be happy if you have to put it down until you finish the last page. Ms. Kabongo grabs her readers by the throat, and she doesn't let go!! The tension is almost unbearable, the suspense beyond twisted, and the characters are downright despicable (at least, the bad guys are). Several of the revelations here completely surprised me, and that's not easy to do. But my favorite thing about Ms. Kabongo's writing is that she proved beautifully that a tense, suspenseful, engaging psychological thriller can be masterfully written without gutter language. It was a nice surprise. I will be reading everything Ms. Kabongo writes from now on. I recommend you put her on your must-read list.

Sabrina Ambrose has a successful matchmaking firm in Miami for executive clients. Learning the truth about one of them is just the beginning of an intense psychological thriller that includes an episode from Sabrina’s earlier career in Boston that still haunts her 10 years later. Gledé Browne Kabongo does a great job of revealing different details as the story unfolds. Sabrina’s family plays a complimentary secondary role in the story. This is the first Kabongo book I have read, and I plan to read others. I received an advance review copy for free from BookSirens and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The ease of the crime, the way the killer acted as a friend, the clean way they made their exit after the payback was a small excitement to watch, as it became complete. I believe in vigilante justice to right wrongs, and this needed to be righted. The wronged in the epilogue were magnificent! A true reward is family, and a life well lived with them and loved ones. Sublime! Must read redemption. Riveting.

I really liked this book. Sabrina going after Dominic to ensure he doesn't do to anymore women what he has done before. However, Sabrina is the last woman that he will ruin. Very close-knit family, one man who stands beside her through everything. From trying to investigate Dominic, to trying to clear her name, this was a really good story that kept me reading. Intruiging storyline about a matchmaker with a past. Can you ever really outrun your mistakes? How does matchmaking work? Does queenpin Sabrina, so called connoisseur of matchmaking, practice what she preaches in her own relationships. 4 stars.

The story had me interested from the beginning, though it was a little bit of a slow burn. Definitely became a gripping psychological thriller/whodunit. Loved how the ending tied it all together and didn’t leave any cliffhangers. I’d recommend this book for sure! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
