Okay that was mean lol
Okay the book was great BUT OMG the cliffhanger at the end!! If I had known I would of waited till the next book came out then read them back to back so I didn't have to wait and wonder.

Just when you think she can't possibly do it again,she intensifies it. Belinda takes you on a wild ride of emotions with her latest book in the Mystic Wolves series. I was hooked from the first sentence on page one all the way to the very last period. I laughed, I cried, I cursed Belinda's name while seriously debating tossing my kindle across the room. It's an absolute masterpiece and I can't wait to hear more about our poor Devlin and what his journey will be.

I waited for this book an eternity and it was so well worth the wait. Now that I have a partial insight of Devlin Lockhart and his past, I want more. I am sadden that the fates are so conniving that they make him go through some things he would rather keep locked away but the love for his Darcy will allow him to face it all again.
Good good book a definitely MUST read series.

Oh my, Devlin....
Number 8 does not disappoint. Learning, watching, reading about Devlin's own personal story is heartbreaking and eye opening. Who knew what a tortuous past this beautiful man has lead...and its not over yet. Oh when, oh when will number 9 be released?!? Please say we won't have to wait long!

I am a bit disappointed as this is only half of Devin's story. I agree with another reader that if we were told, I would have waited until the next book came out and read both back to back.

This book is totally amazing!!!!
I can't stress enough how true the statement is! Imagine having to go back in time and relive even our simple lives, while unable to tell anyone or change anything we did wrong along the way...then imagine doing that as a vampire who lost everything and everybody he ever loved.
Devlin's story was emotional and heartbreaking. The fates are definitely twisted sisters to extreme levels! There were some lighter times, but his path back through his life is heartrending.
We finally get to "live" through Devlin's history. He is attempting to change what happened to Mason, and is still happening to Darcy. The Fates are forcing him back to the time he lost his beloved sister to the present. Although he knows what will happen, he is forbidden to change the outcome.
Devlin's story will bring you to tears! To live through it once was horrendous...to do it a second time is totally horrific! The love he has for his friends is beyond measure!
There are some happy times spent with his family and his first love, but they are often overshadowed by what he knows is coming.
Amazing story...but it isn't finished yet. I am trying to have the patience to wait for the next installment!

I was pulled into this book from the beginning and that is where I stayed until I had finished every single word that was written.
There are surprises all the way through this story, some are large and some are small, some you may see coming while others will hit you in the face. But each and everyone hold equal importance with in the book, helping to make the book one hell of a read.
Emotoins run rife throughout the book and I felt each and everyone of them, doesn't matter which character it was. I will hold my hands up, be honest and tell you that I cried at a couple of times during the course of the book. But to me if a author can make me cry while I am reading their book then they had done one heck of a job in making me feel those emotions.
I highly recommend this book, if you like shifter books then you need to read this story.

Ok...It seems I am a minority here but I hated this book.

I do not understand the need of keep writing a series when it should have ended already.
I love Devlin character and would have loved to read about his story but not in a context of - Once again - a whole drama for the main characters..Tired of waiting for a HEA for a Darcy and Mason. After 8 books I'm done ( and i'm very sorry because I really love darcy and Mason and kept Reading book 6 7 and 8 waiting for it..no luck...no HEA in this one either and again a cliffhanger as "ending").
Very dissapointed.

November 26, 2019I'm partial to this story because I love Devlin. I also edited this book, so I'm biased (LOL). I love where the Mystic Wolves saga is going. Devlin has to face a past no one dared imagine. He's hid his pain well, but reliving it will either make him stronger or destroy him. I dare you to begin this journey with him. Warning - this is only the beginning of his story. There's much more to come as the 'Queen of the Cliffie' has struck again. Bwahahaha.

Great Read
I really enjoyed this book, learning more about Devlin and everything he went through to honour his sister.
Although I hate cliff hangers I can understand why the story finished where it did. I look forward to book 9 and getting the answers I have been left with.

Blood Oath is a simply beautiful, heart wrenching continuation to the Mystic Wolves. Each book added to the series draws you further into the clan of wolves, vampires and witches. Never have I been so pulled into a series of books. Belinda Boring has the imagination to keep you either, happy, sad, mad beyond words and ugly crying all within one book. She keeps you coming back for more. Romance is just the beginning in this series.

I have been waiting a while for another book in this series to come out and though my favorite character is Daniel I feel it is important that Devin’s story needs to be told and this was the right time for it to be told. If you have not read any of the Mystic Wolf Series I would highly suggest to start from the beginning and work your way up.
In the last book I remember how much the story broke my heart. The pain that Darcy felt. The loss of so many including her mate Mason. The book had really left the characters in a dark place. I tried to imagine the route the author would take on picking up Devin’s story and how much heartache these characters would have to take before they saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
This story was truly amazing. My hat goes off to the author on how she wrote this story. Keep a box of tissue handy for there are some really sad parts and there is a chance you will cry a little. If you are emotionally attached to the characters like I am you will shed a few tears over the heartache that Devin goes through.
Devin has always been a mystery in this series. In this book we start to really get to know Devin. Don’t get me wrong, we already know how much value he places on his family and the love he has for his friends. We know what kind of vampire he was and how he fought against the darkness but in this story we get to see the man.
My heart truly broke for Devin. As you reading this story you will get to see how cruel the two fate sisters Atropos and Lakhesis was. Notice I did not include the fate sister Klothos in that mix. Klothos has show us time and time again in this series her compassion. She is not hard hearted, cruel, and gets entertainment out of others pain. She truly cares for her charges and I can not wait to see what the future series has in store for her. Personally I would like to see Atropos and Lakhesis pay for the hard hearted attitude and lack of compassion they show.
As I was saying my heart broke for Devin. He was taken back in time to his darkest place. He is forced to live each dark time in his past. He will have to live one pain after another. As you are reading you will start to wonder how much more he can handle. To have to live through the pain he suffer once had to be excruciating but to live through it a second time and not be allow to change a thing had to be more then he could bare.
We get more then a gleams in his past. We get to met not only his family and friends but his true love but sorry if you want to know more about her you will have to read the book.
Devin will find it a struggle to stay on the path he must go. Okay maybe that is not the correct wording. He will find it hard to stand by and let some events happen. He will also find it hard not to divulge to much information to the people in his past. Devin will face so many cross roads in this book and the Fates will not hesitate to torture him from time to time. Well all but Klothos.
All in all this was truly a wonderful story. I loved finding out more about Devin and his past. You have to wonder how much damage reliving his past will do. Will he be able to be the respected Vampire he once was? Will he become a monster that can never recover from the pain, blood lust, and cruelty that he must endure? I am so looking forward to seeing what part 2 of the story holds. I have a feeling Devin’s pain has just begun but I hope he finds some good along the way.

Again, no words can be said except... how could you leave it like that at the end Belinda Boring? The book had me reading for ages. It's another great instalment of the mystic wolves series. To read it from Devlin's side of the story, heartbreaking in some moments but another fantastic book ever written so far. A few shocking moments that made me sad, otherwise, a fantastic book I'd read again.

I love this series and was so happy to see the next book. I was hoping for a resolution to the ending of the prior book, but it was not to be. Well, not yet. This is Devlin Lockhart's journey to save those he loves. You can feel the pain and emotion as Devlin makes his way through his past. The characters are well defined and strong. The ending leaves you hanging on the last sentence. I hope the next book comes very soon!
