I've found a fragile happiness with my two men, Beast and Muscle, Warlords of the Bedlam Butchers. Our threesome works so well that I can't imagine a day without them . . . or a night without both in my bed.
But a rival MC has decided that what's in the past shouldn't stay there. With loads of blackmail information on the line, Beast might be going back to prison unless we can make a deal. But what the other club is asking for is nothing less than me, in a stranger's bed.
And Beast is going to sacrifice himself for me unless I find a way to save him . . .
Ruby Dixon is an author of Science Fiction Romance. She likes fated mates, baby-filled epilogues, and cinnamon roll heroes. She also likes to write biographies of herself in the third person, because it feels more important that way.
Ruby also loves coffee and dirty books and will probably be a cat lady at some point. :)
We have seen Shy's journey, Muscle's past, and now we got to see Beast's struggles. I know I mentioned this in my previous review, but I really love this trio. Their love for one another is just so raw and genuine. This series has definitely left me wanting to search out more MFM romances. ;)
A rival MC gang has framed Muscle and Beast to seek out revenge against the Bedlam Butchers. Unfortunately for Beast, the only hard evidence they have is against him. He's prepared to spend his life in prison as long as Muscle and Shy remain unharmed. Little did he know, Muscle and Shy don't plan on letting him fight this battle alone.
The more I read about Shy, Muscle and Beast, the more I dislike them... I don't know why... I liked the first book that featured them but after that I didn't care at all about what happened...
This is the continuation of Shy, Muscle, and Beast's romance story. I believe this is the third book about them. I really enjoyed this one! You do need to read the previous books to get this one I think though!
Fantastic follow up with Beast, Muscle and Shy . I loved seeing her find her voice and her place in life. After being held down her entire life, she’s liberated by Beast, and Muscle, physically, mentally, and sexually. In this story she founds her voice and her backbone when the men she loves are threatened. I cheered for her the entire way.
Beast and Muscle are their same, masculine, demanding, and all around bad ass. We get to see a bit deeper into them. They’re hardened, but when it comes to their girl and each other, they’re real, loyal, and completely committed. It’s awe inspiring seeing three people work together to create harmony. When a past scenario comes back to haunt Muscle and Beast, the happiness they built is threatened by an outside force hell bent on taking Shy away.
I just finished Double or Nothing and I so loved it! This is apart of the Bedlam Butchers series so for me this must be read in order since this is a continuance for Shy, Muscle and Beast. We just dealt with Muscles past and now we are going to deal with Beast's past. For me Shy has come so far since the beginning. It's an awesome transformation. She has to be strong to deal with her men and club business. You must read this short yet sexy ass story. Trust me, you'll enjoy it just as much as I did! I cannot wait for more!!!
And here we go again, their lives are on the line. I liked this part of all Shy, Beast and Muscle's books the least. I did not dislike it but there was too much coincidence for me.
Each of the books in this series is a quick little piece of smut with varying levels of story. However, this one was better than the previous ones. Shy Girl’s confidence (outside of her relationship with Muscles and Beast) culminates in an enjoyable non-smutty way that I found simply brilliant. Maybe brilliant is a strong word…. But enjoyable, great, etc. are simply not enough. For a novella (two-hour audiobook), that part of her character development hit the spot.
While I’ve enjoyed reading the Motorcycle Clubs Series, The Bedlam Butchers hasn’t been my favorite of the three series. I did like this one a little better and Beast and Muscle are starting to grow on me.
Shy is showing signs of maturity and growth, which is a blessing because the weakling persona/act was getting on my last nerve. Her confidence has grown and it’s obviously a result of Beast and Muscles TLC. That being said, her solution to the problem of Scorpion and the Hard Nine is far fetched although it was nice to watch her grow as a character.
Muscle takes a definite back seat to Beast this go around. He seems to be settling into a beta role and that is quite an interesting and surprising dynamic. Beast is in martyr mode for this book and it does not suit him. He seems to want to roll over and just take it in this book, and that doesn’t fit his personality at all, so it really didn’t make sense to me.
It’s a Bedlam Butcher’s book so there is lots and lots of sexy time packed into a fairly short book. Beast is enjoying being the alpha of this trio and gets almost Dom-like which spices things up a bit.
I am still not impressed with The Bedlam Butchers as a whole. Someone’s going after one of their own, and instead of backing their brother they seem to be willing to just let him swing. Overall, this series is growing on me, but I’m still not sold.
At the time this was written, Double or Nothing was available on Kindle Unlimited.
Wow. Ruby, you have out done yourself with this one!
Shy, well, she isn’t so shy in this book. She grows a pair and put them to good use! I love that her strength shines and she is able to do something for her men. Beast and Muscle are in hot water with another club and it seems that Beast will be the one to take the fall. Even if it means he goes back to prison, he will do it for Shy.
And the heat level in this book? Just take your panties off so you don’t get hurt when they melt. The last scene, holy mother of monkey’s everywhere! ~ Devlynn, 5 stars
Shy, Muscle, and Beast are a committed threesome in Ruby Dixon's Bedlam Butchers part of the overall MC series that she writes with Kati Wilde and Ella Goode. I really enjoy all the books in this series: the stand-alones and the continuing stories. The books are .99 and an easy read between getting done with work and going to bed.
Overall, well-written, well-edited, and well-plotted for the size of a novella. I give this one 4 stars.
This book picks up after the second one in the Shy, Muscle, Beast trilogy. In the last book, Muscle and Beast complete a job and think everything is rosy and taken care of. Shy applies and lands a job as an entry level clerk doing menial tasks for a chauvinistic boss. She starts getting hit on by the owner of the company's son who turns out to be a biker and later revealed to be the reason she got the job to begin with. So after some sexual harassment up the wazoo, and being treated like crap, she accidentally comes across evidence that women aren't being paid equal to men at the job. Surprise surprise.
Meanwhile, Muscle and Beast find out a rival club has blackmail on them for the earlier job that could send Beast back to prison unless they deliver some guns and of course Shy, the girl with the apparently golden snatch.
This book was pretty easy to read and predictable BUT I liked that the girl was the one to come up with the plan. I found it hilarious that the first response from the men was, well guess Beast is going back to prison. Well that escalated quickly. Don't worry boys, Shy has is covered. It wasn't even that she came up with the plan but she also, on the fly, read the villains mind and called his bluff even though she stutters, is scared and has no experience with a stand off and blackmail. But kudos to her for being the brains of the operation.
Smut level was pretty tame is time around mostly between Beast and Shy which is fine with me because I like her and him together better anyway.
Double or Nothing by Ruby Dixon is an erotic romance short story and the fifth installment to the Bedlam Butchers MC series. The audiobook is narrated by Hollie Jackson.
We continue to follow Shy, Muscle, and Beast in this installment, with each of them taking turns as our point-of-view character. This time, Beast runs into some trouble and may have to go back to jail to protect Shy.
I'm glad that Dixon spent a few entries of this series with these three characters. This little mini-trilogy was a fun read in one day.
As always, check these out if you like a bit of plot and a good amount of steam.
CW: violence, blackmail, sexual harassment
I received a copy of this book to review. All opinions contained herein are my own.
The shorter novellas are always a bit harder to rate. There's not too much happening in here, but the plot was developed for what it was...it just wasn't very much. After the end of the last book, a rival MC finds evidence of what Muscle and Beast did and tries to blackmail them into giving them Shy, and she decides to blackmail them back by threatening a sexual harassment lawsuit at one of the guy's dad's companies. It was just a little weak for me.
My other issue is that the characters all felt different in this one. Beast isn't a strong, silent type backing up Muscle. In this one, he believes he's actually in charge of everyone, like a master dom or something. It was just weird. And Muscle turned into a kind of dumb goofball. After his character development in Book 4, it just felt like an odd backtrack, and didn't even really fit with his sarcastic happy-go-lucky persona in Book 3.
This is the 5th installment of the Bedlam Butchers MC series.
This quick novella features Beast, Muscle and Shy. A throuple. Because this is such a quick paced read. Here are the key points.
I read this as a standalone, and was able to follow along just fine. Lots of spice Shy comes up with a ridiculous plot but hey somehow it works. It was nice to see the character growth.
Believe it or not it, I actually liked the ending to this one.
If the rest of the series keeps to a novella format I will probably read at some point.
Beast might go back to prison! And Shy and Muscle step up and make sure their Beast is safe! This was hot.
Also, I don't care how many times Muscle and Beast say they're not gay or bi for each other, they say it way too often that it can't be true. They would if it ever came up. I feel it in my bones, especially with the way Beast acts about it.
Ok so these books are short but they are all about the same characters and I feel they are moving to something. Little less spice in this and more of a storyline.
