A Grand Finale
An amazing ride from go to woah. I’m so sad that this run had to end but all good things must end. A few sad endings and a lot of fun happenings, overall a fantastic series. Highly recommended. Quinn has certainly grown into her role, finding a family that she knew nothing about. True meanings of family, whether blood, or created, there is always some kind of sacrifice

I read this as an ARC reader. M I've enjoyed the LSR series a ton. This is a satisfying conclusion that wraps up all the loose threads in the series. There's no questions left, no rock left unturned... and KT didn't kill my fav character!
Seriously though, everyone should go read the series. It's complete and it's fantastic.

5 stars for the entire series even though this wasn't my favourite book in the series. It is still a very satisfying conclusion to a great series.

Just finished a few minutes ago and I am kind of exhausted and emotionally drained. Any preconceptions I came into this book of possible traitors, or reasons behind the conflict, were absolutely wrong. I knew there would be some sort of grand battle at the end but went in completely blind to how, why, or how it would resolve. I have to respect the author for allowing characters to become gravely wounded or die over the whole series because at no point did I think anyone had plot armor that would protect them in the end. I felt my emotions being dragged all over the place as things got better, worse, or new facts were uncovered.
The only knit-picky critique I have is sometimes I felt as if I was being led around by the nose from one place to another more than was necessary. There are also a few open questions I would have like flushed out more, like Cook's intuition and knowledge of things I don't think he should have known in general (over the series). I would have liked to see a little more in the epilogue .. like the affect of the Academy (heck, that would be a good spinoff), or how relationships of specific members of her inner circle improved or got worse after the main event, or what ever happened with Quinns magical cell phone and her connections with her friend on earth.
However, I don't think I have gotten so attached to specific characters in a book before. I was very invested in a few of them and was very concerned that one or two could have possibly been a traitor. That investment in the characters really kept me on the edge of my seat as things unfold.
This book is a solid 4.5 stars and this series has become one of my favorites. Definitely a book (or series) to pick up.

Sure
Well that ended a bit flat. The constant glaring red herrings, keeping in the dark and so many other elements were just exhausting after awhile. The whole who's the main bad guy, when will we stop lying to the main character and forcing her into really bad situations and then apologizing and saying next time we'll be better only to repeat ad nauseum. I just can't really see someone getting through what was presented and still trusting half of their main people. And then the main battle takes place off screen, there's almost nothing really ever said with the Uncle. And I do have to say having a common naming pattern happens in some series but I've never had more issues with it as I did with the dragon names. I enjoyed many parts of this series thoroughly especially early on. This ending book though just seemed messy.
