Fans of cozy mysteries, women sleuths, crafts and hobbies, and clever cats will love this small-town whodunit.
Welcome to Wren Hollow, where the Founders’ Fair brings the whole town together for homemade treats, handcrafted treasures, and the much-anticipated quilting showcase. But beneath the warm charm and small-town cheer, old secrets are waiting to be uncovered.

When amateur sleuth Maribel Hart helps her friend Edith Bell prepare for the annual fair, she expects a week of stitching, baking, and neighborly fun. Instead, the discovery of a prominent quilter found dead in her workshop sends shockwaves through the community. Surrounded by cut threads, a broken antique ring, and a half-finished quilt, the scene looks like an accident at first glance. But Maribel knows better.

As she tugs at the loose ends, she finds herself drawn into a mystery woven from family feuds, buried resentments, and a missing heirloom that may be more valuable than anyone realized. And with the help of Snowdrift, her wise, fluffy white cat with a talent for noticing what others miss, Maribel follows the clues toward a truth someone desperately wants to keep hidden.

With the support of her fellow women sleuths, Maribel must piece together the past before the killer strikes again.

The Women Sleuths Club has done it again with help from Snowdrift! These four women work so well together whether they are hanging out at Hart & Hem or solving a mystery.

This book was fun to read! There are family secrets, hidden motives, a missing heirloom ring and a murder.

I am looking forward to reading the next book of the Women Sleuths Club!

I loved this short cozy by Sharon Michalove. The characters were well drawn and believable, and they meshed together as a great sleuth team, especially Snowball, a most extraordinary cat. The writing was lively and engaging, so enjoyable for a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended for a quick and entertaining read.
