I knew it 😏

I already knew what it was🤭 I really don’t like either of Maddox’s ladies but I want him to stick with Lucy 🤷🏾‍♀️ Can’t wait for part 2!

I kept seeing this series all over Facebook, and since I love a good urban brother/family series, I decided to give it a try. This was also my first time reading anything by this author.

The series follows the Creed brothers, starting with Rozay. Right away, we're introduced to the Creed family, their messy dynamics, and all the drama. Rozay has been groomed to take over the family business when his father steps down, but it quickly becomes clear that his father is manipulative, cruel, and hiding plenty of secrets. Most of his story revolves around exposing just how evil his father is while fighting to win back the love of his life.

Next is Kyro, the family jokester and certified playboy. His journey is all about growing up, leaving the women alone, and finally accepting that he's in love. Of course, there are plenty of twists and turns along the way.

Then there's Maddox, the quiet, level-headed brother who always tries to be everything for everyone. He carries the weight of the family on his shoulders until a major secret comes to light, forcing him to question everything he thought he knew about his life. More twists, more drama.

Overall, the family drama and character development kept me interested, but the series was way too drawn out. At nine books, it honestly could have been condensed into three books or even one solid 400+ page novel. There was a lot of repetition, with the same points being made over and over, which made parts of the series feel like filler.

If you're looking for a super spicy romance, this probably isn't it. There is some spice, but the focus is definitely on the family drama, secrets, redemption, and rebuilding relationships.

Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)
Worth the read if you enjoy family sagas with lots of drama and twists, but be prepared for a series that could have benefited from much tighter editing.

I said out the gate I didn’t like Lucian’s when she was giving Nevaeh all that bad advice about her marriage!!!…
So all this time, her ole hooker tail wanted a daughter to replace the one she hid from her husband!!!…
I can’t wait for Maddox to find out she been playing in his face all this time and now she’s pregnant too!!!…
Shatttt just got real and I’m here for all the mess that’s to come too!!!…
You can best believe, them Creeds are going to make sure their family is good, even if they have to lose one of the wives to make sure!!!…I’m hit that Luciana is still messing in Nevaeh’s face too and hiding it!!!…

I’m invested

Okay, so I wasn’t looking forward to Maddox’s story, at all. He is the least interesting brother to me and I didn’t like Luciana from the jump. Now I see why…I KNEW she was behind the NDA and she grimy and untrustworthy for sneaking Madd the way she did. She hoping he’s gonna be happy but HIGHHHHLYYYY doubt it. Ready for the next part, as always excellent job. This story pulled me in from jump, no lie.

I just don’t like Maddox, he’s too boring, and seeing as it looks like the author is going to destroy his marriage for him to have a story, I’m cool. Unnecessary drama is not for me… deuces ✌🏾

Don’t play with his daughter

I realized at the end of this book after finding out she’s pregnant. That his wife knew all along about his daughter and her mother. The fact that her husband shared everything but 1 detail about his discovery told me she knew. Off to read book 2
