When two strangers meet on a lonely road is it mere coincidence or fate?

Real estate agent Char Johnson is on her way to meet a client when she gets a flat tire. It's a meeting she can't afford to miss since she's just been told she may be out of a job if she doesn't beat out a co-worker in sales over the next few months. When Vincent Carter stops and helps her, she's grateful beyond words and is determined to pay him back for his kindness, which is how she ends up agreeing to be his date to a wedding.

Ever since his divorce Vincent has been on a hiatus from relationships, and he's perfectly happy with that. He's not looking to get involved with anyone, but he does need a date for a wedding.

Although the two discover they enjoy each other's company, and there is definitely an attraction, with their schedules it would be difficult to find time to pursue anything. Vincent works two jobs, and Char is working extra hours to save her own job. Then there's the conniving ex who seems determined to win Vincent back, a whole slew of family drama for both of them, and the list goes on. The obstacles in their way seem to grow by the minute.

And even if they could overcome those, Char may not be able to overcome her own insecurities, not to mention her intense dislike for Vincent's profession. Her father's gambling addiction destroyed their family, so for her to now get involved with someone who works at a casino…

Will Char be destined to be alone forever? Or can the handsome Native American she met by chance break through her walls and ease the loneliness in her life?

Char Johnson and Vincent Carter are total opposites, in careers and lifestyle. Although they are both attracted to each other both have strong reasons for not wasting to pursue a relationship with anyone. Vincent is fresh out of a divorce and Char, well she has her own ghosts to get rid of before pursuing another relationship.

And then Vincent's greedy, manipulative ex-wife, Tammie, flies back into town and tells Vincent's new love interest, Char, that she and Vincent are looking to rekindle their love, and she tells Char to back off and stay away from Vincent.

Does Tammie have anything to do with the problems Char's having at work or the potential legal problems Char might be facing with the sheriff? Well, time will tell just how far Tammie will go to get her man.

This steamy romance will have you turning pages from the very first page. Not only is hero, Vincent Carter, a hot and hunky Native American, but he’s also a dedicated family man dealing with an ex-wife who’s trying to win him back. Sigh Real estate agent Char Johnson is dealing with her own problems - pressures at work and other complications that could soon put her out of a job. Added to that is Char’s painful childhood having to do with her father’s gambling addiction and the pressures this brings to her relationship with Vincent. So many complications before this couple gets their HEA! You won’t be disappointed.

Dealing in real estate turns out steamier than Char could have imagined. I have a special weakness for a Native American hero, and there’s nothing hotter than a man who’s committed to his loved ones. Plus the family drama drew me in because the problems are easy to relate to. A great read.

I try to finish the books I spend my money on. I did not finish this one. It was poorly written. The author should have had someone read over this before it was published. The grammar was bad, and the characters sparsely drawn. There was a lot of the main character's day to day minutiae that filled the story needlessly. I think with a little work this could have been a good story. I liked the premise, just not the execution.

Don't bother. The writing is choppy, the conversations, and there are so many of them, are stilted and full of completely useless information as pertaining to the story. The phone sex was utterly laughable and embarrassing. Written properly this would have been a short novella, instead the author practically walked you thru every boring moment of the heroines day to day life.

Enjoyed this steamy romance with two people who have a lot of conflict to overcome. The author did an excellent job of bringing the story to a satisfying conclusion.
