About the author

Emrah Yayıcı is a best-selling author on amazon.com and keynote speaker in the fields of business analysis, design thinking and Web3 UX.

The good: short and up to the point.
The bad: short and largely theoretical AND way too simplified at once.
The hilarious (!): I cracked up trying to imagine what 'Picasso-Perfect Designs' would look like. If one actually has a look at Picasso's works, one'd think those wouldn't be quite as perfect as the author seems to think.

I have more than 20 years of experience in software development and business analysis and appreciated this succinct guide to business analysis, specially since it compares agile and waterfall approaches. The book is very practical and it can serve as an introduction, a refresher, or a reference, depending on your level of experience.

Quick and moderately useful

Everything was summarized as if it was a case study for a specific client, which wasn't clear by the more general title.

This book will not give you a good idea of the details of ba specific methodology or theory as it seemed to use a combination approach in the selected example

At times the reasoning for the selection of methods was not fully clear.

Overall it was quick enough to read through and contained a decent summary of some good common sense to apply on a software project.

It's a very interesting book, but is very very brief, it's not detailed at all. I think that as a first approach is a book that could help you to understand basic concepts about the Business Analyst world, like the tools, the concepts, the steps, etc. For a person that is currently working as a Business Analyst could be very very basic, so I recommend this book just for people that is a beginner in this position, or for people that wants to know more about this kind of topics.
