There is nothing she loves more than to use her gifts of teaching and encouraging to minister to women who are fighting the battles in life that she has had to fight, namely the emotional and spiritual battles that come with rejection, abandonment and grief.
Catrina has learned the hard way that the joy of the Lord is our strength and without Him we can bear no fruit, but through Him we can do all things. Her life’s ambition has become sharing the comfort with which she was comforted. She believes there is purpose in our pain.
One of her favorite sayings is, “Don’t waste your tears, let them cleanse you. Don’t waste your pain, let it drive you to make a difference in the life of someone else who is suffering.”
That’s why she named her first book Footprints Through the Sand: a consolidation of life-altering stories of loving and loosing a Trisomy 18 baby.
She says, “God’s Word is Truth and it has the power to set us free from certain lies that grip our hearts and hold us back from being the women we were designed to be. I love unfolding the scriptures to those who are willing to apply it to their circumstances. Nothing transpires lives more powerfully.”
