Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

Alicia en el País de las Maravillas es uno de mis clásicos favoritos, incluso ya leí su versión original varias veces.
En esta oportunidad, este libro es parte de una colección lanzada por Salvat, donde cada entrega es una historia de Disney, se cuentan como en sus películas.
Este sería la entrega 17 y es el primero que leo de toda la colección.
Tengo que decir que a mi me encantó. Es literalmente la película de 1951 pero en versión novela.
Tiene ilustraciones muy hermosas, algunas parecen que están pintadas con lápices y son bastante originales, no son las típicas ilustraciones ni tomadas de la película y eso me gustó también.
Creo que es una excelente novela para compartir en familia o para recordar nuestras infancias.
Se lee muy rápido. Yo creo que si se puede leer en un día tranquilamente porque es una lectura ágil y tiene una letra de buen tamañano. Además, la historia no plantea ninguna complejidad.

This wonderful take takes us through Alice's dream world... or so she thinks.
Alice is a young girl, too tired to keep herring her sister's lessons.
When she confesses what her own world would be like to her kitty, she's not expecting to see it materialized right after... neither to have a huge adventure following after a White Rabbit.
This tale is iconic and features many beloved, yet nonsensical moments, like the Unbirthday parties, the mean spirited flowers, the Queen's anger fits and the mysterious Cheshire Cat.
Of course it's revealed by the end that all of this happened in Alice's dream, but it still works as a tale of wonder, showcasing the power of childlike imagination. It's also a cautionary tale too... we should be careful what we wish for.

Mi opinión de "Alicia en el país de las maravillas" (sin spoilers):
Quiero terminar todas las novelas pendientes que tengo de esta colección (ya que solo estoy comprando mis favoritos). Así que mi reseña será breve.
Sin duda es de las películas más icónicas de mi infancia, con un estilo y un ambiente que te envuelve en lo que es lo ilógico y lo sin sentido. Pero es precisamente por eso que se me hizo algo aburrido, tantas cosas que no mantienen el hilo entre si funciona muy bien en la pantalla, pero no tanto en el papel.

No es de las adaptaciones de esta colección que mas me hayan gustado. Me encanta la historia de Alicia y se me hizo entretenida esta versión. Pero hay algo que no sabría explicar de la manera en la que está escrita esta novela, que hizo que se me hiciera un poco cuesta arriba leerlo. Además las últimas páginas fueron alto desperdicio. Parecía que no la querian dejar a la historia terminar. Esa fue definitivamente la peor parte.
