The Serial Killets Chronicle

These three books had one basic plot, with little variation. A woman in danger; a young child or woman endangered by the mistaken acts of the first woman; a man the woman depends on; seemingly dire warnings or hints dropped by the author that don't come true. The first book was somewhat original. The second filled the first one pretty closely. The third diverged by having the same victim and crazed serial killer, their wasn't an actual child but a young woman who was placed in danger she was unprepared for because the woman being stalked felt that the younger woman reminded her of herself. It did not have quite the horrors of the first two books. Not by any stretch did any of these books had the interesting characters that you wanted to continue to follow, such as Hieronymus Bosch, Alex Cross and other notable detectives, male or female. The women in this series came across as rather stupid.

Not bad not great

I'm giving this threes stars because I read all three books.don't get me wrong the stories were good, but something's said in one story was said exactly in the next also the author gives out critical info you don't want to know, as in when the detective says goodbye to another officer and then tells you she will never see her again! All three books he does this in ! Takes away the suspense! Also the first and second ended great ,but the third book has the same main character as the second book .the way the second book ended did not remotely make you think the third book would be about the same detective and were is grant In the third book? Grant and his wife were centered in book two. Book three was a mess ! Next mix up the characters. Either there in the story or not make up your mind!

Everything about this was overdone. The madness, the killer, the weird obsession with Disneyland... I skimmed through most chapters in order to "finish" the book and I don't think I missed anything important or otherwise.

I love stories I can't put down. Kind of strange reading a character that was super close to the protagonist and then practically erased. The rest was great.

Not my favorite

I first read "Departed". Loved it. Loved the suspense, had a good ending and even though you knew the murderer was not caught it still had a satisfying conclusion. So when I downloaded this second booking the series, I was fully expecting more of the great writing, suspense, murder and mayhem.

This book left so much to be desired, I don't even know where to begin. The previous book has left us with a slightly broken, yet happy with her new family, Natalie. This book has taken that Natalie and totally destroyed her happy nature that everyone loved. It is like a different author wrote this second book without fully reading the previous one. I am sorely disappointed with the way the heroine is depicted in this book. Definitely not a book that I am recommending to any one. So sad, since the last book was really, really good.

Not as good as the previous book.

I found this book a little confusing. In the beginning, it was like she had never met Dan and his daughter and married him after their nightmare. I was well into the book, before the situation was explained . Thought it odd that the name of the daughter who was murdered at the beginning was Angelina, like Dan's daughter. I was also unclear on what happened to Grant and his wife. They were supposed to be her family, but there was a new couple introduced into that role. Almost seemed like a completely separate book, rather than a sequel to book 2.

This is the third book of the Serial Killer Chronicles. It is a sequel to book 2 and resurrects the killer. It is better than the previous two books but there is something missing. I just did not find the book compelling.

I could feel my own death.

Well written. A horror story that will have you cringing at the thought of a madman who uses people to try and find his own immortality.
