A year ago, Ember was terrorized by a serial killer. He stalked her, taking photos of her taking photos of the crime scene. He left her feeling paranoid and afraid. When the police locked up who they found to be 'The Watcher', Ember felt like she was finally getting her life back. She was recently promoted and then it started happening again... she was being watched. Between the notes and the pictures, she didn't feel safe. In comes her new neighbor, Angelo, a man who calls to her in ways she's never experienced before. From his scent to his voice to his allure, she ends up throwing herself at him at every turn. And he's more than willing to catch her. When the truth of who and what Angelo is comes out and what that might mean for her, life as she knew it will never be the same.

I've found a new author to stalk! With The Seeker, Kellen gave me a story full of action and drama and tons of heat. Angelo and Ember were insanely hot and while their intimate moments happened often, there were still plenty of eventful moments throughout the plot to make this story entertaining. I was intrigued by the idea of a serial killer trying to lure out vampires and I only wish that part of the story was expanded upon in depth. I'll admit that I was shocked by who the bad guy turned out to be and I love when that happens. As predictable as this story seemed at times, I was able to be suprised, which only makes me want to read more. I'm off to add more of this author's books to my reading lists!

This reminds me of a joke… a stalker, a serial killer, and a mysterious vampire walk into a sex club…

I'm all about trying new and unknown authors; but there's absolutely nothing new here; this is average in every sense of the word, and kind of cheesy. Have trope/cliché, will borrow, including the tstl heroine. It's like the author didn't know what she wanted to write; so she threw in everything she could think of, mostly culled from other sources.

A red flag was thrown up for me by the fact that this is a dreaded serial, the biggest money-making scam ever. Should have heeded the warning bells this sent off in my head.

A romantic suspense with a paranormal flair The Seeker held my attention from the first. Ember Wells is a gutsy photojournalist who has been the target of a recently imprisoned serial killer for over a year. Thinking herself finally free of worry and celebrating her new promotion to head photojournalist she contemplates hooking up with the detective that worked with her. Her first day in her new office she’s hit on by her skeevy co-worker, cornered by the creepy new janitor and fawned over by the bashful mailroom boy who delivers a mysterious manila envelope. When her celebration plans for the evening are canceled by her best friend she heads home where she meets her new next door neighbor, Angelo. The attraction and interest is immediate. Any further plans to pursue a relationship with the detective fly out the window. As what appear to be copycat murders begin to mount and Ember and her best friend, Laura receive threats and photos, the suspense and tension build in tandem to the heat that develops between her and Angelo. The storyline and the romance are fast paced. While you might feel the relationship develops into off the wall sex all too quickly the paranormal aspect lends believability. While I might want to question love at first sight the chemistry and nature of the paranormal is another thing all together. The story has great secondary characters. Ember is spunky and full of good humor under trying circumstances. Angelo is jealous, possessive and protective but most of all he’s a loving alpha male. The identity of the villain will keep you guessing until the end. The only down side I saw to this story is that it was originally published as serial episodes. I would have been quite frustrated being left on cliff hangers. I’m so glad I was able to read and review the complete set. I would highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance that will keep them guessing. I will definitely be putting this author on my list to keep track of new releases.

Romance/paranormal novel filled with suspense and passion

This five value bundle is a good deal if you enjoy explicit romance, paranormal episodes, and edge of your seat suspense. With Ember Wells as the lead character, her life will be mixed with ecstasy, hope and fear all intertwined as she finds herself in an unusual place never before dreamed of. Her job as a photojournalist in Lakeland Florida will suddenly unsettle her when she receives photographs and feels she is being stalked by The Watcher who is a serial killer.

Ember will date her new neighbor Angelo "Angel" Dimitrov and you will discover why she is attracted to this very gorgeous man. Explicit sexual encounters will occur over and over where the romance and entwined love will be off the charts. Ember's hope is shattered when she discovers that The Watcher is not dead. Evidence creeping in threatens Ember's life and Angelo's promise to protect her is uncertain when friend Laura and Officer Clay warn her.

Perhaps a little eccentric but Ember's realization that Angelo is a vampire transmits her into one when she takes his blood. Discover what happens when the serial killer is in hot pursuit of vampires and whether Angelo is "all that and a bag of chips ". At night Ember Wells hides from the serial killer called The Seeker. This highly suspenseful, action-packed book will keep your interest from start to finish.

The Seeker Box Set by Ditter Kellen Five Shooting Stars

The Seeker Box set by Ditter Kellen contains, Ember Burns, Ember Learns, Ember Yearns, Ember Discerns, and Ember Turns.
Ember is a photo journalist. She is just promoted to that position when we meet her. She is confident and sexy too. She has been at the paper for eight years and happy with her success. She has been through a really rough time her last case involved a serial killer, and one of her co workers refuses to take no for an answer when asking her out.
Angelo we meet him when Ember comes home one day and the sparks fly. We don’t know a lot about Angelo in the first book. He is just dark and mysterious.
From there each story we learn more about Angelo and Ember. Angelo is far more than he first appears to be… and so is Ember. Watching Ember evolve and become who and what she was meant to be is a gradual process but felt like it was suppose to be happening. I liked the flow the books always giving me a peek and making me want more. I suggest reading these when you have the time to sink into a great paranormal romance with a ton of heat in it. Ember truly is a remarkable woman and I loved getting to know her.

The Seeker was my first book by Ditter Keller and absolutely enjoyed it. The Seeker was a sexy, suspenseful, and thrilling paranormal romance that will leave you biting your nails and gasping for breath at the conclusion of each part.

The Seeker boxset was a five part serial with each part of the story picking up immediately where the one preceding it concluded. You will be immediately immersed into Ember Wells and Angelo "Angel" Dimitrov romance, passion, and fight for Ember's survival. The story contained some very interesting and unexpected twists and turns that kept the story interesting, and absolutely blew me away -- especially the twist about Angel's lineage (and all that entailed), and another shocking revelation that I never saw coming. Keller did an outstanding job crafting both characters and a story that kept me engaged from the very first part to the last. I read all 500-something pages in one setting!

I look forward to reading about Laura (Ember's best friend) and Shon (her cousin). That spry also promises to be an amazing read -- especially with the revelation that he discovered toward the end of The Seeker. Paranormal lovers who enjoy tales about vampires will definitely want to add The Seeker to your TBR's.

The Seeker: Five Book Box Set (The Seeker Series 1)
By Ditter Kellen
Reviewed by Terri Parks Allen

Ember Wells knows the meaning of terror. A reporter by day, her nights are spent hiding from a serial killer known as The Seeker. He's stalked her for a year, terrorizing her through the lens of a camera.
Held prisoner by paranoia, fear becomes a lonely companion...until she meets Angelo Dimitrov, a dark, mysterious stranger who sets her world on fire.

Angelo Dimitrov is not what he seems. Sexy as sin and shrouded in secrets, he appears out of nowhere and moves in next door. Should Ember run from this stranger with the moss green eyes or give in to her heart and be burned alive...

This is the 2nd book I have read by Ditter Kellen. I was very excited to read and from page 1, I was hooked. Ember & Angel are on fire! It has so much passion, spark and excitement in this entire set. I read this in 1 day. It was a page turner and I could not put it down. Just when you think you have it figured out Ditter throws you for another loop. "The Watcher or The Seeker" is a scary character and you will never know who it is until almost the end of the book. Highly recommended and you will not be sorry! I can't wait for more of this series. Thank you!

My original The Seeker audiobook review and many others can be found at Audiobook Reviewer.

This is normally very much my comfort genre: sexy vampires, kickass women and violence across the board.
Sure, this book delivered all of those things but it just didn't do it for me - I think largely due to the choice of narrator. Robert Coltrane (not of Harry Potter fame) was not well suited to this title at all, in my opinion.
Firstly, the book tells the story of a female main character and features her female best friend quite heavily - ordinarily I would expect a female narrator in this situation so I was surprised but happy to give it a chance.

Coltrane does accents quite heavily but it wasn't too bad, however his female characters sounded like a combination of Christian Bale's Batman and Officer Jenny from the original pokemon cartoon series (for those of you who aren't familiar with either, a mixture of very deep and also very breathy). This was particularly off putting during the sex scenes, where the audio production also lost some quality when you could hear the narrator between takes and also drinking while reading, there are only so many times you can hear a man saying 'Ooooh Angel' in a high pitched voice before it starts to feel weird.

The story itself is very formulaic, the plucky young journalist is plagued by a deadly stalker but aided by her equally plucky best friend, smart ass cousin and sexy Bulgarian vampire next door, she comes out of it all OK.

It was fairly un empowering to listen to a female character being rescued by her alpha male over and over again, married and *spoiler* knocked up within the course of a week or so. I would have liked to hear her holding her own a little better rather than handing over everything she is to the mysterious stranger with the moss green eyes.
I would recommend reading this book over listening to the audio, truth be told. I suspect that I would have enjoyed the story a lot more if I had read it. If you're a fan of vampire romance novels with an incredibly dominating alpha male, this may be the book for you!

Audiobook was provided for review by the narrator.

***This read is the compilation of five previously serialized installments***
Photojournalist Ember Wells year of terror ends with promotion. The highs and lows of the first day of her new job fade quickly when Ember meets her sexy, breathtaking new neighbor, Angelo 'call me Angel' Dimitrov. Later Ember would think about making plans with Clay the cute cop that handled her case, a new janitor creeping her out and uncertainty about her stalker, the infamous Watcher.

The Watcher's return seems undeniable when notes and photos are delivered to Ember and her best friend Laura. After raising Ember's temperature then her suspicions Angel mysteriously asks for her trust. Clay and Laura meet at Ember's apartment and Clay's unhappy Ember looked to Angel for support when he and Laura had interrupted a quarrel. Angel doesn't want another man close to Ember.

After Clay and Laura leave, Angel unwinds a tale of vampires and forbidden love ending with the Watcher being a vampire hunter intent on luring a pure blood vampire to Ember's side. Shocked but lucid, Ember decides to trust. Ember's determined to avoid another rash of murdered women trying to lure Angel when another note is delivered to her threatening to kill her friend unless Ember surrenders.

This straight reprint combines the separate installment for convenience and each dovetails into the next as an exciting chapter break in this fast paced read. . For my taste the pace was a double edged sword as niceties like logic were quickly skimmed or ignored. Even with multiple recognizable clichés, statements and acts this outing is an enjoyable read if the reader doesn't pick them out.

Ember Wells is photojournalist for the Lakeland Hedger and she has just received a promotion after being stalked for a year by a serial killer, The Watcher. She believes her life is returning to normal until she starts receiving the photographs again. She is stubbornly refusing to believe the nightmare is starting again. At this time she meets Angelo Dimitrov, a dark, mysterious stranger who sets her world on fire. Sexy as sin and shrouded in secrets, he appears out of nowhere and moves in next door. Ember's world changes rapidly once she discovers that Angelo is a vampire and that she is part vampire! Ember along with Angelo, her best friend Laura and her cousin Shon are desperately trying to find the Watcher (also known as the Seeker) and the clock is winding down for his final move.

I was surprised at how quickly I was drawn into the story and loved the unexpected twists. I find as an avid reader that I can often predict what will happen next but not with this series. It was a delightful and suspenseful read with a smashing of romance thrown in. I feel there is definitely enough material to expand this series further with another book. Over all, great read but would caution there are some steamy sex scenes.

The Seeker (5 book boxed set)
By: Ditter Kellen
Review by: Elizabeth/snoopypeach

Ember is a photo journalist that is in the height of her career. Haunted by a serial killer in what she thought was in the past, sends Ember right back into a world of confusion and danger.

Angelo (Angel) enters the scene unexpectedly. Sexy and darkly mysterious he draws Ember's attention. Angel has information that is crucial about the serial killer they call "The Watcher" he knows him as "The Seeker".

As the flames ignite between Ember and Angel, can she escape the attention of the killer? With help from her best friend, cousin and the homicide detective that protected her before, can she escape his plans for her?

This is the second story by Kellen that I have read and I have been greatly impressed. To say the story grabs you and takes hold is an understatement. This story will have you questioning everyone and everything as you take this journey. Just when you think you have things figured out you are spun around and the truth is a startling revelation. If you are looking for uncontrolled, fireworks passion with danger, fascinating characters, with a paranormal bite, then you will love this box set.

Ember Wells is finally starting to live her life on her terms; she has her dream career, best boss in the world (and best friend to boot), and a huge promotion to celebrate. Problem is old foes are lurking in the shadows just waiting for the right moment to pounce. In the matter of a few days Ember’s world spins out of control and she has no choice but to go for the ride, it starts when she meets her HOT new neighbor and falls for him on sight and sleeps with him before even knowing him a day. She also starts receiving pictures and threatening notes, she then finds newspaper clippings of herself and the Watcher (serial killer who targeted her while she covered his crimes as a photojournalist) in her new neighbor’s kitchen, but the Watcher is behind bars. Angelo (the HOT neighbor) Dimitrov’s explanation shakes the very foundation of everything Ember thought she knew about herself and the world around her but she feels she can and must trust him. They bond and together try to discover who, what, and why they are being targeted. An exceptional story, suspense, humor, revenge, jealousy, deception, betrayal and some truly awesome characters! I VERY highly recommend this book, truly a must read if you like supernatural romance!

I found myself also in love with Vlad.. Laura and shon are amazing and I really hope we find out more about shon and john. (sorry if I screw up names, I have a bad memory with names lol) I was totally shocked with clay and I loved this series. It was amazing to watch ember and angelo fall in love and be together. Where can I get my own Angelo?

I have not read anything of Ditter Kellen before and I am sorry it has taken this long! The Seeker was fantastic in my opinion. I could not put it down, I had to find out what happened next. The mystery behind the identity of the Seeker was fantastic, and the reveal had me gasping. The secondary characters were likeable, Laura the best friend and Shon, the overprotective cousin of Ember. But the main characters, Angel and Ember were great. The all consuming passion for each from the first meeting was scorching hot. I have a new favorite Author and will be looking for more from Ditter Kellen. My only question, will there be more?

Smoking hot, burn me up, amorous escapades! Totally a different take on a modern day Vampire romance.

I absolutely loved Angel in all his possessive alpha male glory! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I loved Ember, so independent with Alpha tendencies as well!

The real tasty treat in this story was the complete surprising shocker of a twist the Author gave us in her psychopathic villains as the showdown begins and continues on! Kept me guessing and I loved how non predicable the storyline was from start to end.

If you love erotica, romance, suspense and mystery, pick this delectable charm up!

Thank you Ditter Kellen! xo

I chose the 5 star rating because this book had a great characters and a great story that kept me turning pages. The chemistry and emotions between the characters was right on point. For Angel and Ember, you could feel attraction through the page, with Shon and Angel you could feel the irritation and a little bit of brotherly affection. It was the same for all of the characters, you could feel the emotions. This was my first Ditter Kellen books but not my last. I will definitely have to check more of her work. If you're a fan of paranormal, suspense novels give The Seeker a chance.

If you love suspense, vampires, serial killer mysteries and hot sex all rolled into one you will love this 5 book series. The complete love story of Ember and Angel are in this series. I loved the characters, Ember is being stalked by a serial killer but she refuses to curl up and hide as she is afraid he will target her friends and family. She is a strong character and her new neighbor Angelo sounds super hot, and the sex was explosive. You won't go wrong with this series.

Fantastic series of books, glad it was the full set as I've not been able to put them down. Great take on the classic vampire stories with lots of red hot sexy scenes. I really enjoyed this book. The first book in the series took a bit to capture my attention, but once I got into it I truly enjoyed it. The characters aren't complex, but the story gets more intriguing as you go along. It's not as suspenseful as I assumed going into it, but it's a great paranormal romance.
