3.5/4 ⭐️ Listen I really enjoyed Myome and Berlin relationship from the drunk marriage turned into marriage of convenience. Then just watching the characters fall inlove with one another. Seeing the different levels of success in the music industry when it came to the couple. I just loved the way they handled each other it was entertaining to read. However why did we get a cliffhanger…. It wasn’t needed🌚 . Everything was going good like a nice epilogue or two could have tied this up. The thing with Monica was dragging and boring at this point. I’m still gonna read the next book but what exactly is there to look forward to? We were better off getting family drama lol the women problems are getting old.

My first book by this author as it involved a monogamy trope. Drix and Myome were cute on their love journey in their accidental marriage. That ending… what?! 🤣 so there’s a part two that’s due out in the next few months apparently. I would have waited if I knew it involved a cliffhanger. All I’ll say is Drix warned that girl and if the timeline is correct she’s a liar! So roll on the drama and the husband and wife duo who will beat people up together…

June 15, 2026Idk yall it’s not bad writing but I just feel like the MMC had too many instances of disrespecting women and getting physical with them for me to like him. I also felt like the constant drama was tiring especially when it could’ve easily been avoided but yeah. Uhmm the whole Monica thing makes little to no sense and I don’t really get why Myome was always acting so devastated. This is an ex of how many years? You haven’t laid with her in how long so how is a new baby yours and like why is nobody in the universe clocking or requesting a timeline. This wasn’t ML’s best work imo

Over it
Love U Down is an interesting read. I kept going because the backstage information about music production and tours was really interesting in a romance. Berlin checks a lot of MMC boxes but he's also the biggest reason for 3 stars. Yo, or Myomi, is also a fascinating FMC even though a lot of tricks got a little old after a while.

The characters were fairly root-for-able. I liked them for the most part. Yo seemed capable and her goals were refreshing to see on page. She really was about music and her business and I liked seeing how goal oriented she was. Berlin falls into the protective MMC category, the "you hurt my wife you'll end up hurt" variety which is always fun. And Charm, one of Yo's bandmates, was also a decent side character. The found family moments Yo gets to share with Berlin's family was also nice and it was a change of pace for the MMC to come from a stable home.

Ummmm at first the conflicts were a little angsty. This is a fun drunk fake marriage turned real deal romance. Berlin comes across as an asshole MMC to others but with brutal honesty who's soft for the right one. Trope I love. And Yo is the trying to break it in the business as a trio in a rapping girl's group. So of course there's other women drama. The ex girlfriends who can't catch a clue. Again, at first as a conflict this was interesting and went with the story. It feels like in a Romance there are different leveled conflicts, and in this case the ex Girlfriend not catching a clue can be step 1. So when it gets resolved, the MMC settles it and clarifies it the FMC is on tge same page, and as a reader I'm ready for the next conflict but here it doesn't quite come. Instead these women keep being a problem. Yo had to actually lay hands a couple of times, and honestly it bothered me. I know it's a staple in a lot of Urban Romances but here it doesn't quite fit. One lick sure ok but by the 2nd and 3rd time I started to feel Berlin was doing a shitty job of making sure his lady was secure because she shouldn't need to get out of pocket that many times, whether against an ex or a mouthy frenemy. I also had an issue with Yo putting her hands on Berlin. First slap made sense for the situation, he calmly told her not to hit him again. The 2nd and 3rd time she slapped him gets labeled as toxic love but it really pmo. It was not only unnecessary I felt by that point in their relationship what she was slapping over was nonsensical "how dare you be in the same vicinity of your ex!" SLAP! I also truly didn't like how that behavior was glossed over. It made Yo seem immature. Between slapping the shit out of Berlin a few times and laying hands on his exes or popping off at his exes it was hard to view her as a mid-twenties woman.

That cliffhanger was really unnecessary. Like really really. Again the same exact conflict coming back and being a problem even after the MMC said he handles it makes me look sideways at the MMC. In a read that already felt overly long. He lacks BDE if he can't get his ex-thot psycho hoes under control. I also really hate how the cliffhanger hinges on very obviously wrong situation. How is an ex preggers with bloodwork proof when he never had his blood drawn and they been together at this point for close to a year or at a year? It made zero sense. It was like dipping back into a dry empty ass well for drama for the sake of drama when we already had some good drama brewing with the jealous groupmate or what about the childhood friend turned adulthood associate-only turned possible foe? I thought that was going to be extended in some way, like feeding info and gossip to the blogs but no we are still dealing with delulu exes and Yo getting upset at obvious lies. Like Yo at this point he has your name tatted on his body and did some thangs for your career. I would have preferred this just ended here with a good epilogue. If not maybe the cliffy could be related to a new drama or conflict.

4.5 - ML Bash!! Where is part 2 because i need that?
I loved everything about this story. Didn’t know i needed Berlin and Myome in my life. The pace of the book added so much to their relationship and building it over time. Letting us get to know them and how i now want an accidental marriage like this one. Berlin was so cute how he fell first and you could tell being a husband to the right lady is something he truly wanted. That man didn’t play about his wife. They both had hands. Myome was getting busy and loved it. She never let people play with her.
The overall story being around music, artists and the industry is another thing i highly enjoyed. Drix making moves and really getting back to how it all started for him full circle. Charm and Rome yall not slick. I see you two. Retta = hater. She had some points but did way too much.
Can’t wait to put this on my shelf.

This was a good time. Drunk night turned accidental marriage, turned friendship, then turned love. Both MCs are In the music industry. Drix is a famous rapper and producer. Myome is a up and coming singer in a girl group. I enjoyed reading about the couple. Ow drama but no cheating. I love their lil hood love story. My wife trope. Drix was standing on business. Now there were points it felt a lil slow to me but that’s just a personal opinion. Light hearted moments. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Ending doesn’t make sense to me and it was going well but now I feel it’s being dragged out. The story could have ended with a cute little epilogue. But we get more drama with the Monica chick about this pregnancy and apparently now she has a blood test to prove said baby is Drix’s. That makes no sense because when did he give blood to have a blood test done. I hate when a situation is forced! And that took it down a notch for me everything doesn’t need to be multiple books.

The MMC Drix has anger issues which is so unappealing to me. He has moments of kindness or thoughtfulness where you can see how he’s falling for Myome then immediately after is on page threatening someone or fighting. It got tiring seeing it happen repeatedly. And the cliff hanger I don’t even want to talk about it

I haven't read a marriage of convenience book in awhile and I picked this one up because I was looking for something fun and seen that the author was posting some teasers about it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Drix and Myome had a wild night and ended up married. The two decided to stay together to help their careers and we all know what happens when two people who end up married is in close proximity with each other.
Drix was a no nonsense man that stood on business and will not hesitate to let anyone know they had him f'd up and Myome was no different. They both had a wild streak and had no problem kicking someone's ass if it came down to it and sometimes they did that together 😂
Drix is my new bae 😍 that man was ready to pop off at any minute but he had the biggest heart and would do anything to make sure his wife was happy. Because best believe eventhough it started off as a business marriage he was gonna let anyone who would listen know not to mess with his wife and she was gonna stand beside her husband no matter what even when she has to put him in his place a time or two. They both matched each other's crazy and I loved it. Something about these toxic couples that always have me dying of laughter and entertained by their antics.
I can't wait to get into the next book because I know when Myome sees Monica its on sight and she was already warned so it's not looking good for her.

Great Start to a Wonderful Story
Love U Down is the opening tale of two people, Myome and Drix, who accidentally ended up married, and are forced to stay together. Myome is a musician at the beginning of her girl group career, and Drix is an established producer. Two opposite sides of a music career, opposite upbringing, but similarly desires.
This book had me hooked from the first page. I found both characters hilarious and likeable. I love how similar the two are in character. They are very no nonsense, communication forward, what you get is what you see people. The only issue I have is I know Drix better than Myome.
This story is more plot focused. There is good character development, but there is a lot held back. I think this is because the book ends in a cliff hanger. Perhaps, things are withheld intentionally for the completion of the story. I enjoyed the pacing of them falling in love and the tension build up from all the points of conflict. ML Bash creates staggered conflict and it all reaches the crux at the end of book 1.

Love U Down pulled me in fast with Myome and Drix waking up married and having no choice but to figure it out from there. Putting an up-and-coming girl group member with an established producer gave the story a fun music industry backdrop, and I liked how even with their different upbringings they still matched each other’s energy so well. Both of them were funny, direct, and the type to say exactly what’s on their mind, which made their chemistry work for me.
I also liked that the romance didn’t feel rushed. The tension kept building while new problems kept stacking up around them, so I stayed invested the whole time. My only issue is I walked away feeling like I understood Drix more than Myome, and some things still felt intentionally held back. Then that ending hit me with a cliffhanger and I was HOT because I need authors to warn people about that beforehand. Still, this was a strong start to the series and I’ll be tuning in for the next book.

Drix a Wild Boy
This was my first by the author and it won’t be my last. Drix and Myome we’re hilarious as a unit. Now I am a bit pissed by the ending because I didn’t realize that it ends on basically a cliffhanger. However, I will be tuned in for the follow up.
If you’re looking for something that is interesting and not a slow burn, with lots of drama, and a music trope is music to your ears then this one is for you. I must say I love that. She wasn’t your typical weak FMC in a sense that she allowed a man to continuously play in her face. She gave just as good as he did and I also love the fact that once he was committed and locked in, he didn’t divert from the plan.

Now that I’ve had a few days I can finally speak…….
Love U Down is one of the messiest and problematic books I have ever read!!!!!! But in such a good way. It takes us on a story of what a lot of people would consider a toxic ass relationship. Drix was with the shit and so was Myome. The way both of them was the definition of “on site”, I understood why he kept calling her twin. They were twin flames without a doubt. What started out as marriage of convenience quickly turned into them falling for each other and hard.
This book drew me in from the very beginning and had me all the way to the end. When I say I kept trying to turn the page when I read that last sentence baby just know I’m waiting these weeks so I can know what happened. The next book is very much highly anticipated.

4.7 ⭐️ I ate this book tf up stayed up till 4 in the morning. This is the music industry done right. She’s giving you a full glimpse on the “optics” lol it’s like watching making the band but urban fiction style. I love Berlin downnnnnnnn book bae list for sure. The way he called everybody and they daddy a Bitch ML had me crying. A big steppa over Twin, and yall they really beating people tf up! The cliffhanger better have Monica at the funeral home making them arrangements for them dead parents since she keep playing!

I’m still waiting on a “past” memory on how this truly ALL happened. No one remembers! Lol. One wild night! I love how they love each other down to fighting together! Myome don’t let anyone play in her face. If she makes a threat, it’s really a promise. Didn’t like how it ended, but I’m excited to see what happens next in Book 2. Her slapping him takes me out! His restraint to not hem her up…but his eagerness to fix the issue with a quickness that was the result of the slap. He bet not be the Pappy fr.

I put this book off because of the cliffhanger but once author gave a time frame I finally picked it up and I can say this if my favorite book by this author so far.
A couple that fight together must stay together cause that’s definitely the type of time Drix and Myome were on lol. I liked seeing their relationship go from accidental to love

You would have thought I was watching a movie because I was laughing my butt off reading this book. It was fun and written with toxicity in mind. Berlin and Myome were indeed twins. Stood on business together, apart, and for each other. A time was had but those exes need to be matching.

I love a MMC that loves his woman correctly. And I was rooting for Myome's career success AND every time she had to throw hands.

You lucky I love you, i really liked Myome and Drix together, they just were so easy and very much all bark in an inl bite when it came to them, claiming each other.. i don't f*** with retta, she def a weird jealous bitch. Definitely interested in charm and Rome's relationship. I feel like there's something there..... All no, no I really did enjoy this story, so I can't wait for part 2.

Loved this! Didn’t realize it was gonna end on a cliffhanger but I am too hype for the next book.
Having a MMC who is crazy but will do anything and everything to make is ppl happy is always a win. Then having a FMC who is just as crazy and talented as him! It was just perfect.
Loved how they communicated and threw hands when needed.
