Did Not Finish
August 1, 2026I unfortunately dnf'ed this book. I was not understanding where the plot was going with this. The plot felt more like setting the scene for them to have a new location for spice, which felt repetitive, then actually building the intimacy of their relationship. I wanted to reconnect with Cal & Silas so much and am extremely let down that this book wasn't for me.

I tried. I wanted to love this story but I wasn't vibing with it at all.
There was way Too much repetition in multiple ways. Excessive use of the words heavy, massive etc. like there are other words that could be utilized that mean the same thing. I felt some sentences, and scenes as a whole were repetitive as well with things or events that already happened. Conversations too! Like they said the same thing multiple times in multiple ways.
For me the pacing was too slow and the plot was just not going anywhere. There were a few things that were just random that I didn’t see a point in having them in the story and the sex scenes were overdone like they would fix the missing plot points, and then they way they had a kid (Ian) felt forced and out of Josie’s character. It just felt so disjointed.
I felt the characters personalities kept flipping around as well. Lena seemed to become a needy child. And Don't get me started on the character actions at the end from Josie. But Even Cal and Silas seemed to flip-flop with how they reacted to some things.
Overall huge flop for me.

I’ve been so excited for Silas and Cal’s story to return, been anticipating and I feel I put my expectations up a bit too high. Cal’s version just felt like it was focused more on the actual physical spice than their emotional journey.
I struggle with spice and skim ALOT but this was just waaaay too much, to the point it became tedious and every chapter felt like the same thing going over and over again. Like I get they love each other and that’s part of the relationship but it was overkill! Like we want a story! Not just plain smut.
Also their dynamics really threw me, in the first couple of chapter’s where Silas gets jealous over the reporter. And they had the same argument over and over again. He literally morphs into Cal. The mannerisms but also his whole vibe felt off, I noticed it quite frequently going through the chapters too, like they switched personalities constantly which just gave me a headache.
And the last part with Josie I have no clue where that came from! It was so unexpected and so out of character for her, like the family literally all live on the same land. So the concept of giving up her child when she had everyone around her didn’t feel right.

⭐️ 3.5 Stars⭐️
This was probably my most anticipated sequel of the year. I absolutely adored Cal and Silas in Righteous Desires, and that one is still my favorite of the duo.
This installment felt almost like an extended epilogue told from Cal's POV, giving readers the chance to spend more time with a couple who are already deeply in love and firmly committed to one another. I genuinely enjoyed getting to see them settle into their happily ever after and navigate life together.
The story definitely leans more spice-forward than the first book and at times the spice seemed repetitive. While I personally would have loved a little more plot development and for some of the emotional moments to deepen their relationship outside of the bedroom, I still appreciated how their physical connection reflected the comfort and security they found in each other. The overall storyline felt a little less defined than I expected, but I never doubted the strength of their bond.
One of my favorite parts of the book was watching Cal and Silas remain completely unwavering in their support for one another. Despite the negativity and pushback they faced at work because of their relationship, they never once questioned each other or what they had together. They consistently stepped in when the other was struggling, and I loved seeing them become each other's safe place. Their trust, loyalty, and unwavering love were easily the strongest parts of the story.
The found family element was another highlight. It was wonderful to see both of them building meaningful relationships with each other's families and realizing they had a strong support system beyond just themselves. Their loved ones really showed up when it mattered most, and those moments added so much heart to the story. Evan and Lena were also fantastic additions, bringing plenty of humor and lightheartedness that balanced the heavier moments.
One moment that didn't quite work for me was the way Josie got pregnant and then left Ian (her child) with Cal and Silas in the epilogue. While I was genuinely happy to see them become dads, the circumstances surrounding it felt a little abrupt and out of place, especially in what was otherwise an epilogue-style story. It didn't feel like the most natural way to bring them into parenthood, and more than anything, my heart just broke for sweet little Ian. I found myself wishing that transition had been given a bit more time and emotional weight because it had the potential to be such a powerful moment.
Overall, I had a enjoyable time revisiting Cal and Silas and getting another glimpse into their life together even if all the parts of the story didn't resonate with me. I do wish we'd gotten a little more detail surrounding their wedding and vows, but I still enjoyed watching these two love each other so openly and wholeheartedly.
I'm definitely looking forward to Evan's book!

Once again, Florence has done it, I knew this book was going to be good when it was announced and it was amazing to finally see Silas and Cal find their happy ending ‘officially’
Seeing the emotional connection between the two grow through out this book even more than it was in Righteous Desires, as well as both of them coming to terms with where they fit together and in this professional world where it’s not spoken about openly, them fighting for their love against the people who should protect them in this industry was really powerful, the way they showed their love to each other and to the world made me laugh and cry, I can’t wait for book 3!

Holy smokes…. I don’t know where to even begin I’m speechless!! This was absolutely a 6 star read these boys callum and Silas I will forever think about them daily. I thought Righteous desires had me a mess? Glorious Ruin put my but through the wringer I was on an emotional roller coaster hanging on for my life!! I have lost count the number of times I cried I basically had teary eyes through the whole book!! If I wasn’t crying I was laughing my butt off if I wasn’t laughing I was hardcore swooning or fanning my self off! This was everything and more seeing the next part of their relationship through cals eyes and getting to know him even more and knowing his story and what he went through god my heart for callum. And just seeing their relationship evolve in to something absolutely beautiful and opening up to each other fully and just being by each others side through it all their growth through this story amazing to see it was truly something beautiful. And How protective they are for each other and just how well they knew each other their ticks and tells and how to just be there for the other the chemistry between them was just beyond words they would without a doubt go to the ends of the earth for each other! And god don’t get me started on Evan if you don’t love Evan your just wrong lol he was without a doubt THE BEST FRIEND ever to both Silas and cal he was there through it all and he will always give it to them straight to get their head out their ass everyone needs a Evan in their life!! And I cannot wait for his book!!

3.5⭐️ This was my most anticipated book this year. I LOVE Cal and Silas and Righteous Desires is in my top 10 books of this year. I did enjoy getting to revisit them and see experiences from Cal’s perspective. I do wish this book focused a bit more on them navigating married life and was less focused on spice (there’s a sentence I never thought I’d say). This book just felt a bit gratuitous at times and lacked the emotional punch of book 1. I also wish the vows had been included in the story itself. I feel like that was a missed opportunity to not invite readers into that moment. Cal and Silas getting Josie’s baby seemed quite rushed and didn’t seem commensurate with Josie’s statements earlier in the book. Overall I was happy for any opportunity to revisit cal and Silas but this one sadly missed the mark a bit for me :(

This book was absolute perfection
A perfect end to Silas and Cals story, I don't have one negative thing to say about it.
It went through so many emotions while reading it, it had a bit of everything.
There were tears not just from sadness but also from laughing, god I laughed so much at parts of this book. I felt anger, sympathy and so much more.
The love that these two shared was absolutely everything, they were so devoted to each other, supported and helped each other through so many ups and downs. Cal with his (so called) parents and Si with his panic attacks and guilt.
I especially loved the scene in the hotel near the end with the collar and lingerie, it was a massive highlight and one I won't forget in a hurry.
To see Maverick and Scott finally and properly step up to support the boys was so heartwarming.
The ending and seeing them have a proper wedding was the sweetest, happiest moment .
Just everything about this book makes me happy, I'm sad it's over but I'm also excited for Evans book and hopefully plenty of cameos from the boys.
It definitely one of my top reads of the year.

Glorious Ruin is book two of the Kayfabe series, and what a book two it is!!! Righteous Desires was a 5 star meal- and Glorious Ruin is dessert, sent right to your table by the chef.
Getting Cal's POV was beautiful - I loved experiencing his love for Si through his eyes this time. I also appreciated Cal so much more after learning more about his past and struggles - Cal, the man that you are! I started this book off with tears,ended with tears AND had a GREAT time in the middle... Yeah the spice was SPICING in this one. I am not often one to read past the first book in a series- but I was sold instantly, and I am so glad I did. I'm ready for Evan and Taylor. I'M SO READY.

This was sadly underwhelming. I loved the first book in this duet but this just fell flat, a lot of rinse and repeat and no tension and drama anchoring the story line in a compelling way. I adore Silas + Cal but this was a miss for me.

We continue following Cal and Silas after they finally found their way back to each other in book one. This time, we get to see what it's really like navigating life as a gay couple while working in the highly competitive world of professional wrestling. Their journey is filled with raw emotion, family drama, unresolved trauma, and so many heartfelt moments that kept me completely invested. I don't want to spoil anything because this story deserves to be experienced firsthand.
Florence has such a talent for making every emotion feel real. I could feel the characters' fears, hopes, and frustrations, and all I wanted was to see them happy and fighting for the future they deserved. The chemistry, the tension, and the emotional depth made it impossible to put this book down.

Florence!! You were withholding some very valuable information about the ending of Silas and Cal’s story! I know you have said it was going to be more spicy, and yes queen the spice was spicing!! But you failed to mention (you probably did mention but I missed it), the emotional damage you would inflict. I was not ready for the tears you pulled out of me reading this. It was absolutely perfect. I don’t know if there could have been a better ending for Silas and Callum. The growth they both showed throughout the book was inspiring. How they were there for each other in the hard times, was beautiful. There are so many scenes that I want to reference, but can’t because it would spoil it for other readers. I’ll mention a few though, the beach, Silas & Callum embracing their roots, court house, last chapter, and Philadelphia. I will tell you I was not ready for the scene in Philadelphia. The scene absolutely broke me. It showed so much more of Callum's past trauma, and my heart absolutely broke for him. Florence you put these boys through the ringer, broke them down, and built them back up so beautifully. I loved watching Callum and Silas grow up and fight for what’s right and each other. Sorry this is so long I could say a lot more, but this story will forever hold a place in my heart! And Florence for being a new author, and creating such a beautiful story is something you should absolutely be proud of. I cannot wait for Evan’s story. I also have questions about Mav, and Tate that will hopefully be answered! Thanks for allowing me to Arc read. It was the perfect ending!

Ooooh this was a doozy! The first book absolutely gutted
Me and then put me back together this one just kept
Taking little jabs at me the whole time! This is the conclusion to Cal and Si’s story told from Cals pov! We start the book off in Puerto Rico where Cal is about to lose the championship to Si! We get to see Si somewhere he feels like he doesn’t belong because of his mixed heritage he’s half Puerto Rican but he’s never felt worthy his gear is special and what I loved so much was his tears when they got him the matching flag and the overwhelming support he had when he went out and won the match but it was bittersweet because he was fighting cal but when cal said I love you now put me through the fucking table and go be a champion! Are you kidding me!
Cal of course always has spur of the moment ideas so when. He told Evan he wasn’t leaving that island as Si’s boyfriend but his fiancée he meant it and the proposal was absolutely perfect “you are my legacy so I’m asking you right now in the open daylight where I’m praying you’ll stay with me Silas Scott reed marry me”
When they get back to the reed compound of course Silas goes through with his proposal too in the ring with his grandfathers ring and everyone is there to celebrate them! Everything is all happy and fine and they go to the boardwalk as a huge family annnnnnd 💩 hits the fan Silas punches his cousin for saying something homophobic and has a panic attack so Cal is the only one who can truly help him but of course someone films them annnnnd it’s all over the internet
Here comes the chairman who’s a giant d-bag and starts to make their life a living hell! He wanted them to maintain a professional image after the story hit like they were coworkers which pissed Cal off so they went to the courthouse got married and became the reed-Kincaid’s but that Instagram post was everything! “Professional image here it is deal with it meet the Reed-Kincaids”
The chairman got worse truly he made them be in a broom closet for their locker room to not upset the main roster
He banned wedding rings on married couples
Cal was banned from tv and he ramped up Silas next feud and when Rico went rogue and insulted Cal insinuating cal got ahead because he was with Si oooooh it was a will smith moment “but from your own well being keep my husbands name out of your goddamn mouth”
I love that despite the chairman and all his bs the world
Loved the wrestling husbands I mean when they got to do a match together and their freaking matching outfits! Come on now!
I feel like emotionally they both went through so much this book with panic attacks
Si had them all the time when his career and him and Cal were being threaded
Cal his vivid flashbacks when he was remembering the hell his mom and dad put him through was rough but when he went to Philly after his dad died and he finally told Si about what he went through was heartbreaking it truly was but to see his real mom and dad step up and deal with the things he needed was so precious
there’s always someone who’s trying to hold them down this time it’s the chairman but what he didn’t realize was how many people they had in their corner Maverick and Scott and the people who were truly sick of how he was running things so when they walked into that boardroom wooooooie that was just desserts! It’s like finally the little worm was getting what he deserved!!!

So one thing I really loved about Cal was how he fit in the family so well so when Si’s cousin came to him because she was pregnant I wasn’t shocked he felt so protective of her! He stood with her when she told her whole family! When they finally had their wedding she was there ready to pop! She was only young but she wanted to be a mom or try to be
We get two years later and Cal catches her trying to sneak out she can’t be a mom she can’t handle it and she wants them to raise the little boy Ian! But cal gives her an ultimatum if she walks out of his life that’s it don’t come in and out back and forth!
They fiercely love that boy and it’s evident in that by the letter at the end! The vows and the letters made cry so much!

Everything is all happy and fine and they go to the boardwalk as a huge family annnnnnd 💩 hits the fan Silas punches his cousin for saying something homophobic and has a panic attack so Cal is the only one who can truly help him but of course someone films them annnnnd it’s all over the internet
Here comes the chairman who’s a giant d-bag and starts to make their life a living hell! He wanted them to maintain a professional image after the story hit like they were coworkers which pissed Cal off so they went to the courthouse got married and became the reed-Kincaid’s but that Instagram post was everything! “Professional image here it is deal with it meet the Reed-Kincaids”
The chairman got worse truly he made them be in a broom closet for their locker room to not upset the main roster
He banned wedding rings on married couples
Cal was banned from tv and he ramped up Silas next feud and when Rico went rogue and insulted Cal insinuating cal got ahead because he was with Si oooooh it was a will smith moment “but from your own well being keep my husbands name out of your goddamn mouth”
I love that despite the chairman and all his bs the world
Loved the wrestling husbands I mean when they got to do a match together and their freaking matching outfits! Come on now!
I feel like emotionally they both went through so much this book with panic attacks
Si had them all the time when his career and him and Cal were being threaded
Cal his vivid flashbacks when he was remembering the hell his mom and dad put him through was rough but when he went to Philly after his dad died and he finally told Si about what he went through was heartbreaking it truly was but to see his real mom and dad step up and deal with the things he needed was so precious
there’s always someone who’s trying to hold them down this time it’s the chairman but what he didn’t realize was how many people they had in their corner Maverick and Scott and the people who were truly sick of how he was running things so when they walked into that boardroom wooooooie that was just desserts! It’s like finally the little worm was getting what he deserved!!!

So one thing I really loved about Cal was how he fit in the family so well so when Si’s cousin came to him because she was pregnant I wasn’t shocked he felt so protective of her! He stood with her when she told her whole family! When they finally had their wedding she was there ready to pop! She was only young but she wanted to be a mom or try to be
We get two years later and Cal catches her trying to sneak out she can’t be a mom she can’t handle it and she wants them to raise the little boy Ian! But cal gives her an ultimatum if she walks out of his life that’s it don’t come in and out back and forth!
They fiercely love that boy and it’s evident in that by the letter at the end! The vows and the letters made cry so much!
I feel like this one was spicer than book 1 I have so many favourite spicy scenes

WHAT?!?!?!?
SPOILERS AHEAD! ⚠️‼️⚠️‼️⚠️‼️
Wait. Evan and Taylor?!?!?!?!? Stttaaaahhhhhpppp!! I was kinda hoping for Mavy and Tate. 😱😱😱 WHAT was that?!?!?!? Or what about Lena and Cadence or one of Cal’s sisters? Okay, so I absolutely LOVE these two and I could not wait for this book. However, I kinda feel a little let down. I don’t feel like this was as thought out as the first book. Maybe rushed? First, why did Presley have a vendetta against Silas and Cal? I couldn’t understand why they couldn’t claim that the feud was actually over their feelings for each other or blaming it on their breakup, and rewrite the storyline. I did realize once Julian came into play why Presley couldn’t have changed the storyline (since then the ladder situation would be irrelevant), but why not after that? And about the ladder - Did the UWF repay Silas for all Julian’s medical bills he paid?!?!? Jerks! Second, so what happened after Cal moved to creative? Assuming he saved the day and the next show, but how did everything play out? Third, Cal said he wanted to have kids, but they had been married for over 2 years and were still just traveling around and working? Fourth, what was the outcome with Ewan’s estate? Fifth, no mention of Cal informing his family after leaving the courthouse. He just shut off his phone and that was that. Sixth, “the end”? Just like that??? Does Josie change her mind? Is it possible to even make this legal since she’s not around? How did Scott handle this? I would think the grandparents would want the kid. Seventh, Silas asked for his mom’s name and then what? Nothing? Just wanted her name? I thought we were getting hints that he’d find her in Puerto Rico or she’d show up at the arena, and then the entire topic was gone. Actually, that’s the trend in this story. Dramatic event, just to be completely forgotten 2 chapters later.
There were other irks in here, like the editing, but mostly it just seemed like the flow was off. I felt like it was a continuous cycle — new trauma dump followed by anxious lulls over and over. And odd things. Including the newly formed dom/sub situations we found ourselves in. 😱 Where did those guys come from? They both almost seemed like completely different characters at times.
All this to say, I wasn’t exactly happy with this book 2, but I also was so invested in Silas and Callum that I still consider the full story a win. If book 1 hadn’t been so good, this might be a 3⭐️ review, but I just love them so much!!!! Their dynamic, their chemistry, how they describe each other. I absolutely loved Glorious Ruin. Righteous Desires is definitely one of my top reads of the year, and that is a tough act to follow. I, however, knew my girl Florence was nothing if not capable!
This book gives us Callum's POV, whereas the first book was entirely from Silas's point of view, and let me tell you...this was the book that filled in every gap that I didn't realize how bad I was missing in RD. There were so many moments from the first book where I thought, "Okay, but what was Cal thinking?" Well...now we know, and I loved every second of it and some.
I already adored Cal in the first book, but this one made me love him even more. He's such a complicated character. He's frustrating, protective, emotional, stubborn, and just...beautifully written. We finally get to understand why he is the way he is instead of just seeing the aftermath of his decisions. That really made everything come together full circle.
Emotionally, this book put me through it. There were times I was laughing, times I was crying, and plenty of times I was yelling because some of these characters had me feeling like I needed to come in and defend my boys. The wrestling politics especially had my blood pressure through the roof. It reminded me so much of watching Vince McMahon-era wrestling with the manipulation, power trips, and treating wrestlers like they're disposable. If you're a wrestling fan, you'll definitely catch some similarities, and I loved that little extra layer. Some of the antics were very on par with what we learned happened behind the scenes during his reign there. It made me even angrier knowing that this was the reality for some of these performers.
What really made this book stand out for me was the emotional depth. Learning about Cal's biological parents absolutely broke my heart. We see how he developed his issues with attachment and resistance towards figures of authority. But then getting to watch him embrace the family that truly loves him, and that was everything. I love a good found family, and this book delivered even more of the Reed clan as well as adding in the Kinclaid clan. Between the wrestlers, the friendships, and the way both families slowly came together, it just felt so earned.
This book also tackles discrimination in a way that feels very real. Whether it's the quieter moments like changing HR policies or the outright in your face homophobia, it never shies away from showing how much Callum and Silas have to fight just to exist together. Despite the MANY hurdles that they are fighting through in this journey.
Five stars doesn't even feel like enough.
Six stars. Seven stars. However many stars we can pretend that exist.

I didn't think Florence Wolfe could top Righteous Desires... and then I read Glorious Ruin.
This book completely shattered me in the best possible way.
Told from Callum's perspective, Glorious Ruin fills in every missing piece from the first book. So many moments had me thinking, "What was Callum feeling here?" and finally getting those answers made me love this story even more. Seeing everything through his eyes added so much depth to both his character and his relationship with Silas.
Callum is such a beautifully layered character. Protective, stubborn, vulnerable, fiercely loyal... and carrying far more pain than anyone realizes. Learning about his past, especially his biological family, absolutely broke my heart. It explained so much about why he struggles with attachment and authority, making every step of his healing feel incredibly meaningful.
And then there's Silas. These two are everything together. The way they know each other's tells, instinctively protect one another, and never stop choosing each other through every impossible situation had me completely invested. Their relationship feels hard-earned, and watching them continue to grow together was incredibly rewarding.
I also loved how much the found family expanded in this book. The Reed family, the Kinclaids, and the wrestling community all added so much heart to the story. And Evan... everyone deserves a friend like Evan. He'll support you, call you out when needed, and stand beside you no matter what. I already know I'm going to devour his book.
Beyond the romance, Florence Wolfe tackles discrimination, power, and corruption within professional wrestling in a way that felt authentic and impactful. The politics behind the scenes, the homophobia, and the constant fight for respect added another emotional layer that made this story impossible to put down.

First there was Righteous Desires. It was an emotional hit to my heart and soul that I did not see coming. Such an immediate love for Silas and Callum that I had my breath taken away in the hard parts, and cried sad and happy tears for them. Glorious Ruin was the continuation of their story and it did not disappoint. Florence has a way of writing the characters on her story that you feel like you are living their emotions with them. Cal's POV was amazing. He is Silas's rock. He battled terrors no kid should have to and came out the best man. His control, his gentleness, his need to fluster Si and the joy he finds in doing it... all come down to his unconditional love for Si. The way he deals with Silas's anxiety, panic attacks, and simply how his brain works is exactly the way someone with those stressors needs. Silas also shows up 100% when Cal's at his breaking point when the past shows up to haunt him. I loved seeing that. They both are 100% in this relationship.
There are so many sweet moments mixed in with the dark battles they are fighting that you will fall in love with these two even more. Big life changes. Sweet moments. Intense moments.
This is a very open door, high heat romance. While they are such menaces to each other with the teasing and foreplay that you can't help but laugh at times, the underlying love and trust they have for each other is unmatched. The heat is unmatched. They both take on dominant and submissive roles flawlessly depending on what the other needs. These scenes will have you swooning and sweating.
This story had some familiar faces that will make you laugh with their snark and banter, a few that will break your heart, and one that will make you root for Cal's control to break so he can ruin them. There are also some new faces that you will love immediately as they show their support for Cal and Si. I loved the details put into the places in this story. The Reed Land... the house in Philly... The details on the page all added to the intensity of experiencing the emotions running through Cal amd Si. I loved their times spent in Puerto Rico and Wilmington.

Reading this was as electric as a pay-per-view!
If you still think hockey romance is where it’s at, you clearly haven’t read a wrestling romance! After all men grappling on the floor, jumping on each other and hitting each other with steel chairs ? If that isn’t peak romance idk what is.
This continuation of Silas and Cals story finds them at a pivotal point of their careers: Cal is about to pass over the Title to his scripted arch rival and secret love of his life. But while things are working out professionally staying hidden is only an option because both men are firefly protective of their peace.
This was such a beautiful story and Silas and Cal are MCs you won’t forget about for a while.
Sweet Silas (whose father maybe should have had him tested 😂) he’s carrying his family legacy, the guilt for the botch that changed so many lives and constantly battling his own brain, anxiety and panic attacks. Seeing him be able to claim his Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 heritage that he felt he had no right to was beautiful! In this book he also gets a little bolder, more confident in his relationship with Cal and shows us his fiercely protective side.
Cal, ugh you sweet angle! Cal finds the beauty in giving in and being able to not always be the strong, dominant one in this book. Submitting to Si when the mood strikes him and still being the rock and anchor Silas needs! He opens up in this book and lets Silas in completely! With Silas on the Reed Land he finds what he never had: a home. One he eventually manages to claim for himself and not feel like an imposter anymore.
Now for Silas and Cals love? Above all else it’s real: messy, sometimes heartbreaking but undeniable in it’s “meant to be”. These two love each other so deeply and for everything the other is! It’s the kind of love you read romance books for!

While the story continues right from where Righteous Desires ended, this book is all from Cal's POV.
The Kayfabe universe has truly altered my brain chemistry. Si and Cal are living rent free in my brain and there is no chance of them leaving any time soon.
These are some chonky books so it's not hard to believe that you feel so emersed in this world. Every single character and location is crystal clear in my head.
I hear the crowd chanting...
I feel the tension in Gorilla before that big pop...
I hear the insects humming...
I feel the tension in Evan's shoulders dealing with all the shenanigans...
And we were promised this book would be spicer and it DELIVERED! All I'm going to say is the belt scene!! 🔥🫠🔥 If I ever have the chance to touch one of those belts it will be a quick "no thankyou" for me.
If you are looking for a book that will literally give you blood, sweat and tears, while 2 men who are absolutely perfect for each other fight for their happily ever after, this is the one for you.
And I promise this is my last point, but I love a good easter egg hunt. I was flipping back through book 1, filling multiple post it notes with clues and even went as far as to start a name map of all the characters and how they would connect. It's so much fun trying to guess who the next couples will be and what surprises might be in store for us.
Wait... I lied... THE PLAYLIST! perfectly curated for each chapter, i highly recommend listening along to feel the full impact. Those heartstrings get a real workout.

ARC Review
I want to start off by saying I love Cal & Silas down!!!! They are definitely my babies. The First book I fell in love with them and their journey and the story overall. I loved the side characters and I am excited for Evan’s book. To start off Cal and Silas are now together and navigating life after having been apart for nearly a decade. I do like getting everything from Cal’s POV. One thing I will say, I wouldn’t have minded a dual POV in the first book, I feel it would’ve been nice to get both of their POV’s at the same time. But onto the main story, Silas and Cal have been through a lot and now Silas is at the highlight of his career. Cal is supportive all along the way and that’s one of the great things about the story. They support each other and lean on one another every step. One thing I will say is it did kind of read like an extended epilogue into their lives and that was not a bad thing. There was conflict with outside entities and less conflict with themselves. Overall the book was good and I do see myself re reading it in the future. The reason for the 4 stars though instead of 5 is because I wasn’t as enamored as I was with the first story. I loved the wrestling element and I wish there was a tad bit more of it seeing as with sports romances now the sport tends to be a little bit of a backdrop. And the other thing that was a little wonky was the ending where Josie got pregnant and left and then they just kept her baby, yes she didn’t give it to them but that’s just it, it was very out of character and just kind of out of left field. I do like how Cal wanted to be more like a HHH, but it was a little odd at moments. Overall the book was good and I’ll definitely pick it up in the future. I just enjoyed the 1st one a pinch more.

I fell in love with Cal and Silas in Righteous Desires. I NEEDED their HEA in Glorious Ruin and Florence Wolfe DELIVERED. I love how we have Silas’ POV in RD and Cal’s POV in book GR. There are two sides to every coin and I felt like we needed Cal's inner thoughts. I also felt more connected to Cal in this book. Silas and Cal are the against all odds couple and at times, I was sure the secretness of their relationship and the publicity paired with their professional careers would cause everything to implode. There were some one-two gut punches in this one. The emotional damage was Category 4 Hurricane Strength. I was sobbing. The ISLAND!!! I loved how they are there for each other even when things are tough. Callum's struggles really struck a chord in me. I loved how he was able to finally embrace some of his Puerto Rican. I cannot say enough about these two. I loved the wrestling, the moments of vulnerability and LOVED the spice. There was so much more spice in this book, but it was so good. The found family vibes were EVERYTHING. Silas and Cal have so many people in their corner, including Maverick & Scott. [SPOILER]The plot twist with Josie had me but in the end, it played out exactly how it should have. The parallels between Ian and Callum and Josie and Fiona. GAH! The full circle of them talking about seeing each other as husbands and as dads in RD then we have that ending in GR! My heart! I’m going to need more of them in the next book, even if it's just a little snippet of their lives now. They really are ride or d!e! I’m dying for more of Evan. I cannot wait for his book.

4.5 ⭐️ rounded up. Silas and Cal are one of my favorite MM couples, and Righteous Desires is an absolute favorite 6 ⭐️ read for me. Of course this book has a different feel, as book 1 ended with them already reunited. I kinda loved the jealousy in the beginning of this book because honestly it’s reality that sometimes people just can’t get over stuff immediately even when they get their man back. I loved the unwavering support they gave each other, the way they leaned on each other and went to bat for each other whenever the other needed it. I think a main difference in GR was a lot more micro plots happening, but I think it’ll be relevant moving into the other books she has planned for this universe.
The spice did feel a bit repetitive at times - still loved it, especially Silas’ lingerie era - and Cal sometimes felt like I was reading Silas’ POV, but overall, this couple and this universe still remains a favorite.

What a couple! My god. I mean where do I even begin?! Silas and Callum, such a beautiful couple and fantastic characters, genuinely. It’s a rarity that I absolutely love both characters so much, there’s always one that I lean more towards, but not with this. I absolutely loved these characters so much as individuals and together. Evan and Lena, my god the found family in these books was incredible. Evan is such a true friend and practically brother to both of them, loved it! Loved the dual POV for both books, was really scared that we would never get to hear from Cal, but I’m so glad that book 2 is all from his POV.
I was really nervous going into the 2nd book, really thought that we were going to be in for an emotional roller coaster of them having to hide their relationship and doing everything they could to bury it, but I was pleasantly surprised when they did everything in their power to let everyone know about them. It was fucking hilarious to see them not give a fuck what Presley said throughout. My only gripe with the book was the end involving Josie, I really thought it came out of nowhere and was so abrupt. Idk, it just seemed very rushed and off to me. But overall, I adored this series.

While I did enjoy this book, there was just something about it that didn't resonate with me like the first one did and now that I'm thinking about it, I think it was the lack of wrestling and moments "on screen." The conflict and drama was good but I think it should have been sped up so we could get more of them together, kayfabe and all. Like, that in-universe audience was clamoring for storylines of them together and I was too. That part was the most interesting to me and the moments where the wrestling was the focus shined to me. and I wanted more of that!
A lot of sex, so much I ended up skimming the smut scenes for dialogue that moved the story along. Because I don't think the way they use sex is wrong, it was just not the most interesting element to me, so after like 3 sexy times in a row at one point I was like, what are we doing here, let's get some plot lol. Also, the way they acquired Ian kinda came out of left field.
There's usually a tease of the two characters that will be featured in the next book in the series, but I don't think the MMCs interacted at all, so that will be interesting.

I really enjoyed this book—it was such a fun read. I loved that they fought so hard for their relationship and never gave up on each other. Most importantly, Silas finally got his head out of his ass and started showing, through his actions, just how much he loved Callum. I understood that he was scared and wasn't ready, but I also felt like he put Callum through so much unnecessary pain. Learning about everything Silas went through as a child was heartbreaking. He is such a strong individual, and I'm proud of the person he became.
Silas's dad, on the other hand, got on my nerves acting like he was the Father of the Year. Did you forget everything you put your son through? So don't act like you have the right to get angry or punch Callum. Callum showed what a real man does for the person he loves—he didn't let his demons control him. If I had been there, I would've literally suplexed him. 😂 He made me so angry!
But anyway, I really liked the book. It was a satisfying ending, and I thought it wrapped everything up nicely.

This was a great conclusion to Silas and Callum's story.
It had all of the spice, the high heat the angst that these 2 characters have. It was a beautiful, heartbreakingly journey to see them come to the understanding that they weren't willing to sacrifice their happiness and their love for literally anyone.
It was so nice to see Callum face his past, but also understand he did not have to face it alone and stand up to his mom. And it was kinda interesting to see how the events in the end correlated with Callum's past.
If Presley has no hater, it's because I'm dead. That man was so cruel, and you could tell that every single thing that he was telling callum Silas to do or couldn't do had literally no premise, no reason to it.
But I'm super excited to read about Evan and Taylor I'm looking forward to divide submission.

I absolutely loved this book I read book one and wanted to see how Cal and Silas story ended. What broke my heart was that these two men had finally found their way back to each other only to be have to hide their love for each other. Being in such a male driven sport both men had to pretend to be enemies. What I loved was the fact that Cal and Silas weren't letting anyone stop them from being together and they had finally had enough of hiding. This book was so good in how it showed how these two men never gave up they fought for their love and the chance to be together. I also loved how this book showed how there is still toxicity in some of our sports today and even though things have changed its not enough. Yes these may have just been characters in a book but they illustrated the cost of not being able to love someone outloud.
