I liked this one too!! I'm so happy I ended this collection on a high note with the last two actually being cute.

I'll always be basic when it comes to hockey romance, I just eat it up every time, especially when both of them are players. I liked the summer camp vibes, her ramblings, his "grumpiness" , the lake, the yearning, the little things and the club. I think this would work great as a novel, I really wish it was longer. I did find some scenes cringe, but I'll always love a she wears his jersey moment.

All in all, while this collection was mostly a miss, these last two definitely pulled it forward!!

I am slowly getting into more hockey romances and I gotta say that this one was adorable. Cheesy? Sure, but completely adorable. If a man is secretly in love with a woman and pining for her and she's completely oblivious or think he hates her, you know I am all over that. Give me 500 pages of it. The banter was cute and the chemistry was chemistry-ing. A quick, easy read that should honestly be longer because I need more of these two. This was probably my favourite of the collection.

Summer Thaw was soo cute! This is part of the Summer Lovin’ Amazon Originals collection and it’s definitely short (50 pages) but so sweet and fun. Did I definitely want more with this couple? Yes! But did I have fun anyways? Also yes.

Hattie and Colin are both team leaders/captains of men’s and women’s hockey teams, she was formerly dating his teammate but they recently broke up. Colin has always been icy towards Hattie and she never could figure out why, until they’re forced together staying at the same hotel for summer hockey camp! He’s been into her for 2 years since the first night he met her, which happened to be the night she met her former boyfriend as well…but she definitely should have picked Colin. He’s all in and it’s super cute and easy! On KU with read and listen.

Fine sports hockey romance about two mens and women's captains. There's a hint of grumpy sunshine, some yearning, and while this has a lot of potential it just kind of felt like a lot of nothing. Still one of the better stories though, as I liked that despite the relatively short length this still has time for some actually ice hockey/plot development. But maybe I've just been scrapping the barrel with a lot of this collection, and even the smallest hint of a storyline is catching me by surprise.

Hattie and Colin both play hockey. She used to be with one of his teammates but they’ve been broken up for a bit now. In the meantime, Colin’s been mean to her/ignored her so that he wouldn’t get even MORE attracted to her 🙄.

They go to a hockey camp and he finally finds out she’s single.

There is a single kiss

Then an epilogue 2 months later

What irritated me is him saying he’s been IN LOVE with her for years 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Ummm… HOOOOWWW?!? Did you ever talk to her??? Did you have a conversation? Like how would you be in love with her!?

This was cute, but also like… meh. The shortest one of the six stories and I actually wish it was just slightly longer as I feel it could’ve really benefited from that with the character dynamic that was here. overall, I think this is a fun little set of Novella‘s to welcome in the summer! ☀️

This was a fun little summer, hockey romance novella. Its a super short read (less than 50 pages) and can be read or listened to in under two hours. It's a quick story about to college hockey captains, Hattie and Collin. Hattie always thought Collin hated her since he was always so icy towards her. Turns out he's actually been pinning for her for two years, but his teammate was her boyfriend. It's also a fun blend of the Moonshoot Hockey and Valley U worlds.

Quick, cute. I’m using these novellas as palate cleansers for the dark dystopian book I’m reading and they are perfect for that. This is the common miscommunication - I think he hates me, but he’s actually distant because he likes me - shenanigans.

Not my favourite in this collection of novellas, but cute.

This was extremely short but it was also kinda cute. Sweet enemies to lovers f/m romance that takes place at a summer camp for college ice hockey players. It was pretty simple with good dual narration.

2.5⭐️This novella series has the audio bundled with each story on KU, so it’s not bad if you just want something light in your ears. Each one being under two hours and the books around the 50 page mark. This particular story was a little too high school cringe for my taste though.

The H spent two years where the h thinks he hates her, it's to a point where even her friend says that he's nice to everyone else but her 🙄. Her response is to just keep talking *at* him whenever she's in his presence because she honestly doesn't know what she did to make him dislike her. She's had a boyfriend for most of the time, he was even friends with her ex..... Now she's single and they're away at hockey camp together.
He starts out being an asshole then he finds out she's single and that's it🤷🏾‍♀️ I was an ass because I liked you and she's all "I like you too" ..... We speed through them spending some time together...... No sex
Epilogue..... I love you.

****** I hate when NA romances end without telling me what happens to them in the future! Like did he go pro? Did she get to be a reporter? Wtf 😒 I'm overly irritated rn
