3,5 Stars! A very compelling story, filled with secrets and misunderstandings, a tortured heroine and a hero with a broken heart. Maybe this time around they can make it!
Nevaeh and Landon or Thor and Heaven. Two people, two couples, two different timelines. Their second chance comes after two years of heartbreak, pain, death and finally absolution.
Nevaeh had to make a choice, she had to break Landon's heart when they were both in high-school, she had to take a job that would question her morality and make it through her mother's sickness. Landon was left behind thinking the worst of her and losing himself piece by piece everyday.
Two years forward and Nevaeh is ready for a new beginning, or at least that's her goal. Helped by Peyton, her best friend, she finds a new home and a huge surprise living there!
Such a good start but around the middle the story lost its edge and became a big cliche. Even so i still loved the first part and the last one. Objectively it wasn't perfect but for me it kind of was. This story had some of my favorite ingredients on it: Jealous exes, Roommates, Passion, Second Chances if it was also well written it would have been a total winner!
THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- I loved the story-line. - A little too obvious that Peyton is the voice of reason. But still she was a great friend. - Needs a lot of editing! - Their pranks to each other, were amazing. - I wanted more of the games. They should have waited for him to be single. - Landon's experiences after their first break up. Wow! It's tragic and romantic in a twisted way. - The writing is amateur, awkward and maybe a little rushed at times. - The story seems extremely underdeveloped at points. With such a premise there was so much more to do, than fill it with sex scenes. - I liked Gavin, he was very honest. - Too much sex!

Well what can I say other than this book is AWESOME. This is the first book that I have read from S.R. Watson and I must say it did not disappoint.
After losing her mother to cancer Nevaeh decides she has to get away from all the bad and painful memories of her past. So she enrols in FSU and moves in to an apartment with her best friend Peyton and two other roommates, only when she meets the other roommates Giselle and Thor she has the shock of a lifetime when Thor turns out to be none other than her first love Landon who she had left broken hearted 2years prior.
This is a second chance love with a love triangle that has been written perfectly, it keeps you guessing with what will happen next and just when you think you have it figured out BAM she hits you with a twist. I was hooked from beginning to end.
I wish I could give it more than 5*** it certainly deserves it, so if you love a bit of suspense some twists and turns and a HEA then this is the book for you.
This book was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I connected to Nevaeh instantly and felt all the sad, happy and steamy things she went through. Then there was Landon, I didn't know if I wanted to fall in love with him or slap him. In the end he won my heart. This is a definite must read and will leave you on the edge of your seat with all the twists that will keep you wondering how much more these two can go through.
Nevaeh is a young girl who is in love with the quarterback of their high school. When her mom becomes ill it's up to her to make sure they are okay financially. When things got real bad Nevaeh found her self doing things she was ashamed of. When she couldn't take it anymore she knew she needed to let the love of her life go. When her mom passes away and she moves to go to school with her best friend she learns she will be living with the one person she never thought she would see again.
Landon also know as "Thor" lives with his new girlfriend and her friend. When their roommate Peyton has her friend move in he never expects it to be the girl who absolutely crushed him. Landon doesn't like the new living arrangements. When his girlfriend Giselle needs to go back home for a family emergency will Landon be able to deny his feelings for Nevaeh?

Sometimes helping the ones you love means sacrificing a piece of your heart. For Nevaeh Hewett, it means leaving behind her boyfriend Landon Blake in order to help her mother who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Two years later, after her mother loses her battle with cancer, Nevaeh is able to start over fresh with her best friend Peyton at FSU. Things seem to be looking up for her as she starts a new chapter in her life…that is until she is introduced to her roommates. Thor is gorgeous, cocky, and the star quarterback of the school's football team, but there is something oh so familiar about him and Nevaeh knows it. Only problem is, Thor is dating their other roommate, Giselle. Despite his relationship status, Thor can't stay away from Nevaeh and a love triangle soon ensues. But that's not all! So many twists and turns happen throughout this story that I didn't see coming, and when secrets are revealed from all of those involved, my jaw was practically hitting the floor. All is not what it seems, and by the time I finished this, I ended up hating "sweet and innocent" Giselle.
This is the first book I've read by S.R. Watson, and it certainly won't be the last. A definite must read!
after doing what she had to do Nevaeh makes a fresh start moving in with her friend to attend collage there was no way she could have known who one of her flatmates would be Thor is hes a cocky sexy full of himself starquater back
Thor was no other than her high school first love Landon sparks fly but hes already taken creating a great love triangle (yes im a sucker for a good one)
all the sneaking around will always come out in the end who will he choose the girl he loves or the girl hes in love with
the past will always catch up with you every time u think things will work out something else stands in the way of true love (yes i found myself shouting out loud nooooooo)
i really couldn't put this book down i had to find out what happened next will true lovers end up together or will thor's girlfriend win his heart so many twists and turns you never know what will happen next
I had such high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, I stopped feeling excited after the first 10% of this book. Not my cup of tea. Rating it 2.5 stars because I found the premise good. The characters seemed childish to me, the cheating turned me off (even if it was for the sake of the heroine)and I couldn't connect to the heroes...Also, the editing is not good. Seems rushed and full of typos. A pity because I enjoyed the author's previous work...

I was given the wonderful honor of BETA reading TOOHD. S.R. had me hooked within the first few chapters but then left me panting for more with her many twists and turns. I would check my email like a crackfien waiting for my “fix” until she’d send me more chapters to read.
There's drama, laughter, douche-baggery, some great wise-ass remarks, plenty of twists and turns, and some scorching bedroom scenes. This review is difficult for me to write, because there is so much that I want to say but I'm not giving anything away, I'll let you all experience it on your own.
Oh yeah -- Mr. Shawn Dawson on the cover is pretty hot as well!!!
I received this for an honest review.. I have to say that this was a FANTASTIC read. This book is a wild freaking ride. One that you just don't want to end. This book has it all.. Angst, sexy sexy hotness, jealousy.. I knew the minute I picked this book up I would not want it to end.
Neveah and Landon were high school sweethearts and Neveah breaks up with Landon because she has so much on her plate and doesn't want to drag him down. a couple years later they meet up in the most unconventional way. This book was a roller coaster you just do not want to get off...
Sorry guys there is so much I want to tell you about this book but I don't like spoilers. Just know this is one book you do not want to pass up!!!!!
I think I found yet another book boyfriend!!! As a reader, I find it difficult to review books... so as reader... I wish I could re read this book for the first time, so you can fall in love with the characters again and to experience the emotions anew!
When I saw this crazy cover I knew this was gonna be baaaad. This screamed 2010 Wattpad. What a mess. I can't believe this book has nearly 4 stars. The cover is insane, lol.
Every single conversation in this book is awkward as heck, nobody talks like that, not even your grandma. The writing is juvenile and lackluster. There are a lot of characters and all fall flat. Plot twists come out of nowhere and make little sense. The worst part of this book is the mmc, completely irredeemable. He is a vindictive manwhore with anger management issues. Also fmc and mmc cheat on his girlfriend, they couldn't wait like 3 days... I really question the choices the author made.
Fmc starts working at a strip bar, which (turns out later) is actually owned by the mmc's uncle. She signs a year-long contract for 20k (dude, seriously...) but takes off after three months. She later thinks she might have sold herself cheap. You think so??? She needed the money for her mother's cancer treatment. They have no safety net.
She doesn't tell her bf about stripping and breaks up with him instead. She says she has someone else. A few years later her mother is dead and she moves to live with her friend and enrolls in the same college. Her friend invites her to live as a roommate, she is rooming with another girl and her bf who is called Thor (cause he wields football like Thor would a hammer, this book is full of bullshit like this).
Turns out this is her ex-boyfriend who now hates fmc because of the break-up. They act as if they are meeting for the first time and then slide into juvenile war of making fake dating profiles online and adding laxatives in smoothies. In the end, it turns out this gf knew who fmc was and planned this whole situation because she felt like hers and mmc's relationship wasn't going anywhere and wanted him to meet the ex-girlfriend and magically realize that he didn't love her anymore. Fmc and mmc ended up cheating on the ow while she was visiting her family.
The ow comes with the best plan ever to get mmc's attention and pretends to be pregnant. Suddenly mmc's uncle is back and demands 50k from fmc. Shit goes down and mmc breaks a door and also beats up his uncle, but he also gets mad at fmc for stripping and doesn't listen to her explanation, just plain calls her a whore and leaves. The uncle threatens to kidnap fmc but that fizzes out into the background.
Meanwhile fmc and mmc have been rooming at his friend's apartment, his friend got conveniently into an accident... Then the fmc stays with her friend at the sorority house. Insert other random shit that happens in a span of one week.
Finally, the fmc decides to leave, also leaves her phone behind so she doesn't have to be disappointed when mmc doesn't contact her. Great logic, I mean she could have left only her sim card behind but nope, she left the phone. She goes to randomly live with her old neighbor who kindly provides her with meals and room, for free apparently. Fmc works as a waiter for pennies.
Eventually (after two weeks) mmc finds her, sort of apologies and they proceed to have loud sex in the old lady's living room and later in the fmc's room. The old lady mentions later that the walls are rather thin... Oh, did I mention that the mmc sneaked away from his gf one night earlier in the story to have loud sex with the fmc. The fmc's friend heard it but the ow didn't?? And the friend supported fmc all the way.
Mmc proposes to fmc. The end.

This book was a trash or seem to be written by a teenager who has no idea what life or situations like the book has is all about. It all seemed comical and silly. The H and h both were disgusting people The h is a bitch who loves generalising people, is TSTL and basically a moron who also suffers from a betraying body syndrome in presence of the H and has no self respect and keeps making stupid decisions again and again and the whole novel had her crying every day and night for the same.
The H is the biggest manwhore with no brains. He easily believes everything that is said to him and basically fucks and fucks and know the h will always come crawling to him. He had no redeeming qualities, is a cheater so basically they both deserve each other.
I literally only finished this book because I just couldn't look away. It was so much drama! They were high school sweethearts, she broke his heart. Then they became enemies to lovers. It was so much happening. I probably would have like it more if Landon/Thor wasn't so horrible. Neveah did not deeserve a lot of what he did, yet she kept going back, and he kept dragging her back. I was most bothered when he called her fat. Considering his girlfriend was very thin and always working out and talking about how they eat really healthy, that was a low blow. He never apolized for that. Some people won't mid this, but it's a no for me.
Here's what I liked about this book. 1. I mostly enjoyed the style of writing. It had the right amount of descriptiveness to keep it interesting without getting bogged down, and the conversations flowed naturally. 2. The strong friendship between Nevaeh and Peyton. 3. Landon is a dirty talk champ! Love his filthy mouth!
Here's what I didn't like: 1. Nevaeh put off waaaaayyyyy too long telling Landon about her "secret" and her rationalizing became tedious. 2. Their football team played Oklahoma and won? Come on, now. ;) 3. Weak editing. Seems like there were lots of missing words.
I did really like the characters and I love how they have a strong connection even from before the book even begins. I like that they get a bunch of obstacles thrown at them I liked to watch them maneuver threw them. I didn't like the twist to the story I felt the let down that it wasn't playing out the way I expected also I couldn't get over the fact of willing to cheat on someone no matter what the circumstances are.
The writing wasn't engaging and the characters were all a little sleazy. There is a lot of cheating in this book. Usually I am fine with cheating if its told in a way that wasn't so blatant and selfish. I understand he had a girlfriend but I wish he didn't fuck her so obviously in front of the heroine after they were already reconnecting. If he had done that before and still hated her I would have been fine with it. The sex was on the smuttier side.

Started out good but I couldnt get passed the fact that our . She lost all my respect after that. I dont see her as heroine at all. She was a bad person imo.
Spicy and over the top read like a soap opera. Our heroine needed saving and the hero saved and deflowered her mmmm...😍 spicy. I was taken on a roller coaster ride .
Entertaining and romantic! Love the second chance romances! Landon and Neveah had a lot of adversity but kept finding their way back to each other! Great story!
