They took her memories. Now she’s their pawn. To find out who stole her past, she must play their game-- but if she fails, she won't make it out alive. The court is divided, and Maea is caught in the center. Although few know about her gift, her power to see the future makes her a valuable asset. When her vision saves a foreign princess, it exposes her power to the court. Now everyone wants her for their own, and two men vie for her attention. Mysterious courtier Johai might know about her missing memories, and how she lost them, while charming prince Adair is a notorious rogue whom may have hidden motives of his own. They will both do anything to get her on their side. Drawn into a web of courtly intrigue, Maea discovers ties to her forgotten past and uncovers dangerous secrets that threaten the kingdom, and her life. Nicolette Andrews is a born and raised San Diegan with a passion for fantasy, especially if it has a romance and some mystery and intrigue mixed it doesn't go amiss either. Apart from writing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, preferably somewhere outside enjoying the San Diego sunshine.

Unexpected Twists

This box set turned out to be more riveting than I expected. The trials of Maea, Johai, and all of their friends and foes kept me on the edge of my seat. Every time I thought I had the plots figured out something totally different happened. The storytelling, world building, and character introductions are exceptionally written with a divine mix of intrigue, deception, love, war, magic, and ever changing heroes and villains. I recommend this book and author to young adult and adult readers of fantasy authors such as J.R.R. Tolkien, David Eddings, George R.R. Martin, J.K. Rowling, Terry Pratchett, Terry Brooks, C.S. Lewis, Rick Riordan, Brian Jacques, Christopher Paolini, and the like. Make this your next read. You will be glad you did.

This series was very interesting but sometimes confusing. I really enjoyed this series. The characters are strong and the storyline is intriguing.
This is a fight between good and evil in a never ending circle but the time is coming for it to be broken. Join Maea, Johai and countless others as they fight for survival from a great evil.

Another great by this fabulous fantasy writer. I had to keep reading until I was finished. Maea is trying to solve the problems regarding the evil. It’s not as easy as it appears. Loved it.
