Heal Me #1

Salvation

Rate this book
A chance meeting turned my world inside out.

Intelligent, sexy, and rich. With a dash of roguish charm and a cocksure smile, Nathan Blake is the ultimate fantasy. He can have any woman he wants with only a glance.
And he wants me.

My past has left me broken and humiliated, wary of men like him.
I cut myself off from the pain, moving thousands of miles away to escape every reminder, determined to start anew.
I’ve been second best before. It isn't happening again.

One kiss and I'm caught under his spell, drawn to him with every breath I take.
I can't resist.
The passion that explodes between us becomes an intense connection neither of us thought we'd share. Or need.

The suffering inside me reflects his – a pain I know he feels, but can’t bring himself to reveal.

I have no idea his love can heal me – that mine can heal him…
…if only I can let down my guard for him and trust.

Salvation is a captivating story of finding, fighting and finally giving in to a love that is clearly meant to be. This is no ordinary billionaire romance - it is a beautifully tender, tastefully erotic story with twists and turns that will leave you wanting more.

Warning: This work of fiction is intended for mature audiences over the age of 18 due to the sexual content and explicit language used throughout. Parental/reader discretion is advised.

Please note that even though this book is set in the USA, it is written from the POV of the female lead who is English, therefore British English vocabulary and spelling has been used.

Most days, you'll find Stephanie John on a yacht, wearing a very skimpy bikini, drinking champagne, eating chocolate and never gaining weight.

When she isn't asleep and dreaming, in real life you're more likely to find her at the school gates, wearing whatever she dragged on that morning, drinking copious amounts of coffee. She still eats chocolate, though -- everyone has their vices, right?

Somehow, amidst the chaos of full-time mummy duties, she manages to write. Contemporary romance has always been her favourite genre to read for as long as she can remember (age-appropriate, of course).

Never in a million years did it occur to her to write one of her own. Now, she couldn't imagine doing anything else.

I don’t really read books with sexy young billionaires with issues and the beautiful women who beguile them. It smacks of Fifty Shades and really the best thing about that whole spiel was the movie soundtrack (that and the fact that I discovered how far back in my head my eyes could roll). So if I knew that this book was about a sexy young billionaire with issues I probably wouldn’t have read it. But I am so happy this came across my way.

I love some angst and tension in my romance and I love a couple of flawed characters who make terrible decisions and this book had all of that plus some extra steaminess to boot. Instead of a heroine who was way too naive for her own good and would do anything for said issued billionaire, I got one who was strong, witty, fun and completely realistic. She was someone I could respect and relate to. Instead of getting a broody, arrogant alpha hero with control issues I got someone who was funny and sexy with just enough intensity and cockiness to keep you wanting more.

The back and forth banter and their constant push and pull (mostly thanks to Kara) kept me nailed to the pages. The chemistry between them was on fire and Nate definitely knew how to deliver the good stuff. All in all I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing with a lot of fun and sexy times but also moments that were surprisingly emotional and heartfelt. A really refreshing read that may make me look twice at other books with this trope.

***********I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review**************

First off let me just say that this book is AMAZING!!! I found myself not wanting to put it down and if I had to put it down, then all I could think about was hurrying up so I could delve back into this book. I connected with Kara and adored her from the beginning. She is a strong female character even though she had moments where her self consciousness gets to her. Kara is smart, funny, and easy to relate to. Nate Blake.....I am in love! I wished over and over that I was Kara throughout the whole book! He's freaking amazing and so delectable. Move aside Gideon Cross! You are NO MATCH for Nate Blake! Kara and Nate's chemistry is undeniable. I love their playful banter and the sexual tension is immensely felt. I could go on and on about this book, and I will say that 5 stars doesn't cut it for this one. It deserves as many stars as I can find. Do yourself a favor and read this story! You WILL NOT be disappointed. Steph John is headed to stardom! You have a fan for life! I can't wait to see what's next.

Sexy 5 star book

If you like guys who wear suits and have enough charm to seduce you with one look then meet Nathan Blake. As if the suits aren't enough he is loving, loyal and sexy as hell!

Kara is a woman struggling with trust issues, thanks to past experiences. So meeting Mr Blake comes at a time when she is extremely wary of men.

Can Mr Nathan 'I don't make love to women, I fuck them' Blake convince Kara that he only wants her?

Well you will have to buy and read this sexy book if you want to know the answer...

I loved the build up of romance between Kara and Nathan it wasn’t insta-love which I don’t particularly like, but instead a true to life romance which has its pitfalls and twists. I could relate to Kara with her doubts and although frustrating at times, I could understand her reasons for being wary.

I can assure you of this though...You will be seduced and maybe even fall in love with Nathan Blake

First off I’ll start by saying that I won a copy of this book. I am not sure I would have picked it up, because sometimes you can read too much of a genre (think hot, billionaire male leads) and think, I’ll give this a break…

WELL… I AM GLAD I didn’t ignore this book! If you’re looking for a Contemporary Romance then I think Stephanie John has nailed it with “Salvation”. Right from the get go, the small details of what the character was doing as they were speaking and interacting with the others, was a wonderful addition to assist the brain processing what was happening. It was really non-invasive and had me immersed into the story, immediately.

There were times I could have really throttled Kara, and her need to sabotage things, or keep things from Nate, but all was forgiven when throughout the book it’s revealed what she has kept secret, and why she did. Allowing Nate to break down those walls just makes him so much more swoon-worthy. Instead of getting lost in an arrogant, dominant, billionaire, the reader actually get a gorgeous, handsome, intense, billionaire who has secrets of his own. Secrets that make him the way he is, but all for the better. The use of minor character, Mai, Kara’s assistant and best friend, was a great way of breaking up the storyline and ensuring it wasn’t just about the two main characters.

Nate —- what can I say? A man in a suit, who can command a boardroom…SIGN ME UP! It really works that he isn’tA photo quote from Salvation, a contemporary adult romance novel by author Stephanie John arrogant or aggressive. He has just the right blend of intensity and intrigue that makes him all the more attractive, and Kara a very lucky lady!

A warning…the heat level in this book is OFF the Richter scale! Be prepared to put the fan on and swoon a little. The man knows HOW to please his woman, and boy…that comes across on the page! Luckily for the reader, with so much heat between the pages, Stephanie John makes it interesting and fresh, and ensures that it’s not cliché and repetitive. You may need to start the cold shower, because reading about Kara and Nate and their chemistry is sure to make you need a little breather!

Johns has written in an easy-to-read manner that draws you into the story and will have you hanging out until the end. Speaking of the end… jawdrop … that was it!?!??!! I only JUST read that it’s a part of a series, and boy am I glad I did, otherwise I’d have to seek out Ms. Johns and ask some very serious questions! This looks like it will be a really great series and I commend Johns on her upcoming release.

A fantastic debut novel from Stephanie John.
Nathan (Nate) Blake is one HOT specimen and definitely a new favourite bbf for me.

Nate is a successful business man with women falling at his feet but a chance encounter with Kara Collins spins his world in a complete 180, the problem is she works for him and he doesn't mix business with pleasure or does he.

Kara has recently moved to America from England after a bad break up she's determined to make a new life for herself that doesn't include falling in love and although she stands her ground and doesn't fall for Nate's charm immediately how long will it take him to break down the wall she has built around her heart.

A great read with great characters both have things from their past they find hard to talk about but to enable them to make a go of a relationship they both have to learn to trust each other. I will tell you I had tears in my eyes around 70% so this book will play on your emotions but im sure you'll love this couple as much as I did. This isn't a standalone and I'm really looking forward to reading more Nate and Kara.

ARC gifted by author in exchange for an honest review

4 Stars!

First off, you cannot tell anyhow that this is Stephanie John's debut book.

As a couple and even as individuals Kara and Nate are two characters that the readers will like and relate with.

Kara is a strong character unless and until she does not succumb to her past. Incidents from her past have left her scarred so much so that, she left her home, the job that she had always wanted and has left her with major self esteem and trust issues.
She moves from England and settles in America trying to live on her own and surprisingly, adjusting to the life of a single woman quite well.

Nate, the CEO of the company Kara works in, on one hand has a soft, gentle, caring and loving side that Kara brings out in him, and on the other, is a strong, imposing and intimidating man in the business world.
Yes, Nate is your playboy turned into a loving and attentive *wink wink* boyfriend.

There were a two aspects of the book that I dint't think of much. Firstly, Kara's constant suspicion towards Nate every time he met a girl or anybody else. Yes, Kara was betrayed in the worst way possible, but you give the benefit of the doubt to even the worst of them out there.
And prior her, Nate was a playboy, so for the past and the present to collide is natural, but that doesn't mean she can go accusing Nate every time without letting him explain... Well, he does explain after he has shut her up...

Get your head out of the gutter! He has to raise his voice... Okay, fine and then he shuts her up with *get your head in the gutter*

Stephanie John has written a plot which flows smoothly and the hurdles faced by Kara and Nate make them all the more realistic and relatable.

The ending, now that did definitely leave me hanging and I want to know more! And I would love to see Kara grow more as a character.

Review from 2 Girls a Book & a Glass of Wine by Natasha
If you liked books like Pulse or Forever Black, then you’ll love this book!
Salvation rocks!!!! I’m in withdrawal I want more NATE!!!!! 5 stars all the way! I was hooked from the start. Sleep…I got very little, when I did I dreamt of the story. I didn’t want to put this book down.

I love Kara, I love Nate and I love them together.

Kara is a smart, beautiful, strong woman that has a good head on her shoulders. She’s started a new life in the USA, leaving her family behind and a no good for nothing ex. Kara is called to take her bosses place in a meeting with Nate the CEO of RED. Nate is a force that you cannot be stopped and he won’t be denied. He never gives up. Kara lips may say NO but her body is yelling YES!!! He’s smart, sexy, tall with a very lickable body.

When these too hook up it’s like the fourth of July. If only relationships could be based on sex alone. Nate has a past too, full of heart break and distrust, and it’s why he doesn’t do “relationships” but for Kara he wants to try. There were times I wanted to slap him. He doesn’t open up about everything and I think that’s his biggest problem, but I still loved him. Nate’s past is now mixing with his future and could cost him everything.
I don’t want to give anything away because I can go on and on about this book so I’ll say this:
Salvation is a must read. Book two can’t come fast enough. The characters are amazing not just the leads but all the others that make this story come together. You don’t get to meet Kara brother but she does talk about him and I love him, fingers crossed he’s in the next book. Mia is her passionate loud BFF, who is awesome, she’s just not so good with her own personal life. Ash, I hate her and I know we’re going to see more of her I want to stomp on her, I hope Kara puts her in her place. She’s the perfect villain. I’m sure there are more to come.
This is Stephanie first book. She’s done a great job with the story line.

A steamy, sweet, amazing read.
I fell in love with this book and the characters quickly. I was a little worried with how long the book was. I was worried about slow spots or about it becoming boring or tedious. Well I was wrong to be worried. Sure it was long but that just means you get more for your money. I never became bored of this book. It kept me wanting more and I couldn’t seem to put it down.
Kara was a great heroin. Though she had some issues to work through, she was a fun, smart and I really connected with her. Sure there were a few times I wanted to smack some sense into her, I still loved her.
Nate, Nate, Nate. Mmm Nate. I want one lol. A hot, sexy, sweetheart. He kept me wanting to see more and more of him. He was so sweet to Kara, I fell for him just as quickly as she did. Oh and the way he took care of her in the bedroom damn. Step back all you book boyfriend’s because Nathan Blake is coming.
Mai was a fun and great friend for Kara and I really liked her. I loved Nate’s family they were all great and Will was really funny.
All in all I really loved this book. I recommend it for anyone looking for a hot steamy read and second chances at love.

For a debt novel, this is outstanding. I really enjoyed the story line and felt that these two characters complimented each other. Both had issues, and with some time and trust, they worked well together to be a power couple.

Stephanie's writing is clever. She kept the story interesting and realistic. My only criticism would be that it might have been a tad long as there was numerous sex scenes that started to get repetitive. But they were hot!!!

Kara Collins has only been working at RED as an Associate Finance Director for a few months. She has to fill in for her boss at a finance meeting where she meets the CEO, Nate Blake. Sparks fly from the start. Kara never wants to be a one night stand for any man, which she feels is his agenda. After spending more time with her, it is the furthest thing on Nate's mind.

These two will have to overcome a few obstacles before they can finally be together - but it makes for a great read. There is a book 2, so it will be interesting to see what is next for this couple.

I received a book for an honest review.

Salvation is a wonderful book by Stephanie John.

Kara and Nate are very easy to fall in love with as a couple who find all the things they didn't know they were looking for.

I love Kara as a strong female main character. She is running from her past and has self esteem issues. She tries to find her way in America, easily adjusting to the single life. But when she meets Nate, CEO of the company she works for, her world is turned upside down.

Nate, the strong imposing CEO, has a much softer, gentler side that Kara brings out in him. He is surprised by his reaction to her, but won't give up. He fights for what he knows will be a great love story.

I loved that Stephanie John gives these characters attributes we love, but without high levels of angst commonly present in these storylines. She has written a smooth plot with feel good emotions throughout. Yes, Kara and Nate have some hurdles but they are addressed without lots of drama and set in realistic time frames.

I'm looking forward to more from Stephanie John, Especially book two in this series.

*MUST READ!* Breakthrough Debut by Stephanie John

Salvation (Heal Me Book 1) is the breakthrough debut book by author Stephanie John. Her writing is superb, her characters are believable and her story is unexpected. Oh, and she created NATE BLAKE who is absolute perfection in a leading man.

Kara Collins left her home in England to escape her past and restart her life in the US. With a new job in California, a new best friend, and a new boss (ahem, NATE BLAKE) who is nothing like she expects in all of the best ways possible, can Kara find happiness again?

I have and will continue to recommend Salvation to anyone who will listen!!! Congratulations, Stephanie on a book well written. I can't wait until Book 2!!

Somehow I feel apologetic for only giving three stars since this book is so enormously popular, but I found it to be tediously repetative in sex acts and lacking in a story line that would support all those pages and pages of sex. I would give it about two and a half stars if I could.
The main male character was charismatic and engaging, sweet even, while I didn't find the female main character so interesting. Sometime around the middle of the book I realized I couldn't remember her name. It just felt like I'd read it all before.
I may get blackballed from my book groups over this, but after giving it some thought it's just the best I can do.

This was the type of story I really enjoy. Stephanie John has me intrigues by this book - I just love the interaction between the two main characters - Kara and Nate. Nate is a billionaire who can his pick of women - Kara is someone with very low self esteem - mainly due to the bad treatment she suffered in a previous relationship.

When she meets CEO Nate at a work meeting - she is very wary of him and his reputation - although she finds him so attractive - she refuses to go out for dinner with him. Nate won't take no for an answer and pursues her relentlessly - but Kara does not want to deal with her feelings because of her past and his reputation.

After many tries - she agrees to go for a drink with him and from there things begin to heat up. Nate is a fantastic lover and treats her really well but her insecurities and belief that he is only playing with her keep interfering with their relationship. Seems to have some problems of his own with strange phone calls - but he keeps quiet about things which tell her he Has his own secrets.

Things progress throughout the story and they do form a pretty good relationship. Their bedroom antics get steamier and their feelings for each other deepen - however - every so often there are times they argue about the way they are growing closer but are both are aware there are things they don't talk about and these times cause a rift. Kara doesn't want to tell him of her experiences with her ex-boyfriend - Stuart and he won't tell her who the person is that phones and seems to make him angry.

The reader gets pulled along swiftly wanting to know what is going to happen when the secrets eventually force a confrontation. Nate seems so committed to Kara and treats her like his true love and she believes him more a more. E introduces her to his family and eventually she talks to him about hr past.

She has to go back to England to see her father but before she leaves she finds out about the person who has been bothering him and they don't have time to really deal with it fully - but she does find out she was being watched and it was by this person. She flies out and we have to wait for book two to find out what happens next.

It is a really good story throughout but difficult to review without giving spoilers. The relationship has so many great sexy scenes and times when Nate really wows Kara and spoils her with loving and caring things - the reader will fall in love with him over and over.. Can't wait for book 2!!!! This review done by MAGGIE SMITH - NOT ALEX!!!!

Merged review:

I read this book some time ago and thought I had done a review - but couldn't find it when I looked - so I thought I would look at it again to refresh my memory. I read the first chapter then the second and bang!!! I was hooked again. I loved this story and just kept going because it grabbed me even more than the first time. The way Stephanie John has written this story is amazing!! The build up of the romance between Kara - who was so badly hurt and humiliated by a previous boyfriend - leaving her unwilling to take a chance of being let down again and Nate Blake - gorgeous billionaire boss - who can have anyone he wishes - she is unwilling to give him anything of herself. Nate, however is not one to give up easily and he pursues her relentlessly. He also has some issues in his life which he steers away from whilst falling for Kara in a big way. No more - you really need to read this book and be drawn into the beautiful style of writing from this talented new author. She handles the story with an expertise that will hold you enthralled with superb love scenes - which are told with great feeling - you will feel part of this fiery and very sexy romance. The sexy scenes are written with a heat you can feel. I am looking forward very Mich to book number two. Things are not all that they seem and it will be interesting to see if Kara can handle the problems I see in store and fight for her man against those who want to spoil it for her. Want to see more of some other great characters we meet in this first book. Thank you Stephanie John for a most enjoyable journey. This review written by MARGARET SMITH.xxxxoo.

This book was longgggg
The FMC was a little frustrating she has a MASSIVE trust issue due to her ex bf and she’s always talking about being honest and open when she can’t even do that. ( kinda hypocritical if u ask me ) there were lots of miss communications that isn’t that big of a deal.

Marla (After This Page Book Blog, received an ARC) Review Salvation, Stephanie John
When this book first started, I was a little hesitant. We have Kara, she is English, beautiful, dazzling eyes, great legs, but she is vulnerable, a hard worker with a broken spirit. She is young, but she has definitely been through major things in life. She meets Nate, rich, powerful, movie star good looks, and happens to be her boss. I thought, oh it’s going to be another book like that (which is aok!! I just thought I would see it as a fun book, a sexy book, but predictable), but this is not that type of book! Now they work for the same company, but she doesn’t work directly under him, lol . There is even a witty line about that: “You don’t work for me. Well, you’re not directly beneath me. Which is unfortunate…”

This is a story of a relationship, it dabbles in what if work finds out, but that is not the premise of this story. It isn’t about keeping things a secret from work, which they don’t, or having a taboo relationship. This is really a story of fighting for love, and letting the past go. I enjoyed reading this story so much! It made me think of that lesson children are taught from their teachers, when they teach the class what bad words and bad actions can do to one another, when you ball up a piece of paper then try to smooth it out, yes we repaired it, it’s still whole, but it has its wrinkles, creases, maybe even torn. That is how I viewed the beautiful Kara. She has suffered at the hands of someone who has used and abused her, and that hurt me to read about and moved me at the same time.

Kara, has no idea how beautiful she is, how eyes are all on her, that she is strong, and smart at work. I liked that Stephani John didn’t make her whiny. She made her relate-able as someone who has a lot to overcome, and wasn’t giving in to her desires right away, she was making Nate work for it, and that is what made me really like her spirit. I was saying to myself, see Kara you are stronger than you think.

Enter Nate, who is so intuitive. Yes, he probably liked the challenge in the beginning of someone refusing him, but I think he saw that they were alike. On the surface he is gorgeous, rich, and hardworking, but his past has taken a toll on him and his business. However, he may have healed, but his past is not letting him go.

Stephanie sets a scene, full of imagery. She is descriptive with her characters, the places, their clothes, their emotions. I had so many images in my mind; it was vivid, and beautiful to really feel what the characters were facing. I liked many aspects of this story. I liked how they were evolving, I liked that Kara was letting her guard down at her own pace, but let’s face it, Nate was the man!!! He was alpha in his emotions for her, he wanted her, and once he knew she was the one he accepted this, yes at times he withheld things, because she has trust issues, but these are real things that they both worked on. He use to only want casual sex, and he was the first person in this relationship to want to stake his claim. The sex scenes are off the charts, the places they had it, the way Kara became more confident added spice to the intimacy, Nate’s dirty talk and positions had me fanning myself! You will fall hard for Nate. You will want NATE! If you are single you will want a NATE. Combine that with all the emotions of this story, and I say this is a hit! There is more in stored for us with this book, and I felt like the more thrilling parts of the story, right where the plot was thickening, the story ended. Not abruptly, just enough to tease us! I highly recommend this book, for those who have faced things in their own relationships, or want to read a story where a couple is going to have to fight there way through for a beautiful and happy ending!

Synopsis:

Kara Collins is a talented, intelligent, and gorgeous accountant that is new to the states. She moved to LA after leaving her childhood home in England following a devastating broken heart. She has serious trust issues, and refuses to allow anyone really see her....until a chance meeting with the CEO. Nate Blake is all male, and undeniably gorgeous. When he sees Kara for the first time in the waiting area of his fifteenth floor office, he can't help himself. He has to meet her, and with one touch he knows Kara is different. He is determined to pursue her, and when she turns him down, his shock quickly gives way to a sense of challenge.
After a long minute when I thought he might’ve hung up, Blake quietly warned, “We will happen, Miss Collins.”
Kara meets his persistence with a determined tenacity of her own, refusing to become another notch on his bedpost. Their attraction is impossible to ignore, and Nate is positively brutal in his pursuit.
My tongue darted out to wet my lips. His gaze darkened as he leant closer and murmured, “Those luscious full red lips are begging to be kissed. Keep licking them? See what happens.”
The ensuing dance between them is sexy, sensual, and incredibly erotic....especially when Kara finally gives into Nate's persistent seduction and the electric attraction between them. As past hurts come to the forefront, fear nearly drives them apart.
Tears welled in my eyes. I couldn't imagine my life without him either. “I’m scared you're going to break my heart,” I blurted out of nowhere. “I can’t break it, baby. It’s already broken.” His forearms framed my head, his hands coming to brush the hair from my face as he moved inside me, his breaths coming heavier and deeper. “I’m going to fix it back together again. I promise you that.”
Their attraction grows into an all consuming love, but challenges and insecurities await the couple. The question soon arises...will their love be enough?

My Review:
I will admit, when I first read the synopsis for Salvation, I thought it was going to be another predictable storyline of alpha male billionaire meets troubled beauty and turns her life upside down. A story where his forceful nature sparks something in her, and makes her face her demons and heal her wounds. I was wrong. Nate Blake is the epitome of alpha male….gorgeous, well dressed, body of a god, dripping with sexual promise, and as persistent as an alpha male should be. Nate Blake is also refreshingly REAL. His unabashed pursuit of Kara is expected. His gentle treatment, loving nature, and boyish moments of insecurity were the opposite, and incredibly endearing. Nate will make you fall in love with him as quickly and surely as the sun will rise. Kara Collins is a completely relatable heroine, with trust and body image issues that most of us have experienced ourselves. Her beauty goes far deeper than her golden hair, captivating eyes and mile long legs, though. She is incredibly intelligent, brave, and kind, with an internal strength many of us long for. I was enraptured and enthralled with the story, and Stephanie's descriptions of the environment, emotions, and situations her characters found themselves in were intoxicating. It set the tone for the book, and allowed me to see and feel exactly what she intended us to. I can't wait to see what awaits Nate and Kara in the next book.

I love being introduced to new authors and I have to say that I am definitely happy that I got the chance to read this new book by debut author Stephanie John :) The story was quite interesting and intriguing :) I loved the main characters and enjoyed their journey to each other every single step of the way :) The story is quite well written and the leads in it are quite captivating, well developed and interesting. Kara and Nate feel like real people, with flaws and mistakes in their pasts. And all that just makes them easier to relate to and feel their sorrows and happiness while reading the book.

Kara is quite an intriguing character. I have to say that I quite enjoyed seeing her bloom under Nate's attention :) I loved seeing her gaining her inner strength and self esteem again under the tender touch and encouragement of the delicious CEO. Given her past, it was quite understandable that she had trust issues and had difficulties believing that a gorgeous representative of the male species like Nate will be interested in her. I loved reading how Nate was breaking her walls brick by brick while at the same time allowing her to become herself again, the strong and confident individual she was before her ordeal with her ex.

As for Nate, what is there to say... He is definitely gorgeous, confident and simply delicious alpha male that you can all expect. And given his looks, he has every right to be :) I mean who can resist those mesmerizing blue eyes :) At the same time he is tortured by events from his past (I have to say that I am dying to find out what exactly happen ;) ) that come to haunt him again in the face of his ex. Even trough everything he is going through to protect the woman he loves he still finds the time and the way to show his feelings for Kara. And let me tell you, he probably uses every single romantic gesture you can think of and probably a few more just for good measure ;) So yes, you simply must meet Nate :D No way around it :D

So in a few words, this book is a must read :) I have to say that I was quite surprised by it considering that's a first book written by this author. It is definitely a very promising start and I can't wait to find out what will happen next with them, their friends and families :) And just a little warning :) Have in mind that the book is some what of a cliffie :D Even though the ending is not will leave you awake at night what exactly is going to happen next, it is still quite intriguing and it will make you want the next book in the series as fast as possible.

First of all, let me tell you this....it was absolutely AMAZING. I loved how Steph brought the characters to life; you'll fall in love with each one of them, you'll laugh, cry, scream, and yeah, let's be honest you'll want to smack them on the head for their stubbornness.
With that said, I'll explain why I loved it. The book tells us the love story of Nate and Kara's. He's a businessman, that owns his company in which Kara starts working.
Eventually, they run into each other, and they discover a mutual attraction, one that can't be denied, as much as Kara wishes she could.
Nate was some kind of a player and he thought that going after Kara, was going to be as it always used to be, just another woman....no one special; but that wasn't the case. The minute he started to chase her, he knew she was different; but Kara wasn't willing to end up humiliated, not again, after what she had left back home in England.
As usually, Nate gets what he wants, when Kara isn't able to resist any longer. They start a relationship, which quickly evolves to something more, that frightens them both.
Nate's past is not an easy one either, and though, he lived his life avoiding sentimental relationships, with Kara, everything changes.
But, life has a funny way to throw test into people's path; in order to prove if love, can actually overcome anything and everything.
Nate's past is no longer in the past, but in the present and trying to break the love and relationship, they're trying to nurture.
With the past rearing her ugly face back, what would they do? Will they stick together and battle whatever is that tries to break them apart? Or will the past be stronger that the love they share for each other?
Aside, from Kara and Nate's relationship, we have Mai, which happens to be Kara's best friend, and who almost always enlightens her about how Nate's feels toward her, and how she needs to trust him.
On Nate's side we have his family, his sister, which at first seems reluctant to accept Kara, thinking she's only with his brother because of his money, then we have his brother, which is really a playboy, but is a good man; and finally his parents.
I really enjoyed reading this book, and I can't wait to get my hands on Book 2, and see how everything goes. That means, that yes, the book has an open ending, which leaves us wanting so much more.

Nathan Blake, CEO,sex god, rich and always gets what he wants and he wants Kara.Kara is still damaged from her past, betrayed by her boyfriend shes sworn off men,men like Nate.Nate is her boss carrying his own heartbreak and betrayal that makes him live his personal life the way he does,he enjoys the physical side but nothing more until he meets Kara. From the moment these two meet the chemistry is electric though Kara tries to fight it,not wanting to date her boss,Nate is more than happy to pursue it.Once he breaks down Kara resolve not to get involved what follows is a passionate, intense love story, they cant help themselves, spending as much time together as they can,but with both keeping secrets and holding back how long will it take before it takes its toll on their relationship? Will true love win through and heal two battered hearts that were meant to be together?
I loved this book and totally fell for Nate, yes hes a rich billionaire CEO but hes kind compassionate and gentle as well as being commanding and sometimes dominant.I love the relationship between Kara and Nate she didn’t fall at his feet, though youd forgive her if she did!!Kara,I really loved her character, sweet kind and caring and hurt in the worst way you want her to find her one true love and be happy!! Mai t friend was also a brilliant character she had me laughing so much with her comments and observations we all need a friend like Mai!!! The sex scenes between Nate are red hot,omg my kindle was on fire! Steph can certainly write some smoking sex scenes! But its so much more than sex,you get drawn into their world you feel the emotions and love they feel for one another, its passionate, consuming and you feel thanks to Stephs fantastic writing style. Hooked right from the first page i never wanted it to end…..but it does and on a cliffy so I hope Steph is busy writing book 2!!!Steph has done a fantastic job with her debut book.I cant wait to read more from this fab new author.

Salvation Stephanie John 4·5****

I was given a Arc of Salvation for a honest review
Reviewed for Two ordinary girls and their books

Wow for a debut book this is amazing I was hooked from reading the blurb and couldn't wait to get started. Once I started it I found I didn't want to put it down. I read 60% in one sitting.

Kara Collins is running from her past from England and she finds her way in America she's got a fantastic job place to live friends, she's adjusting to her new singles life, with her past comes self esteem and trust issues what girl doesn't these days :( Kara is working as a finance director at RED, she's asked to fill in on a meeting for her boss. This is where she meets the hot, sexy Nate Blake sparks fly immediately Kara never wants to be a one night stand for no man and she makes that clear to Nate, she thinks that's all he's after.

Nate Blake wow swoonworthy, strong hot sexy rich CEO what more could a Girl want right? Nate will make you swoon with nearly every other word that comes out the sexy mouth of his :)
He alwAys gets what he wants and now he has Kara in his sights!!
Nate has a past of betrayal and heartbreak that's why he lives his personal life like he does, he loves the sex but nothing else that's comes with it until Kara.!!

Can a Kara really get over trust issues?
And learn to trust again?
After all once you're trust has been broken its not so easy to trust the next person that comes along!!!

Can Mr Nate swoon Blake convince Kara he only want her?

You want the answers???
Well get running n over to Amazon and get busy one clicking you won't be disappointed

Loved this book the story is written beautifully, for me personally I wanted a little more drama, Kara and Nate have a couple of bumps, bit get over them pretty quickly, I'm hoping we get little more in book 2
Fantastic read I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and already have

I read the synopsis of Salvation with the small excerpt she provided me and I was interested. I love a story with a strong female lead, and our heroine for this story, Kara, is definitely that.

Kara Collins is a British finance officer living in California when she meets our book boyfriend, Nathan Blake in a totally swoony chance meeting at the beginning of the book.

Nathan Blake (Nate) is the billionaire owner of the company and completely off-limits to Kara. Or so she tries to make herself believe. ;)

Kara has the impression that Mr. Blake is an arrogant womanizer solely interested in lust not love. Nate has to work extremely hard to break this idea from her head, and nearly lost after pulling a real jerk move after their first night together.

Kara's BFF Mai is her wing-woman, bad influence, coworker, cheerleader, and bestie all rolled in to one. Mai encourages Kara to try to open her heart (and yeah, her legs) for Nate so Kara can finally find the true happiness that has eluded her. There were a couple of parts in this book where I really wanted to hear more about what was happening with Mai, so I hope she gets her own spin-off story once the author finishes Kara and Nates! ;)

This book kept my attention from begging to end. Which is hard to do when you have to constantly stop and start again because caring for a baby and adulting takes up most of your time.

The ending. Wow. I STILL have no words for that ending. My brain is trying to process it, and thank goodness I know that this is a series and not a stand-alone or I would be ruined forever after an ending like that. Haha!

I give Salvation 4.5 out of 5 Krissy Stars!

This is a great read and an excellent first novel from this writer!

Congrats on your debut Stephanie. I loved it. Full review on blog on 3/16. And, where can I find a Nate?

First of all, congratulations Stephanie on a brilliant debut! There are so many things I loved about your book especially the theme, a second chance on love. Your characters as well as your story were well written and very real. I love it when I can read a book and connect with characters the way I did in Salvation. Kara is beautiful, independent, but yet reserved due to past heartache. Nate, her boss, is handsome, powerful, rich and also reserved in his own way. Both have endured some type of pain in the past. Together they discover the power of love.

Throughout the book, the characters learn about each other and grow. Nate is Kara's boss. Kara dismisses his advances at first knowing that work relationships can be devastating. But, Kara gives in and finally goes out with Nate. I loved that Nate was so blown away by Kara. Kara truly rocked his world.

I can't say enough about Mai, Kara's friend. She was funny, a great friend and most of all her biggest supporter. You will love her as you read more about her.

The detailed descriptions in this book are another reason I enjoyed it so much. I pictured this story scene by scene. The sexy banter between Nate and Kara was fun making them so likable. These characters were truly enjoyable to read about.

I cannot end my review without discussing the sex scenes. Wow! There are plenty of exquisitely written scenes in this book. Nate is the quite the guy. You'll see what I mean.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in the series. I was left making my own predictions about Kara and Nate's future. They are a couple I am definitely cheering for. I hope it's available soon.

Whoa!! This book sizzles! I'm surprised my tablet didn't overheat!

Nate Blake is the owner of RED, the biggest brand management company in North America. Drop-dead gorgeous, wealthy, kind, considerate, and not a womanizer. A powerful combination to make women weak and men jealous. He is tired of all the women he meets who don't care about him but care about his money and prestige. He carries a secret about a past relationship that left him wary of women and their motives.

Kara Collins is an Associate Finance Director for RED. She left England and moved to L.A. after a disasterous relationship ended and left her a broken woman. Kara doesn't believe any man will ever find her attractive and want her. Especially a man like Nate who can have any woman he wants.

When Nate and Kara meet there is instant chemistry. Nate wants a relationship but Kara can't believe he wants more than sex. Nate has to find a way to break through her barriers and convince her his feelings are sincere.

The chemistry between Nate and Kara is intense. They can't get enough of each other, no matter how much they are together. They are like two dogs in heat! Nate is a tad too bossy for my taste but I think most men with his wealth and social standing probably are that way. There were times I wanted to slap Kara for being so mulish. Too often she took what Nate said and twisted it into something else. I realize her past relationship had a lot to do with that but her ex had never treated her right and Nate was so entirely different.

Kara's friend Mai is quite a character and I hope she gets her own story. I also hope Nate's brother Will gets his story told.

Salvation is well-written and held my attention from the start. This book is a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read more of Nate and Kara's story.

This book was so good. Well, good doesn't start to describe this book! Let's see- superior, superb, outstanding, exemplary, umm- it was just plain HOT! Exquisitely Hot! There that is how I want to describe this debut book by Stephanie John, Exquisitely Hot. Salvation, isn't your normal office romance, or your normal billionaire, alpha male takes his woman, kind of book, it is so much more.

John amazes me, with her writing skill, she writes with a level of complexity that matches seasoned authors. There was no detail too small for her and her story flowed seamlessly. Her characters were rich in description and I don't think, I ever feel I ever feel in love with the male lead, quiet so fast.

What I really liked about this story itself, it was unique. It was a billionaire guy, falling it love with an office staff with one look basically. That part is one in a million, but she really made it different. She made this billionaire different. As I said, I fell for him fast. I do not fall for book boy friends like most people do, seriously I don't. I have a handful of books, that I love the guy, in the book. John made me LOVED Nate in this book.

I really do not want to give a thing away on this book! A friend of mine, was given an ARC of this book and told me she loved it. She really didn't tell me much about the book itself. She said, Stephanie John was a debut Indie Writer and she was good, that is really all I needed to know. I didn't read the synopsis, I went and one-clicked the book. I'm so glad I did! Listen to me on this- DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK!

I give Salvation 5 Flaming Hot Books! ( that is better than stars btw)

*Received a copy for my honest review for Fallen For Books Reviewers*

Nate! Yes. Yes. Yes. I must say that Nate has been pushed to one of my top 5 favorite book boyfriends. He is an amazing character. He had everything you could want in a boyfriend. He was the rich business owner, possessive, masculine, passionate, but also so loving. Never did i get the feeling that he was just an arrogant jerk. He loved and he loved hard. Once he fell there was no going back.

Kara was a good heroine for this book. At time i really wanted to smack her so she would wake up and realize what she had right in front of her. Kara had a bad past therefore in this book she is the insecure one. In the book we learn that insecurities can destroy your relationship if you let them. Through out the book Kara was strong in some aspects but in others she was really weak. I like that towards the end of the book we were able to see her grow. As a character you see her become stronger and more confident!

Kara's best friend Mai was a best friend any of us would love to have. She was always there trying to help her with her relationship. Telling her what she deserved and not afraid of telling her when she was in the wrong. She was witty and had great lines that flowed freely from her mouth.

Overall I would say this was a great book. It had all the things i look for in a book. It was extremely hot and steamy, it had a great story line, and it had great characters. The only down fall and the reason this wasn't a five star for me is it seemed like the author at times used sex scenes as fillers. I love the sex scenes in books but it seemed like sometimes it was over and over. This book is left on a cliffhanger so be ready for when part 2 comes out I know i will!
