What do you think?

Mile High Heist
A half-billion-dollar weapon. A crew of thieves. Thirty-five thousand feet.
Jax has stolen the impossible before. Now his crew faces their most dangerous heist yet.
Working for a ruthless new crime boss, they're tasked with stealing a half-billion-dollar weapon aboard the world's largest commercial airliner.
But they're not the only ones hunting it.
Good girl Olivia never imagined she'd find herself back among thieves. Forced undercover alongside the very man she betrayed, she has one chance to protect her sister— even if it means making an uneasy alliance with Madoc, Jax's ruthless right hand and executioner.
Then the passengers start dying.
The plane begins to fail.
And there are no exits.
As fear spreads through the cabins, Jax and Olivia are forced to rely on each other once again. But every choice is deadly, every desire comes with a price, and at thirty-five thousand feet above the ground, there's nowhere left to run.
Buckle up, princess.
There will be turbulence.

ARC Review
This book is literally just:
🖤 “Thank God they survived.”
🖤 turns page
🖤 “…oh for fuck’s sake.”
Mile High Heist picks up just four months after Heist in Paradise and while you could technically read it as a standalone… you really shouldn’t. You’ll appreciate this so much more if you’ve already met this crew.
Olivia? Certified badass.
Jax, Olivia and Madoc? My new favourite trio.
The plot? Pure, unfiltered chaos.
Like Ryle, this book caused me casual trauma. Every time they somehow manage to get themselves out of one impossible situation, you think everyone can finally breathe… and then the next disaster hits. The chaos never lets up.
Dark romance, thriller, suspense and comedy all rolled into one. I was giggling, kicking my feet, gasping, tearing up and sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I loved every chaotic second of this.

This book was great! I ate it up in less than a day and truly enjoyed the ride.
Disclaimer: I tend to be more verbose at giving critique compared to praise, so while the “didn’t work so well for me” section is longer, I would like it to be said that I really did enjoy the book and would recommend the series to others!
What I loved:
-The plot and the pacing were great! The story moved along well and I was always engaged with the book. I was excited to keep reading and enjoyed the fast-paced heist on a plane plot.
-I enjoyed the spicy scenes and thought they were well done. The mix of high spice but infrequent occurrences made the scenes that much better. The romantic tension building between the characters was excellent! I always wanted more and I think the author did a good job at leaving you in that state of wanting more but not being able to have it yet. You’re enticed to keep reading the series to get what you want.
What didn’t work so well for me:
-While the setting was enjoyable, I feel like it sometimes got in the way. Specifically, I felt like the character interactions sometimes ignored the setting. For instance, the main characters would be talking in whispers, flirting, screaming, fighting, or about to fuck like no one was watching them. The passengers were treated as if these interactions weren’t happening in front of them? Like if I saw a passenger try to discreetly give something to a stewardess I would be confused and possibly alarmed, but the reactions from passengers were kind of ignored unless it was necessary for the plot. And also, I couldn’t always imagine the fight scenes because I’ve never been on a plane like this so it was sometimes difficult to keep a mental map of how the characters were moving about.
-My second note is that I don’t think these can be read well as standalone books. I didn’t read the first book, and that’s totally on me - I requested the ARC because the plot and characters were intriguing, but this book is advertised as being able to be read as a standalone (though to be clear I still would’ve requested the ARC because it piqued my interest). I think the overall plot of the plane heist was interesting and can be enjoyed without having read the previous book, but it felt like there were a lot of details, background information, and sub-plot that were missing for me which affected my ability to fully get into the story. There’s even significant set up for a third book and I think readers would miss out if they didn’t read the books that came before it. And it’s totally okay that this needs to be read as a series, I just think it should be advertised as such rather than saying it could be read as a standalone.
Thank you to the author, Elliot Ray, for this eARC! ✨

Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow just wow, I received this ARC from the author and I need to say thank you, this was an amazing read, I was hoping to pick up the first book before I read this, but I realised I might not have time this month, and it said that I could read it as a standalone, which you can, but oh my I really wish I had read it because I want more of these characters. So I am adding Book 1 to my TBR.
This story had some amazing characters, great sexual tension, yearning and spice between a mix of characters 😉, then you add in the mystery and suspense and you’ve got a really good story.
I want more of Olivia, Jax and Madoc, and the side characters, especially Ryle
The storyline, plot and flow of the writing all really worked for me.
I mean how do you fit so much story and action and sexual tension into a story on a plane 🤷♀️, all I can say is this book exceeded my expectations. The twists and turns in this book, just kept me so engaged, and I’m not afraid to say I binged this book.
This book is a dark romance, with humour and banter, why choose (MFM), high stakes, thriller, and its on a plane so forced proximity.
Is this a slowburn no not really there is history between these characters but The Why Choose part is possibly a bit of a slowburn and is progressing, but the tension between them was worth it. I think we will see more of this come book 3 🤔and I can’t wait. So yes, please give me more of Olivia, Jax and Madoc.
If I can give you any advice? Are you open to it? Read Book 1 Heist in Paradise and then pick up Mile high Heist, you have time.
Releases 31st of August.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series, well I’ll have to but you know what I mean, I would have immediately picked it up if it was available now!
As always I appreciate the opportunity to read and Review this ARC for the author, Thank you.
This review is my open and honest review of this book.

A high stakes heist with a deadly crew on a plane with just one target? What could go wrong? Turns out A WHOLE LOT! 🤯
I was obsessed with Heist in Paradise, Book 1 and have been Impatiently waiting for Book 2. Mile High Heist gave us SO DAMN MUCH! I need more! That ending?! I. can’t.
If you love a fast paced, MFM dark romance with vibes of found family, forced proximity, second chance, banter, slow burn rolled up in suspense, secrets and plot twists you won’t see coming! This is for you!
I loved the “will they or won’t they” feels between Madoc & Jax, as well as Madoc & Olivia. The chemistry between the three of them and the heated yearning between Jax & Madoc was intense!
Can’t wait for Book 3 to see what happens next!
It’s gonna be explosive!
Thank you to Elliot for this ARC 🫶🏻
Happy Reading

🤍Arc review🤍
I really enjoyed this book, so I’m giving it 3,75⭐️.
This is the second book and can technically be read as a standalone. But I really recommend to read the books in order.
This book picks up 4 months after the first book, it’s about the same mmc and fmc. Even tho we get short detailed descriptions and explanations of what happened in ‘heist in paradise’, but believe me, you will enjoy this book more if you start from the first book.
You get to know the characters more, their dynamics, their history etc.
I LOVED that we got Madoc pov, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next.
This was kinda first why choose book I read and I really enjoyed it. Let’s hope that in the next book things will evolve more between all three characters.
(Love Jax and Oliva), but when I first read heist in paradise I thought that was it, their book. I never imagined that this book was a continuation of their story plus madoc.. But I’m loving it.
Thank you Elliot Ray for this opportunity🫶🏼
This was a fun, entertaining and quick read. I just hate that it ended on a cliffhanger.. I’m impatient to find out what happens next😭
(Read the TW, this type of book might not be for everyone)

Mile High Heist by Elliot Ray ✈️🔥🖤
Mile High Heist is the second book in the Crowmarked Series by Elliot Ray, and even though I jumped into this one after reading Book 1, I had absolutely no trouble getting swept up in the story. It can be read as a standalone, but there are spoilers for the first book, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to read the series in order.
This book was honestly WILD. 😂🔥 From the moment Olivia steps onto that ridiculously fancy plane, things are anything but ordinary. Jax and Madoc are part of a crew with a dangerous job to complete, but what should have been a straightforward heist quickly turns into absolute chaos when it becomes clear that several people on board aren't who they appear to be.
And Olivia? She is right in the middle of everything without even realizing just how important she is. 👀✈️ What follows is basically a criminal war at 30,000 feet, complete with deadly enemies, unexpected twists, high-stakes danger, and enough tension to make me forget to breathe.
But let's talk about Jax, Madoc, and Olivia because WOW. 🥵
🔥 The chemistry between these three is absolutely insane. The MFM dynamic worked so well for me, and the tension between Olivia and Jax, Olivia and Madoc, and even Jax and Madoc kept the pages HOT. The spice starts early, too, and I was absolutely not complaining. 😏🔥
Jax and Madoc are exactly the kind of morally questionable, slightly unhinged men that I love reading about. Madoc especially? That man has officially secured his place as a book boyfriend.😂🖤 His personality, his internal commentary, and his completely chaotic energy had me obsessed.
And Jax... that man is DANGEROUS when it comes to Olivia. 🥵 The way he would seemingly burn everything down for her? Yeah. I understood the assignment immediately. He's the kind of man who doesn't need to announce how much he cares because his actions say everything.
Olivia was also everything I wanted in an FMC. 🔥 She's strong, independent, capable, and absolutely badass without feeling like she was written just to be "the strong female character." She holds her own, and watching her navigate everything happening around her was so much fun. I was rooting for her from beginning to end.
One of my favorite things about this book was the balance. Somehow Elliot Ray managed to combine dark romance, suspense, action, comedy, spice, and complete chaos without making any of it feel out of place. 😂🖤🔥 There were moments where I was genuinely nervous about what was going to happen, followed immediately by something that had me laughing out loud.
Madoc's internal dialogue was particularly hilarious. There were several moments where I had to stop because I was laughing so hard, and the whole seat-back situation absolutely sent me. 😂😂
The pacing was fantastic too. The story just kept moving, and every time I thought I'd stop after one chapter, I immediately needed to know what happened next. Between the turbulence, the enemies, the heist, the secrets, the fights, the romance, and all the ridiculousness happening on that plane, there was never really a dull moment. ✈️💀
And there is one scene.
You know the one.
If you've read it, YOU KNOW. 👀🔥😂
I was simultaneously shocked, entertained, and wondering how Elliot Ray's brain works because WHAT WAS THAT?! 😭
There were also so many little mysteries and details that kept me guessing. I'm still wondering about certain passengers and, quite frankly, I need to know who had the sex toys in their luggage. 😂 Because excuse me?! I have questions!
The supporting characters were also really well done, and I loved getting to know more of Jax and Madoc's crew. Everyone brought something different to the story, which made the whole cast feel memorable rather than simply being background characters.
Then came the final stretch. 😭
The tension just kept building, the twists started coming one after another, and I was flying through the pages because I desperately needed answers. I thought I was prepared for whatever Elliot Ray was going to throw at me.
I was NOT.
Because that ending?!
THAT CLIFFHANGER?!
Elliot Ray, respectfully... WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO US?! 😭😂💀 You cannot just leave things there and expect me to function normally.
I was speechless. Genuinely. And the only thing keeping me sane is knowing there is going to be a Book 3 because I NEED ANSWERS. I need more Jax. I need more Madoc. I need more Olivia. I need more of this completely chaotic Crowmarked world. 🖤🔥
What surprised me most was just how much fun I had reading this. I was genuinely gasping during some scenes and then giggling like an idiot a few pages later. 😂 It shouldn't work as well as it does, but Elliot Ray somehow makes the combination of darkness and comedy feel completely natural.
The first book may have been a great read, but Mile High Heist took things to another level for me. I absolutely loved the writing, the characters, the ridiculous situations, the romance, and the suspense. Everything just clicked.
If you love dark romance with a why-choose dynamic, morally grey characters, forced proximity, action, banter, spice, suspense, and a healthy dose of absolute madness, this one is definitely worth picking up. 🖤🔥
Jax, Madoc, and Olivia had me completely hooked, and I'm officially invested in whatever chaos Elliot Ray has planned next.
Mile High Heist had me laughing, gasping, blushing, stressing, and desperately turning pages. And now I NEED BOOK THREE. IMMEDIATELY.😭🔥✈️🖤

🌶️🌶️
Mile High Heist was very different than what I expected it to be, perhaps because I didn't have an expectation going into it. I was so thoroughly intrigued by the possibility of a heist being completed midair that I didn't even stop to think about any of the logistics of such a thing. I really enjoyed the characters, though it is very important that you read the first book before reading this one. People may tell you it's only necessary if you want a little extra backstory. It is definitely necessary for context. I didn't read the first book and I was greatly confused throughout a lot of the introductory portion of this book. That said, once I got a grasp on who the characters were and the general idea of the adventures of the first book, I was able to get more into the story.
One thing I was skeptical about was the fact that the whole book was set on a plane. I thought that certainly it would wrap up sooner, that the entire thing couldn't possibly be happening in the same enclosed space. Boy, was I wrong. And I wasn't ever bored by the setting, in fact the ways the author used the setting to her advantage had be all the more interested in the story.
I wasn't expecting it to be quite as violent as it was to be honest. That's probably the only thing I would warn people against - this book is not for anyone who's squeamish.
Olivia
Olivia was a rather interesting character. She was such a contrast to what's becoming cliche nowadays: the idea that every FMC can do everything she sets her mind to, no problems, and no matter how tiny she is, she can still defeat these huge men, blah blah blah. This was such a nice refresher from that dynamic, and it had me hooked from the first second. I appreciated that she was willing to stand up for herself and her sister, but she didn't think herself invincible. Her relationship with Madoc and Jax was something that I think I needed some of the context of the first book to understand. I did enjoy the turmoil of her principals and her attraction to them, though.
Jax
Jax seemed to be between the extremes of Olivia and Madoc. He wasn't entirely unfeeling, but he was very clearly marked as a morally gray interest. I would like to know more about him, especially considering his brief reaction to Olivia's betrayal.
Madoc
There's always gotta be one really powerful guy with no feelings until it comes to the people he cares about, and then those feelings are of extreme violence. While I enjoyed some of Madoc's quips, I thought his overall vibe was a little cliche. Maybe I've just read enough dark romances that I'm going to find traces of them in each other no matter what I read. I do hope to see more of his relationship with Jax as the series progresses, and I do think it's always interesting to see how characters like this act when their shell is broken into. I didn't dislike Madoc, I just wasn't terribly surprised by how he was written.
I really enjoyed this book, and I'll probably go back and read the first book before the third comes out. There were so many twists and turns that had my jaw dropped, my fingers flying as I annotated, or made me get up and take a lap. I did enjoy this book and I was very happy for the opportunity to read it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

🌷 ARC Review 🌷
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.✨
4/5 ⭐️ Honestly, I couldn’t put this book down, I startet it at night which completely ruined my sleep rhythm, I devoured this one. There is a lot to the story that makes it interesting for example the high stakes, the fast paced storyline and the little sprinkles of love and lust in between. Overall a perfect mix. Jax and Olivia’s chemistry is really enjoyable when they show it and with Madoc in the mix things get even more interesting.
I absolutely love the group’s dynamic, the found family for 6 outlaws ,and the one girl who wants to get in.✨
I definitely had to run to read book 1 beforehand because 5min into the ARC I realized that I didn’t have a lot of context, so even though somewhere in the disclaimer was written that it can be read as a standalone, it can’t. Which isn’t a bad thing! Sometimes story’s that build upon each other can be nice, it just would have been nice to know before I started reading :)
1.5/5 🌶️ This is where the book kind of disappointed me: it was promoted as a very spicy book, which it honestly was’t. I will always stand behind that a book does not need spice to be good! But promoting it with spicy and why choose and then not following through is a bit uncool 🌀
I understand that in 300 pages with a story that is that fast it’s hard to really get into the scenes, but honestly as in book one also it felt like there was the groundwork missing for the scenes. It switched from a climax of a situation (here the cargo scene) to Liv doing Jax, like uhm…? Also, it was a bit weird that Liv and Jax were like „I hate you“ while f*cking but even in the first book they both say that they care for one another, in book one I completely understood that statement, now it just confused me.
I, personally, would like to see more happening between the 3 main characters, and I don’t mean spice per se, I just want some development for their love story.
And PRETTY PLEASE can we get a REAL scene between Jax and Madoc?!??? 👨❤️👨
THE ENDING, this is actually the one thing that makes or breaks a book for me. And here the reason why I deducted a star, this could have been easily a 5 star read but I felt like the ending fell completely flat. I‘m sorry but it sucked and I was entirely disappointed. ☹️ I absolutely understand that as an author you want people to get hooked and excited for new releases, that’s totally fair, but since the first book ended on a massive cliffhanger as well it would have been nice not to leave the readers entirely clueless in the end of this book.
But overall I really really liked this book, my critique comes from a place of fondness that I developed for the book(s)🩷
Thank you so much Elliot Ray for providing me with this ARC. 🩷

Bless the goddamn lord for Elliot Ray giving me an ARC of this because holy crap. It was so good I genuinely feel like I should have paid for it. I NEED the paperback on release. Immediately.
Five stars and it’s not even close.
Why could I not put this thing down?? I read it in like FIVE HOURS. I had responsibilities. I ignored them. I regret nothing.
So where do I even begin…
💜 - Jax. Swoon.
💜 - Madoc. DOUBLE SWOON.
💜 - Olivia. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BADASS QUEEN. LORDY. 🔥
I genuinely cannot believe I'm getting spice this good AND the plot this addictive. Like, who authorised this…
We start with Jax and his ragtag crew of thieves attempting a heist on the world's largest commercial airline. A multi-billion-dollar weapon. On a palace in the sky. And it’s a why choose. I mean… I get why the title was chosen. Mile High Heist. A little wink wink. 😏 Honestly, this is exactly the sort of flight I wish I could take. Especially with Jax and Madoc involved. My favourite sandwich. Thank you, Elliot.
I looooooved the clandestine vibes of this story (which I had no Idea I was actually into??). The chaos. The found family. The absolute menace that is Jax and Madoc together. But I could NOT handle how unhinged this book gets.
One second everything is fine. Then it’s chaos. Then everything is fine again. Then suddenly it’s WORLD. ENDING. And then somehow we're fine again???
But this is Elliot Ray, so obviously things are never actually fine.
And THAT ENDING???? GIRL. PLEASE. WHAT THE ACTUAL F*.** Elliot, you should be arrested, tried, and sentenced to six months in prison for the emotional rollercoaster you just put me through. Although, honestly, that would give you plenty of time to write the third book, so… I'm willing to negotiate. 🙂
The story had basically every trope I love: dark romance, why choose, found family, forced proximity — but everything is turned up to approximately 9000. And then there are all these delicious little micro-tropes sprinkled throughout: hurt/comfort, grumpy sunshine, hair pulling (okay, scarf pulling…), and touch-her-and-die taken to an absolutely deranged level.
And the cargo scene. I’m sorry. This book deserves five stars for that scene alone. And the spicy scenes??? I'm still sizzling. 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (in case you're wondering)
This book was genuinely unputdownable. And now that I’ve finished it, I’m actually depressed. How the hell do you make a plane flight this entertaining??? I will never look at planes the same way again.
To the author: thank you for ruining my life in the best possible way. I need the next one like I need air. I'm suffocating over here 😭

ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Reviewed using the P.E.A.C.H. Rating System (Plot, Enjoyment, Artistry, Characters, Heart), developed by Erin Smith.
Plot - 5/5
Mile High Heist delivers a high‑stakes, tightly woven plot that never loses momentum. We follow a covert team of thieves aboard a luxury aircraft, tasked with locating and stealing a potentially catastrophic weapon.
They’re not the only ones hunting it - rival factions, hidden motives, and deadly games unfold mid‑air, and some passengers pay the ultimate price.
The story is layered with past grudges, found family dynamics, betrayals, and gang rivalries. Despite its complexity, it’s incredibly easy to follow and packed with sharp twists. A genuinely gripping setup.
Enjoyment - 5/5
This book is fast‑paced, action‑heavy, and simmering with tension, exactly the kind of read I’d recommend to anyone craving adrenaline.
It’s the second installment in the Crowmarked series, and while it can be read independently, I think readers will benefit from understanding the emotional history between the characters. That said, I haven’t read the first book yet, and I still devoured MHH, bit I will 100% be reading the first installment 'Heist In Paradise'
And that cliffhanger? I’m already desperate to pick up the next one.
Artistry - 5/5
Ray’s writing is impressively controlled given how many moving parts this story has. The action scenes had my pulse racing, and the emotional beats, especially anything involving Jax and Madoc, were beautifully handled.
Her prose balances chaos and clarity in a way that keeps you locked in from start to finish.
Characters - 5/5
Madoc and Jax are everything. Their tension is explosive, magnetic, and impossible to look away from.
That one scene with Olivia and the two of them? I genuinely thought I might pass out.
“How did he taste?
- Devastating."
🫠
Madoc’s inner monologue is hilarious, sharp, and deeply relatable - especially if, like me, you dislike 99% of people.
Olivia is stubborn, fascinating, and absolute trouble in the best possible way. She’s central to far more than she realises, and watching that unfold was a delight.
And the banter across the entire cast? Impeccable.
Heart - 5/5
This series has all the makings of a future favourite for me: fun, intense, emotional, and full of surprises.
An easy 5/5 for Elliot Ray’s Mile High Heist.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️
Okay, Mile High Heist had me from the VERY FIRST PAGE.
Opening with a Meredith Grey plane-crash dedication? As someone who has watched Grey’s Anatomy religiously and considers it my favourite series, I knew immediately I was going to have a good time.
And I absolutely did.
I loved Heist in Paradise, but this was next level. The pacing was FAST, the stakes were high, and I genuinely felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Every time I thought surely we could calm down now… NOPE. Something else happened.
The thriller/heist plot was just as important to me as the romance. Being trapped on a plane 35,000 feet in the air gave the whole thing this claustrophobic, frantic energy that worked so well. There was nowhere to escape, and the chaos just kept escalating.
Then we have Olivia, Jax and Madoc.
I ADORE a why choose, and I am so invested in these three. The tension, the history, the protectiveness, the feelings nobody wants to properly talk about — GIVE ME MORE.
But also…
I NEED JADOC.
Jax and Madoc have me completely invested. The little glimpses we got of their relationship and Jax thinking “My girl. My Madoc—”??? EXCUSE ME. I need to see where this goes.
And the humour amongst all the absolute insanity was perfect. The fact that we can be fighting for our lives one minute and then Jax is running around with Cockzilla the next tells you everything you need to know about the kind of chaos you’re signing up for.
Dark romance, why choose, forced proximity, heist, thriller, suspense, ridiculous humour and a whole lot of sexual tension.
This was completely unhinged in the best possible way.
I loved Heist in Paradise.
I loved Mile High Heist even more.
Now please give me Book 3 because I NEED to know where Olivia, Jax and Madoc go from here — and I am officially campaigning for Jadoc. 😂

⭐️ 9.5/10
🌶️ 1.35/5
I was so excited to come back to these characters, and somehow they managed to become even more chaotic this time around.
Olivia’s inner monologue continues to be one of my favorite parts of these books. Half the time I was reading her thoughts thinking, “same, girl.” Jax had me having flashbacks to the island balcony, and Madoc had me desperately collecting every tiny piece of his backstory I could get. And the three of them together? Lethal.
The humor and ridiculousness I loved in the first book were absolutely still there. Somehow I went from “this is some serious physics porn,” to no toddler murder, seven rounds, a dildo becoming a potential murder weapon, and “some men wielded swords. I had cockzilla.”
So, naturally, I got emotionally attached.
But underneath all of the chaos, this book had so much vulnerability. I loved getting to see more of the characters beneath everything they use to protect themselves, especially Madoc. There were so many little moments where the humor dropped away and suddenly I was getting punched directly in the feelings.
The found-family aspect was also one of my favorite parts. These people may be completely unhinged, but their loyalty to one another is undeniable. They would quite literally burn shit down for the people they love, and apparently that is exactly the kind of friendship dynamic that gets me.
Also, Ryle being an absolute ray of sunshine is everything. Protect that man at all costs.
By chapter 25, I had so many quotes I physically could not fit them all into my notes, which probably says everything about how invested I was by that point.
And that ending…
As Madoc would say:
Devastating.
I need book three yesterday.
Review of advance copy received from Author
I received a copy of the book from the author ahead of publication. My review is voluntary and the views are my own.
Mile High Heist is the second book in the Crowmarked Series by Elliot Ray. It can be read as a standalone (I haven't read Book 1) however it would undoubtedly contain spoilers.
The book follows Olivia (the FMC), Jax, Madoc (the MMCs) and other members of Jax's crew on board a plane (a very swanky plane). Jax is initially unaware of Olivia's presence, but damn there's some serious smouldering going on when he sets eyes on her!!!
The crew are trying to steal a high value weapon for their crime boss, but some of the passengers on board are not what they seem (I still want to know who had the sex toys in their luggage) 😆
What ensues is a gang battle at altitude, with deadly killers, and Olivia at the centre of something big - a fact she is blissfully unaware of.
There's sizzling heat between Olivia and Jax, Olivia and Madoc, Jax and Madoc - and some pretty hot spicy scenes (but you'll have to read it to find out who)!!
I loved the humour in the book - Madoc in particular has some very funny internal dialogues (the seat back kicking one made me cackle). The pace of the book was pretty constant, it flowed well, all the characters were well developed (including the ones introduced in this book) and it was very hard to put down.
There was nothing about it I didn't enjoy - the ending left me speechless, but I was relieved when I discovered there will be a Book 3!
Overall Rating: 5/5 ⭐
Spice Rating: 3/5 🌶️ (open door, explicit with clear detail, features but doesn't dominate)

ARC REVIEW
Big thanks to Elliot Ray for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
Tropes:
💸High Stakes
💸Thriller
💸On a Plane
💸Slow Burn
💸MFM (Why Choose)
💸 Forced Proximity
💸Touch Her And Die
💸 Unhinged Found Family
💸💸
First I want to say the Author stated this could be read as a stand-alone and whilst you can, I’d definitely recommend reading from book one as there are events and important developments in book 2 confusing and seem untethered. That being said I did go and read the HEIST IN PARADISE first and I loved it.
Now back with Olivia and Jax but stuck on a 14 hour flight and fighting enemies new and old with high stakes, fast paced and explosive revelations flowing into a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting book 3 before its even written. I loved the plot, the pacing and the characters but I did stumble upon one issue.
When I signed up for this I was expecting a why choose. However if anything this is more of a MFM and being totally honest it’s barely even that. We are battling between some bi-awakening feelings, some light cum play action between one of the MMCs and FMCS but it’s the longest slow burn, I’m not even sure he even likes her. It’s undetermined but yet I’m here for it. So that speaks to the writing itself. So be aware if you’re expecting all the goodness that comes with a whychoose you won’t (currently) find it here.
“How did he taste?”
“Devastating.”
I loved how unhinged the MMCs are, neither is just morally gray, they’re aggressive, life threatening and Maddoc? Honestly he’s likely insane and certifiably psychotic.
If you like fast paced, high stakes , stuck fighting enemies on a plane? This is for you.

📚 ARC REVIEW 📚
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️
Mile High Heist was the perfect mix of romance, humor, banter, suspense, and delicious why-choose chaos—and I absolutely ate it up! ✈️🖤
The MFM dynamic was EVERYTHING. Jax and Madoc are unhinged, morally grey, and exactly the kind of MMCs I love reading about. Add in forced proximity, high stakes, plot twists, and enough sexual tension to fill an entire airplane, and I was hooked. And steamy romance within the first FIVE chapters?! Ummm… YESSS! 🌶️👏🏼
The pacing was fantastic and constantly had me saying, “just one more chapter.” Between terrible turbulence, enemies on a plane, danger around every corner, and some seriously hilarious moments, this book had me on an emotional roller coaster in the best possible way.
And THE 🍆 SCENE?! If you know, YOU KNOW. 🤣 I was literally laughing out loud!
But underneath all the humor and spice, the stakes are HIGH. The final stretch was packed with tension, twists, and enough chaos that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I was DYING to know what happened next…
Only to be hit with THAT CLIFFHANGER?!
EXCUSE ME, ELLIOT RAY?! 🤯
MA’AM!! You cannot just leave us there!! We need answers.

Basically, I NEED BOOK THREE IMMEDIATELY. 🖤🐦⬛✈️

EXCUSE ME, ELLIOT RAY?! 🤯

Thank you so much to Elliot Ray for trusting me with an ARC of Mile High Heist. 🖤 After enjoying Heist in Paradise, I was so excited to return to the Crowmarked Series, and book two definitely did not disappoint!

First of all Thank you to Elliot Ray for the opportunity to ARC read and the opportunity to give my honest review.
This was my first time reading anything by Elliot Ray and let me tell you, it won't be my last.
Mile High Heist is the second book in the Crowmarked Series by Elliot Ray. It can also be read as a standalone unfortunately I haven't read Book 1 but after reading book 2, it’s definitely a must read for me.
The chemistry and the scenes between Olivia, Jax and Madoc is hot. 🥵 There is Olivia and Jax, Olivia and Madoc, Jax and Madoc. There’s tension, heat, and plenty of spice between all three of them, and let’s just say… things get very interesting.
And Madoc? The hot-tempered, bad-boy badass had me completely hooked. He’s the character you probably shouldn’t love as much as you do… but you absolutely do.
The book kept me going and wanting more. The storyline and pace of the book was constant, easy to follow and the characters were well written.
And the ending?!
I was Speechless.
After I finished the book, I was sitting there thinking, WTF… you cannot end it like THAT! Thankfully, finding out there’s a Book 3 coming in 2027 made the cliffhanger a little easier to read.
If you’re looking for a book with high stakes, twists, betrayal, heat, and a whole lot of turbulence, this is definitely one to add to your TBR. ✈️🔥

I applied for this ARC the second I could because LOVED book 1 (Heist in Paradise)
I really enjoyed this book, fast paced and perfect poolside reading!
Mile High Heist picks up after Heist in Paradise with a little time jump, and there is SO much drama. It had me laughing, gasping, blushing, stressing and desperately turning pages.
Although this can be read as a standalone, I’d definitely recommend reading the series in order. I read Heist in Paradise first and loved it, and I think having that background made a big difference as there are events and developments in this one that could feel a little confusing without it.
Madoc and Jax were definitely highlights for me. They are exactly the kind of morally questionable, slightly unhinged men I love. Madoc’s internal dialogue had me HOWLING, especially during that fight scene. The whole seat-back situation was also spot on.
And Jax… DANGEROUS when it comes to Olivia. The way he would seemingly burn everything down for her definitely worked for me.
Olivia is sassy, independent, capable and badass without it ever feeling forced. She holds her own and I really enjoyed watching her navigate all the chaos.
The chemistry between these three is seriously good. The MFM dynamic works really well, and the tension between all three kept things HOT. The why choose is still simmering away, and I feel like we're getting closer to the payoff…but the EDGING...Elliot....PLEASE....
Also, reading a book about a heist on a plane the day before I flew home probably wasn't my best decision, but it was worth it...if only Jax and Madoc had been on my flight 😏
I NEED BOOK THREE. ASAP.

ARC review
✈️ If you want a cliffhanger that has the same energy as jumping out of a plane… this is the book for you. 😂✈️
JAX AND THE CREW ARE BACK. With new identities….
And, we’re starting this book with a FOUR MONTH time skip…between the crew and their princess.
The chemistry, the banter, the jealousy, the emotional tension… EVERYTHING. 👀🔥
And we get Madoc’s POV this time?! YESSS. I loved getting inside his head and learning more about him. He definitely has layers like on onion 🧅
Also… this book takes place on a PLANE. ✈️
Somehow the author managed to make a plane feel like the most chaotic place on Earth. Between the mystery, twists and betrayals, I was STRESSED like I was a passenger…
Everyone’s dialogue continues to be one of my favorite things. Even when everything is going completely off the rails, this they STILL manage to make me laugh. 😂
And the romance? 👀
The tension is TENSIONING.
The chemistry is CHEMISTRYING.
And the spice definitely understood the assignment. 🥵🔥
💡Hi, I’d like a Jax with a side of Madoc please….
I HAVE BEEN PERSONALLY ATTACKED by that ending. 😭
Absolutely RUDE.
This book had everything I loved about the first one but turned the chaos ALL the way up.
I laughed.
I panicked.
I swooned.
I yelled at my Kindle.
I Vented to my husband.
And now I am sitting here needing the next book immediately. 😂😭
The cliffhanger alone deserves its own five stars. ✈️💀

Huge thank you to Elliot Ray for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for Heist in Paradise earlier this year, so I flew to the opportunity to apply for the ARC of Mile High Heist.
When I tell you I had the BEST time reading this!
Mile High Heist is technically the second standalone in the interconnected Crowmarked series but I recommend reading Heist in Paradise first, because why wouldn't you??
Mile High Heist picks up four months after Heist in Paradise. This time Jax and his crew, with the reluctant assistance of former Cheerleader Olivia, must pull off stealing a half a billion dollar weapon from an ex CIA operative (also a psychopath).
The catch? It's during a 14hr flight on one of the world's largest commercial airplanes.
Oh but you think this is just a heist? Sprinkle in a bit of whodunnit, then add an unhinged slow burn and yearn into the mix.
The temperature outside the plane may be -40°C, but inside it is
HOT. HOT. HOT.
Is the prospect of a mid flight heist possible? I honestly don't know.
Do I care? Absolutely fucking not.
Suspend your disbelief like it's Snakes on a Plane, babes.
Mile High Heist has three different points of view. I'm honestly such a fan of Elliot Ray's writing style; she does a fantastic job of differentiating the voice in each character's POV.
She is also fantastic at keeping the tensions high (literary and literal edging) and I really love that she is one of those authors that won't give you all the answers until the very end (HOLY SHIT WTF is what left my mouth on the final page).
On the serious side, this series does have some very heavy content, so ensure you read all warnings before diving/flying in.
I cannot wait for the next installment of the Crowmarked Series!

Mile High Heist🛩️✨- Elliot Ray
This amazing story follows Heist in Paradise, which I also ARC read and wrote a review on if you scroll, so I was so excited to receive this one! 🤭🙂↕️🤗
Jax and his crew are on their next heist to steal a prototype worth half-a-billion dollars😱 but taking on a new challenge to do so… the air.🛫😨 Our FMC Olivia once again finds herself on the same mission as the Crows. Deciding to work together despite the thick tension,in multiple ways😳🫣, and distrust, they need to find a way to steal the prototype without blowing their cover.🥸 Although, very quickly they find that everything that could possibly go wrong is going wrong.🤯 As this crew fights to stay alive and complete their mission, they face battle after battle and are thrown with every obstacle possible. 😨
From passengers dying😵, to terrifying turbulence, and deadly enemies on the plane, how can they find a way to accomplish their mission without anymore casualties??😦🫨
I loved this book even better than the first one!🤩 I loved the heavy sensual tension that was thrown in when it could be, because it simply couldn’t be ignored!!👏👏 The tension is so thick between Olivia, Jax, and Madoc… AND I NEED MORE!!😩😩 Don’t even get me started on how we got left on the most futile cliffhanger AGAIN!😤 I don’t know how but the Queen has truly don’t it again!👏🖤

This book was even better than the first. I finished it in hours. You can’t stop reading - you have to see what absolute insanity the Crows are going to get themselves into - and hopefully, most likely - out of next!
Just 4 months after leaving the island from Heist in Paradise the crew is back together. And this time they are after a billion dollar program on the biggest plane ever. What could possibly go wrong? Besides everything….
The chemistry and tension between Olivia and Jax…. and Madoc…. 🥵 or even just any combination of 2 of them! Ryle is his usual ray of sunshine self - there for a good time and to get a job done. And he will go down swinging to get it done!
The amount of absolute unbridled chaos that is let loose in this book is fantastic. One minute you’re laughing, then you’re cringing at the damage caused, then you’re reading the scene where Olivia is bandaging Jax up 🤤and then it’s back to causing damage. You can not even attempt to guess what is coming next.
The ending…. oh that was not where I thought it was going to go at all. Not even close actually. I audibly gasped. And the cliffhanger?! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I am looking forward to the next book. Or how fast I will devour it when it gets here!
I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am writing this review voluntarily

I already knew I enjoyed this series after Heist in Paradise, but Mile High Heist completely pulled me back in.
I was so wrapped up in this book that I genuinely struggled to put it down. Every time I thought I would read just a little more, I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen next. The pacing kept me hooked and made this such an easy book to get lost in.
One of the things I loved most about Heist in Paradise was the dynamics between the characters, and that was again one of my favourite parts of this book. The connections between them felt so natural, and I loved seeing the relationships continue to develop. There is something about this group of characters that makes me want to keep following them, not just because of whatever trouble they find themselves in, but because I genuinely enjoy them together.
I think that's quickly becoming what I love most about this series. The heists, danger and tension make the books exciting, but it's the characters and their relationships that keep me invested.
Mile High Heist was another fast, addictive read that reminded me exactly why I enjoyed the first book so much. At this point, I'm invested in these characters and very happy to follow them into whatever chaos comes next.
I definitely want more of this series.

5⭐ 3.5🌶️
This is the second book in the Crowmarked series and I do not recommend reading until you have read Heist in Paradise.
WOW! This book is a wild freaking ride! It's incredibly well written, the pace is FAST and the characters do not disappoint.
"We were the Crows. No job was impossible."
Or so Jax thinks. Faced with an ultimatum and with their lives literally on the line, Jax just wants to be free, his own man, not owned by a boss. And he can be ... but first he has to get the "device." That device is on an airplane and now he and his crew are on the same airplane, ready to finish their last job.
Every single time you think the Crows (Jax, Olivia, Madoc, Ryle and Nate) are safe, something even more unlikely happens to them! New players enter the game and their upper hand slowly disappears, which started to slowly stress me the fuck out! As the players get more desperate the more risks they take and the more I was sweating for them.
What I loved
💠How many moving parts there were to this book, none of them getting lost and all of them shocking and exciting. I can not get over how back to back the events are, there is no catching your breath.
💠Character DEPTH! I mean, I feel like I know them, making the whole thing that much more enjoyable.
💠The deep smoldering looks Jax and Madoc give each other 😏
💠This quote: "Some men wielded swords. I had Cockzilla." -Jax
The only thing I did not like is that it ends on a cliffhanger!
I loved Heist In Paradise, this book is even better, if I could give it 6 stars I would!

truly, all i could think during this one was "i have had it with these motherfcking snakes on this motherfcking plane!!" and i think the Crows were right along with me 😂
МНН picks up where we left off in book one, but the stakes are higher, the action is nonstop, and at thirty five thousand feet in the air... there's nowhere left to run. you don't get oneee second to breathe during this one - it is literally one thing after the next, with everything amped up x100. it's fast paced, full of twists and turns, and guaranteed to have you alll over the place!!
Madoc & Jax seriously had me losing my MINDDD - their tension is so palpable, i was practically screaming at the pages the entire time... the way these two have me obsessed is a freaking understatement. i am absolutely feral over them. but the SPICEEE?!?! i was GAGGED.
i want more of these three in every way, but more so Liv than anyone!! i feel like we're only getting started with her and i'm excited to see where her character goes from here. and Ryle... i would give up a lung to get more of this man, in any way!! his comedic timing is truly the cherry on top and is unpredictable in every way, i can't get enoughhh of him!!
i cannot wait for book three but i am absolutely gutted at the ending... i have QUESTIONSSSS, and SOO MANY!! if you need me, i will be in my corner rocking back and forth like a lunatic until then.

That cliffhanger ending… agh, I need book three right now!!! I absolutely loved this book and even though I loved book one I think this one was even better. It was packed with action and drama from start to finish, so much so that it felt more like watching a movie than reading a book.
I still have so many unanswered questions, but I am not hating that feeling. I just want more to happen between Olivia, Jax, and Madoc, and for the author to stop edging us so much. The yearning and build-up between them will explode in the next book – surely!!! And when are Jax and Madoc finally going to give in and give us what we all want?
This book has everything I love but the one thing I wanted more of was the characters’ pasts. We only get small hint, and I would have liked a clearer sense of what is driving them.
I love that Ryle and Nate still appear in this book, but I wish we had seen more of Zola and Callum because I love their relationships with one another. Since book three will no longer be set on the plane (well I hope lol) my fingers are crossed that we get to see more of the whole crew together as a family. I am also hoping we might get a book about Ryle at some point.

What happens when you mix romance with a billion dollar heist? You get a binge worthy book! There's so many twists, turns, action, chemistry and a potential love triangle.
I was hooked from the start and breezed through this book in 2 days! It was so entertaining! I became emotionally invested in the characters & their relationships and hoping they succeeded.
Jax, Madoc and Liv are back with a new job and so much riding on the line! I mean what can go wrong on a 14 hour plane ride, right? There is non-stop action, tension and even some dubious dildo use that had me laughing hysterically. This is the chaos I live for. You have to read this book, you won't be able to put it down!

Thank you so much to the author for an ARC.
Wow that was a lot of action and the drama kept me reading. I liked how it seemed like we were watching a high stakes drama movie.
If this was based on the action along I would've rated it higher. It did say this could be read as a stand alone but I don't think thats true. I didn't realize the first book was based on the same characters and the continuation of the story. As far as romance goes there was basically none. I also wouldn't rate this a why choose, more of a love triangle but one point may have some lust towards the FMC? It just seemed like pure lust for all the characters. I don't understand why the ending had to happen if everything was squared away. There were just a few other things that didn't make sense or annoyed me. If you want something action packed with less drama and a little sprinkle of spice this is for you.
A little spoiler below
I'm confused on how Olivia said she would always call her sister's phone and get voicemail for two years because she never picked up. Yet she talked to her on the phone in the beginning of the book? Maybe I'm missing something. Just a little plot hole.

Just like DJ Khalid use to say...
ANOTHER ONE
The second book in the Crowmarked series by @elliotrayofficial
Mile High Heist
Now this bad boy was action packed!
Olivia is teamed up with the crows she met on the island to complete a heist of a life time for Preacher.
They need to retrieve the SKS, a dangerous device that could level cities. With no idea of what the carrier or the device looks like but they only have fourteen hours on the biggest plane ever to do it. But they have a plan. Olivia is to identify, the target and retrieve the device without being noticed with the crows as backup.
But they're not the only team on the plane trying to get it. The crows old employer, and the man who put a hit out on them all also has a team on that plane but the want something else too.
Literally everything turns to shit, people start dying and chaos erupts on the plan. But you'd think being on an important mission, there was no time for distractions. Elliot Ray said absolutely, there is time for fun and Olivia also joins the mile high club 🔥
Im honestly still am recovering from a particular fight scene with a Jax beating a man with a monster 🍆 IYKYK

Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
I absolutely LOVED Heist in Paradise so I was really excited to get the opportunity to read Mile High Heist which is book two in the Crowmarked Series by Elliot Ray.
It lived up to the brilliance of book 1 and then some. It can definitely be read as a standalone but you’ll definitely enjoy it more if you read them in order.
This story follows the FMC Olivia and the two MMC’S Jax &Madoc the as well as a few other members of Jax's crew on board a very posh plane. For a while Jax is completely unaware that Olivia is onboard…ooohhh but when he spies her the tensions builds instantly and it’s delicious.
The boys are tasked with stealing a super high value weapon for their crime boss, but not everyone on board is as they seem….those with spicy toys in your cases….make yourself known NOW 😂
Poor Olivia has found herself mixed up in sheer chaos at some serious altitude with absolutely nowhere to go.
There’s humour, tension, some spicy spice, a brilliant plot and an ending that I currently have no words for. All that I have left to say is I can’t wait for book 3!!

ARC from the author!

The first book was a great read but this was just i don’t even have word for it. Half the time reading this i was gasping and the other half i was giggling!! I just absolute love the way Elliot Ray writes, the story and the character are just perfect.
The best part is that is a dark romance with both comedy and thriller in the best way possible.
The character???!!! I mean come on, i’m obsessed with Madoc. He is just the perfect secret book boyfriend their is!! And the chemistry between Jax, Olivia and Madoc is on fire, i’m like literally burning up while reading. Olivia is just so bad ass. The perfect FMC, that checks all the boxes for powerful, independent and cool as fuck!! And Jax, i think he would in secret burn the world down for her. The man that does anything for the girl. That’s the man Jax is.
I’m definitely buying the book and if their will be any audiobooks those i will devour as well!! That’s alls! And i can’t wait until the next book. How am o gonna think absolut anything else now?
A five star read for me!!
