wait.....what the......omg.....did that really just happen? I was so not expecting that cliff hanger of an ending. had to buy book two now as you can't leave a story hanging like that!!!!

The storyline is ok a little disjointed bit ok. But the writing is pretty sophomoric. It needs more flow and less obviousness.

I have to be honest, I was not a fan of this first book. However, since it left you on such a cliffhanger I had to read the second one. The second is way better than the first and the last two in the series are absolutely amazing.

Oh god, another heroine too stupid to die. She's had two boyfriends and is still a virgin at 22 but it's ok to stand naked in front of an unknown man because, well, he's hot! There's a stretch of truth for starters. I understand you can be fixated on someone, her life is changing faster than she can keep up with and she's not in control if any aspect of it, over bearing father, finding her way in the workforce. But Christ, this woman has a law degree, surely she can do some thinking of her own? There is such a vast difference in knowledge and work skills between her and Sean. Don't get me started on the whole ownership business, and self respecting woman would've told him to shove it....this is the 21st century and women are no longer chattel. Did the suffragettes make a big mistake? Maybe it's because I am so strong willed that I have a hard time accepting that any woman would want to be treated, and thought of anything less than equal. And what's with the anal stimulation? Please don't tell me that's a normal part of sex nowadays. Jeez, she's never done anything and that's the first thing he hits her with? Doesn't matter how hot Sean is, I'd be running a mile.

I enjoyed reading this book. Kate is so innocent and sweet. Sean is her body guard and mentor. And he's a bad ass alpha male with so many secrets. Kate has instant attraction to him but she refuses to let him have any affect on her. Both characters annoyed me at times, there is so much attraction and Kate come off as needy at times and Sean is just a place jerk for most of the book. But in saying that, that's who the characters are. This book wouldn't have worked any other way. I want to see what happens but at the same time I don't. Sean is so cold even at the end when he's warmed up a little. He's so closed you have no idea who he's being truthful with and who he's lying to. And unfortunately it's predictable that Kate's innocence in going to come back and bite her on the ass, especially when it comes to him.

Cliffhanger alert!

I don't normally read these types of book but this one has good reviews and I couldn't pass up the forbidden bodyguard story line.
It was a little crazy at the start of the book. Kate and Sean were kind of thrown together and not gradually introduced. Of course she is forbidden but of course they want each other. There is no sex (penetration) in this book. There is however pages of oral sex given by Sean.
The cliffhanger is huge in this book and I will be forced to buy this series. I hate that the series is not complete. I hope the author doesn't wait too long before finishing. With only three books out and at least one more to come I will hate to wait!

A superbly addictive read. Several storyline intricately weaved together with class & talent. I love Kate's characteristics, her stubbornness, resilience and willingness to love despite the lack of her father's time to love her. Her growth through the story is encouraging along with the matching stubborn bodyguard Sean. Is he a good guy or bad guy - ssshhhhhh - just so you know - am rooting for him to be a good guy.

Kate wakes up in a mucky motel naked and can't remember what happened. Then comes a hot guy out of the bathroom. She threatens him but soon finds out he is her bodyguard. She is totally confused. So Sean is her bodyguard and mentor for her dads company. They have a lot of sexual tension. Kate still doesn't understand everything but little by little she gets to know Sean. They start hooking up. She is still confused why she needs a bodyguard. But in the end she ends up getting kidnapped.

Loving this storyline

SK Lee is a new author to me. But she's definitely won me over for this book series. I love everything about Kate and Sean. There's suspense with wicked attractions and when you mix everything else in you've got a great book. Very well written with believable and lovable characters. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
