A spicy, grumpy sunshine romance between a workaholic and a bubbly optimist determined to make him smile.

What you’ll find:

Grumpy sunshine
Small town
She has lucky girl syndrome
Strangers to (forcibly) friends to lovers
Summer romance
Only one bed
Workplace romance (she’s his assistant)
June Taylor has always believed that the universe pushes her in the right direction, even if, at the time, it felt like the end of the world. The universe works in strange ways, and those strange ways always work in her favor.

But when she gets laid off from the job she always thought was her calling, she leans further into all things luck and fate and vows to take every opportunity that the universe offers her. She’s entering her Lucky Girl Summer, finding four-leaf clovers and wishing at 11:11, and knowing it will all work out in the end. When she stumbles into a new job, she thinks it might be working… until she realizes her grumpy new boss is also the man she had a one-night stand with.

Graham Hawthorne is not a man known for getting distracted: has always been laser-focused on his career and nothing else. When work brings him to the small shore town of Seaside Point, where he’s been tasked with opening a beach resort, he assumes it will be the same as always: get in, make the business profitable, then move on to the next location.

It’s just his luck that he would find himself increasingly obsessed with his new bubbly assistant… and even more obsessed with making all of her whimsical dreams come to life.

But lately, his successes have felt hollow, no longer bringing that satisfaction of a job well done. He hopes that his newest challenge, heading the newest expansion of Daydream Resorts in the form of small-scale luxury clubs, will be the thing to snap him out of it

Morgan is a born and raised Jersey girl, living there with her two boys, toddler daughter, and mechanic husband. She’s addicted to iced espresso, barbecue chips, and Starburst jellybeans. She usually has headphones on, listening to some spicy audiobook or Taylor Swift. There is rarely an in between.

Writing has been her calling for as long as she can remember. There’s a framed ‘page one’ of a book she wrote at seven hanging in her childhood home to prove the point. Her entire life she’s crafted stories in her mind, begging to be released but it wasn’t until recently she finally gave them the reigns.

I’m so grateful you’ve agreed to take this journey with me.

“I’m so lucky and everything works out for me.” -June (and now also me)

Taking a page out of June’s book because everything about her mentality and approach to life is incredible. She is sunny and optimistic, colorful and full of such joie de vivre.

And let’s be honest, her entire meet cute with Graham just proves how lucky she truly is because …THAT MAN. Oh my.

Let us all find someone who will search for a four leaf clover and then replant it so we can find it. And truly, that’s the tip of the iceberg with him. He is grumpy and reserved and lives a life that is lacking color and joy until he meets June and together, they are perfect. She makes him want to make all of her dreams come true. The dedication and devotion?! *swoon*

I had the absolute best time reading this book and if you’ve read some of Morgan Elizabeth’s other books, you may see some fun nods. And if you’ve read Maneater, (you’re missing out if you haven’t) there’s a really fun tie-in to the Mavens.

Thank you so much to House of Hearts Lit for the early copy! This is a perfect summer read!

Lucky Girl Summer by Morgan Elizabeth is like summer, sun, magic, and all of the hope and luck in the world brought together in one incredible package. And that package just happens to be the most consuming love story that will have you melting into a puddle from the very first moments you meet this couple. This book is absolutely everything and I’m sitting here writing this book review with the biggest smile on my face. Just absolutely in love with everything. I just read and experienced with June and Graham in their story. Those two definitely keep each other on their toes, they definitely have a connection that doesn’t quit, but most of all they have a level of luck and love that is truly beautiful.

I just love this book. I loved every single second of it. I loved the magic and sparkle of it all in this book with June‘s character. I loved how grumpy and stubborn Graham was. I loved what these characters made each other feel and what they brought to each other‘s lives. I loved that just when I thought I couldn’t fall harder for these two or swoon even more, I did just that because of what Morgan Elizabeth gave me with her characters. But more than that I just loved the connection and fire and undeniable level of pool between this couple. They are definitely meant to be, and you feel that in your bones from their very first meeting. And the more you get with them, the more you need and realize that there is no ending that doesn’t exist without the two of them together.

Morgan Elizabeth is one of my favorite authors for a reason. Her books truly are my happy place and I just love getting to fall in love with all of her couples. I also seriously love that every book of hers is that in a world of characters that you never truly say goodbye for. I love that when I read a book of hers. I get to see future characters that I know I will get stories for, well also getting some of my favorite couples that I’ve already gotten to love. It’s just the best amount of everything and getting to spend time with her fictional characters in the incredible small towns that she creates with all of the connection and friendship and heart that they all share is truly the best. Every book of hers feels like I’m going back to my favorite summer camp with my best friends in the world and that we’re just getting to spend the best amount of time together, living and loving and just experiencing everything together. It feels like the best kind of time reading a book by this author, and I have felt that in every single one of her books. There is equal parts, magic, and love and sparkle and heart and fire, and just connection bursting from every single moment that she gives you with all of her characters and couples, and this book with June and Graham was no different.

Lucky Girl Summer is definitely one of my favorites by this author. There’s just something so magical and so right about June and Graham. The fact that they’re so seemingly opposite with her being all sunshine and hope and color, and him being all black and white and serious and grumpy. They are definitely opposite, but they also make each other feel everything. And getting to be in the thick of that connection and that desire and that pull that they have to one another, getting to see them do everything in their power to build something real with each other, and getting to see just how much they impact one another is truly everything. When you couple that with how this couple shows up for each other, how they show up for themselves, how they push each other to fight for what they both want while falling so hard for one another is the absolute best. And it just pulls your heart fiercely to everything they share.

June‘s character stole my heart from the start. As a teacher myself who knows what it’s like to burn out, I immediately connected to her. I also just loved the way that she viewed the world around her, the universe, and how she manifested the good and lucky things coming to her life. I loved that she truly believed that and it wasn’t just a thing for her, it was who she was. She was someone who believed in the goodness of the world and what the world could bring her and others. I loved getting to experience that with her, and I especially loved getting to watch her bring that vibrancy and life and color and personality to this book, but especially to Graham. Because boy did he need it. But more than that I really loved getting to see how June really learns to accept the dreams that I’ve always been within her and how she believes not only in what those dreams could bring her, but what she can choose and create for herself in her life. She is a true gem of a character, and I just loved her with my whole heart through every part of this book.

Now Graham‘s character also stole my heart in the best way in Lucky Girl Summer. That man puts the grump and grumpy, and I was here for it. I loved that he had such a hard exterior, that he is definitely a grumpy man, but that he also has such a strong level determination. That man can be stubborn when he wants to, and I loved that he wasn’t afraid to push June to achieve her own dreams while he himself was pushed out of his comfort zone. But I have to say what I think I loved the most about his character is just how much that man was so down bad for June. I mean he was smitten. He was in it with her even when you didn’t first realize it as a reader and I LOVED it. I loved that there was some pretty big yearning and feelings happening beneath that grumpy surface from him, and I loved getting to see the depth of those feelings and what that man was willing to do for the woman he really cared about. I also loved that her being in his life pushed him in ways that he really needed to. That man definitely loves that girl with his whole heart, and you feel that in your soul in this book with these two.

There are so many moments in this book that will just make you melt. So just prepare yourself now. I literally was taking notes on it as I read because I just wanted to remember those moments because they were so swoony and sweet and thoughtful. I mean the lengths that Graham goes to for June is pretty much everything and I’m still swooning hard from that. And coupling that with the way that she pushes him to be friends and to feel all of the things outside his comfort zone is also absolutely everything. Those two are actual magic together and getting to see them fall for each other, getting to see them feel everything for one another, and just washing the two of them show up for one another in every way that matters is truly perfection.

It’s true just see each other and get each other in ways that no one else ever has before. And that’s not to say they don’t have the most incredible friend group ever, because they do. Her group of friends and really her family that they have all created in this small town, welcomes Graham with open arms, and it gives both of these characters the love and the pushes that they both need. But even though these two grow this incredible support system through his work and her friends, and this found family of characters, they also see something so true and real in one another. They truly see every honest feeling and moment with one another. They get each other, they see each other, they show up for one another in ways that matter, and they push each other in the ways that the other needs. It is honestly breathtaking getting to feel and experience the depth of that connection in this book and it will have you not only loving every single thing you get with them, but it will just have you knowing that they have to be together.

They just have to be.

Morgan Elizabeth makes this another absolutely consuming and effervescent read from start to finish. Her books truly give me the best love stories and the best characters and the best moments that I can’t stop thinking about. And I don’t want to. That’s what I love about her books. She not only invest me completely with a group of characters and a small town and just everything that she infuses into her stories and words, but she just makes her books and her series places that I never want to leave. She just shows that what she gives you is something to treasure and bask in, and every new book of hers is another moment you get all of that incredibleness again. And that…well that’s just the best.

Lucky Girl Summer is the book of the summer and it’s just another must read from this author. It combines a story of romance, friendship, beach, towns, and summer vibes, and the best way. It brings all of the hope and magic and sparkle that I have come to love and expect from a book by this author, but it just amplify that with everything that June and Graham share together. Those two definitely have an undeniable level of connection and getting to watch them given to it, getting to watch the way in which they show up for each other and feel everything for one another, and just getting to be there as they relish and everything they share together is absolutely amazing. It makes for a hell of a love story, and it will definitely have you knowing that these two were written in the stars and meant to be in every way.

Getting to feel that and experience that with them and knowing that there is no universe in which they aren’t together and aren’t meant to be is absolutely everything. What June and Graham share is actual magic in this book. And you will love getting to be in the thick of it. You will love the connection and fire they bring out in one another. You will love the way they show up for one another and show each other that they see each other and who they truly are and hope to be. You will love the heart of it all and how this couple turns luck into love in every way that matters. You will just love the way that these two can simultaneously push each other’s buttons and push each other to that edge, while also loving everything that makes them them and basking in the sunlight and magic and fireworks that they bring to each other’s lives.

Honestly, I could just keep going about how much I loved this book and everything that June and Graham shared together. Those two could not have been more perfect for one another. And getting to be in the thick of everything they share is something that I won’t forget, and honestly, I don’t want to because I just loved those two with my whole heart. I loved how they were themselves through it all. I loved how right they felt from the very first moment they met. I loved how much they connected to one another, how much they just saw each other and felt together. I loved the way they fell for each other in the small moments and in the big moments. I loved the way these characters just saw each other and understood each other and celebrated each other and who they were every chance I got. But most of all I just loved them and who they were and what they made each other feel.

It was magical and effervescent and so beautifully built full of love and connection and a healthy dose of luck and magic, and I was here for every fucking amazing word of it.

When you couple that with the incredible small town you get in this book, Morgan Elizabeth’s phenomenal writing that put you in the heart of it all, and the consuming pieces that come together in this story you have it all in this book. You have the love, you have the connection, and you have a story that just doesn’t quit. You have the moments that definitely light you on fire and give you the fireworks, while also giving you the moments that have you melting into a puddle over the swoon and heart that these characters share. And honestly? That’s just scratching the surface of what makes Lucky Girl Summer one of my favorite books. I’ve read this year and a book that you need in your life this second.

Trust me when I say that June and Graham are ready to steal your whole heart, and you will gladly give it over peace by peace in this book because that is how magical and incredible and unforgettable those two are. You will love every little moment with them, every sign of luck, and every second second these two share together as they fall so hard for one another. This book and everything you get with them is the epitome of an incredible romance novel that will have you believing and feeling and just living for everything this couple shares and it’s the best. Honestly, it’s more than that, so much more. Because what this author pours into this book into this couple into the vibes and just the feels of this book is absolutely everything and unforgettable, and every other positive adjective that you can think of, and that still doesn’t really capture what you get with this couple and these characters. So honestly just prepare yourself now to love this book, this couple, this town, and all of these characters with your whole heart because there’s no resisting any of that or them.

I promise you that.

Morgan Elizabeth has once again outdone herself in Lucky Girl Summer and honestly, I just love it. I loved falling in love with June and Graham and everything they shared and made each other feel in this book. I loved the magic of it all, the luck of it all, and the love these two build peace by peace, moment by moment. What they share together is beautiful, full of such effervescence and heart, and it’s just so inherently them in the best way. I honestly could have lived in this book if you let me and the vibes that it gave me with this couple and I really can’t say that enough. I was here for everything this book and this author give you and I just loved it. I loved every single second and word of this book with this couple and you will too.

There’s no resisting the magic and the pull and the hope and the love and the luck and the spark of it all with June and Graham…and honestly, you’re just going to want to jump heart first into it all with them. Trust me. What you get with these two in their book will have you loving them in every way, believing in everything they share, and honestly just wanting more and more of it all because what you get within this book with this couple is phenomenal. Morgan Elizabeth truly delivers a must read romance in this book that will have you loving every second you get with this couple, well also desperately hoping you could get more of it all because that’s just how damn good it all is.

This book is a must read for anyone who loves a good love story, who wants a little bit of sparkle and magic in their lives, and who wants to feel the beauty and the love and the heart of a love story between two characters whose love story feels written in the stars and beyond meant to be. But more than that, this book is just a must read because it is the epitome of an amazing love story from start to finish with incredible characters, phenomenal writing, and a consuming world of characters that will steal your whole heart while simultaneously making you fall in love with each and every one of them. June and Graham truly give you everything in their love story and you’ll love it. You’ll love it and them and everything you get to experience with them along the way.

And honestly… That’s just a fraction of what makes this such an amazing book to read and experience.

“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know what to wish for.” She lets out a small, disbelieving laugh. “I have everything I ever wanted. I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

✔️summer romance
✔️strangers to (forcibly) friends to lovers
✔️grumpy x sunshine
✔️workplace (she’s his assistant)
✔️small coastal town
✔️she has lucky girl syndrome
✔️no 3rd act breakup

This book is just so cute, and I loved watching June (FMC) and Graham (MMC) get their happily ever after! It is refreshing to read a story where the main characters truly just want the best for each other as humans, and they don’t try to change each other even though they are opposites in so many ways. They meet the other where they are and support them, for no reason other than wanting to see the other be happy. This is one of those romance novel couples that I can see actually still being together decades down the road, they won’t let anything get in the way of the happiness they have carved out for themselves.

June is at a crossroads in life. She has two options, accept that she was laid off from her teaching job and take a year off until another teacher retires, or take a position in another school an hour away. She loves her small coastal town, and after a man gives her a penny to scratch off a lottery ticket and she wins, she takes it as a sign to start her “Lucky Girl Summer”, leave her job, and see what the universe has in store for her. Little does she know, that man will become someone very important to her—he is her one night stand turned grumpy boss. After finding out he has work contacts, not friends, she is determined to become his first (and best) friend, and he is determined to make all of her dreams come true one wish at a time.

I love Graham. He is so down bad from the start, and though this is dual POV, I actually really like what the author did here and that we only get his POV sparingly, not every other chapter. It’s enough so we can be inside his head for a little bit and see his motivations and the pure love and devotion he has for June, but not so much that it detracts from her belief in all things superstition and luck. He isn’t optimistic in the way she is, but he just wants to give her the world and at the same time the space to shine on her own and find her true passion in life. If you liked the seashell situation in Tourist Trap (no spoilers here, go read that book too it’s excellent) you will love this book. I read this one in basically one sitting, and it’s going on the favorites shelf next to Tourist Trap. I am looking forward to seeing these characters again in future stories and for where this series goes next!

Lucky Girl Summer was an amazing read! Morgan Elizabeth never disappoints and Lucky Girl Summer was no exception! I feel in love with both June and Graham immediately… individually they’re just such amazing characters that you can’t help but love and root for, together though, together their romance and chemistry just leaps off the page in a romance that is so swoon-worthy, and spicy that you just can’t help but fall in love right along side them. If you’re looking for a read that is full of grumpy/sunshine romance, so many sweet moments, plus the perfect amount of spice, hilarious banter, strong friendships, found family, an amazing little small town, plenty of luck, and a happily ever after then I highly recommend grabbing a copy of Lucky Girl Summer today!

June and her brother didn’t have the most stable of upbringing and because of that they’ve both chosen steady career paths, career paths they enjoy, but career paths that don’t chase their dreams… at least Junes doesn’t. But when she hits a bump in the road when it comes to her stable job she’s offered a chance to be spontaneous A bump that leads her to her lucky girl summer, and a bump that may have fate making all of her dreams come true. You truly can’t help but love all these beachside residents. But especially June and Graham. June is a fun loving, whimsical girl, who believes her luck will always prevail and life works out the way it’s meant to. That doesn’t mean she refuses to work hard for all she’s earned in her life in fact I found June very relatable, as she works so hard to make sure things get done properly and on time, and to the best of her ability but she also allows her self the time to have fun, spend time with her friends and family, and just all around enjoy her little seaside town. And if June is the free spirit, well then Graham is her complete opposite. Graham has been chasing promotions and a very strict and regimented lifestyle, no friend, no free time, just work. Until June crashes into his life and her whimsy infects him in the best way. Suddenly he finds himself doing things he’d never do, just to see the girl he really shouldn’t want, smile and believe in her luck. And together their romance was just so so sweet! The dates were adorable, June getting Graham out of his shell but still being respectful of his introverted nature, the multiple attempts made by Graham to keep Junes belief in luck alive, all just made for the most perfect swoon-worthy romance that I just couldn’t put down and I honestly can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next!

Morgan Elizabeth truly never misses for me. Every single new release somehow makes me fall even more in love with her writing, her characters, and the worlds she creates, and this book was no exception. This book was SUCH a good time, but it also had so much sweetness underneath all the fun and chemistry. It is truly just a feel good kind of book.

I absolutely LOVED June! Like genuinely adored her. I connected with her so much because I also believe in manifestation, luck, and putting good energy out into the universe the way she does. Her whole outlook on life felt so comforting and inspiring to me. She honestly reminded me of a female Ted Lasso with how positive, hopeful, and trusting she was that everything would work out in the end. I admired her so much. And I loved that while she was sunshine personified, she still had her own growth throughout the story too.

Her dynamic with Graham was EVERYTHING. The grumpy/sunshine chemistry was top tier, but what I loved most was how much they balanced each other out and helped each other grow. Graham slowly learning to loosen up, have fun, and let himself actually enjoy life instead of hiding behind work and grumpiness was so satisfying to watch. And June learning to truly take herself and her passions seriously and go after what she wanted made me emotional. They made each other better without trying to change who the other person was, and I loved that so much.

And the SPICE??? SO HOT. But that is Morgan Elizabeth and her niche. Every single scene was perfect, as always. The chemistry between them was insane from beginning to end. But honestly, one of my favorite parts of the entire book was the role Graham played in June’s luck. That man was DOWN BAD. The lengths he went to for her and the things he did just to make her happy and keep her believing in magic and luck were honestly one of the most romantic things ever.

I also loved seeing characters from other books and series pop up throughout the story. It made everything feel so connected in the best way and helped make a great story. This was so fun and sweet and I loved every second of it!

Thank you to Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts Literary for the eARC of this book.

Morgan Elizabeth's "Lucky Girl Summer" is THE PERFECT small-town, grumpy x sunshine, workplace romance! I absolutely ate this book up! From the very first chapter, I was hooked on June and Graham. Graham is such a devilish grump, nearly devoid of joy and color and life, but he is so secretly smitten with the lovely, lucky, sunshiney June. Gah, I love all of the things he did for her, all of the time he spent pining and working for her love and affection, to help her through her days, to give her everything she ever wanted (the part with THE SONG made me SCREAM, lol). June is a wonderful FMC. She believes in the power of manifestation and luck, but is stuck in a job she isn't crazy about anymore, and it's killing her. Ever the optimist, she makes everyone else happy to her own detriment. I totally understood this about her because it's what I do in my own life. I could not stop reading this and finished it in one sitting! I *had* to know what was going to happen next! I just adored this one so much. I haven't read a couple with such a strong connection in a while. From their very first interaction in the convenience store, I knew I was going to love this pairing. The reason their vibe and the spice work so well in this book is that the chemistry, the yearning, the friendship between them is built up in such a way that readers are fully invested in their pairing from the get-go. I *LOVED* their chemistry, their banter, the back and forth "will they, won't they" be friends, the workplace conversations, the slow build-up... it all comes to a head at one point, and it's PERFECT! Morgan Elizabeth makes us wait for it, but not too long! The slow-ish tearing down of Graham's walls is sooo delicious. And at one point, there's ONLY ONE BED!! I also loved the interactions with June and her girlfriends, Claire, Lainey, Sutton, etc. What a great group to have her back! Ahhhh, I loved this! I feel like I am gushing, but I don't care. What a wonderful book. Please give this book a chance. It's the perfect summertime read.

I was in the worst book slump ever and Lucky Girl Summer just took me right out of it! This is exactly what I needed right now. The way that Graham Hawthorne yearned for June Taylor was perfection. This man is the most perfect MMC. He had me on my knees for him. He and June were phenomenal and I didn't want their story to end.

I love June Taylor, she is a woman after my own heart! From searching for a four leaf clover, to believing in luck, to making her 11:11 wishes (!!!) to eating that powerpuff Bubbles ice pop!! She just made me feel alive. June was so happy. Even when things weren't great, she believed in luck, she believed in manifestation, I truly admired her. I saw pieces of myself in her and I think that made me fall in love with her.

Now her mans, Graham Hawthorne?? That specimen is the definition of perfection. Graham is a grumpy grump but he's really not. I loved the way he tried to deny his feelings for June. It was so cute. Like no sir. You like her~~~! And God the forearm and thigh p*rn were👌. He's hot. That's it. The man certainly had a way with words and had me screaming at everyone in my house, "why can't all men be like this?!".

The spice was certainly spicy and very enjoyable! I loved how the problem was solved and how Graham supported June. He is so sweet, I wanted to cry. And after the hints of other potential couples I am so excited.

June and Graham have really stolen a piece of my heart. Lucky Girl Summer is one of the best books I've read this year and I feel so honored that I was able to read an ARC. I can't wait to be back at Seaside Point and if you're looking for a summer read, read this book asap! It's the best and you'll thank me when you also fall for Graham and June!

And don't forget! Make a wish!! ✨

Thank you to Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts for the ARC.

Morgan Elizabeth is knocking it out of the park AGAIN with a sweet, vivacious, happy-go-lucky girlie and a quiet man who’s been a goner since day one 🔥🫠

Literally everyone needs a June in their life…
She has such an infectious sunshine energy that she shares with her friends and beloved community at Seaside Point.

She’s in her ‘Lucky Girl Summer’ era - despite life’s curveballs, everything just keeps falling into place…
🍀 Convenience Store Meet-Cute/ONS
🍀 Quits job/finds a new job the next day
🍀 Finds her lost earring AND a four leaf clover
🍀 Wins festival tickets
🍀 Sells an art piece the first night her store is live
🍀 There’s ALWAYS a chocolate sprinkle donut left in the box…
Surely fate can’t be THIS good to her…?

Graham is a secret softy! Behind his quiet exterior, he’s a goner for June from their very first encounter in the convenience store and does everything in his power to make her happy - and LUCKY 👀
He also pushes June to realise her full potential, how talented she is and that she deserves the credit for her hard work and achievements.

I loved that his chapters weren’t immediate and increased gradually - we only begin to gain more insight as he unravels ❤️‍🔥

Loved being back in the Morgan-verse, she never lets you down ✨

A huge thank you to @authormorganelizabeth and @houseofheartslit for the opportunity to read this ARC.

✨ARC Review✨
Lucky Girl Summer
By: Morgan Elizabeth

“I’m gonna win you over.”
“You’re what?” he asks, lifting one thick eyebrow.
“We’re going to be friends, Graham. By the end of the summer, I’m going to be your first real friend.”
“Good luck with that,” he says with a snort. I tip my head, giving him a genuine, wide smile. “Haven’t you heard? I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”

I don’t want to be friends with June Taylor, because friends would never be enough. Hiring her was the unluckiest thing that has ever happened to me. Still, I can’t find it in me to regret it.

I freaking loved coming back to Seaside Point with Graham and June! Their story is so sweet with a dash a spicy! We meet June when she’s at a crossroads, does she take a break from her current job to see what else is out there or does she stay at a job she no longer enjoys. After a fluke encounter, June meets Graham again and things turn fun. But after that fun it’s back to reality, where June meets her new boss, can you guess who it is? June has a lucky girl summer and takes chances and what a fun ride it is! I loved seeing our favorite characters from previous books, and our girl gang! Perfect summer read!

Thank you so much for the chance to arc read Morgan and Team Morgan Elizabeth!

This is an arc review ✨ I got a copy of the ebook thanks to Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts Lit in exchange for my honest option so thank you very much for the arc!

I absolutely adored AND devoured this book. If there is one thing I’ll put my entire trust into when it comes to books, is Morgan writing a grumpy x sunshine romance. It’s her trope and she outdid herself with Lucky Girl Summer!

June is the definition of a girl who truly believes everything works out for her and I love that about her. Not only is she someone who goes along with what life throws her way, making the best of it but she does it with kindness and love. Everything about her character is fantastic and she’s the type of person I aspire to be. I’ll admit, I learned a thing or two about manifesting through this book.

Graham is a layered character that I would go to war for. This man has grump tattooed on his forehead and is so closed off at first that he represented the grumpy to June’s sunshine in an outstanding way but inside, he’s a cinnamon roll MMC for her and that combination is one of my favorites ever.

This entire book had me giggling and kicking my feet but I also cried and sympathized with the emotional obstacles that June faced while trying to achieve her lucky girl summer. It’s packed with good banter, found family, love everywhere you look and a grumpy man who can’t help but falling deep in love with his sunshine woman.

I love everything about this book, 5 stars seems short for what I’d rate it if there was more stars available.

Thank you so much Morgan and House of Hearts!

“If that was a smile, then the bar must be in hell.”

This book came into my life as I was deep in my post-ACOTAR and Throne of Glass hangover/depression and it was the perfect thing to pull me out. I needed something different, a complete 180 in book form and this was it. The optimism, whimsy and joy in this book are infectious. It’s the perfect summer read and I devoured it in 24 hours.

I love everything Morgan writes, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that I loved this book. Graham is a delicious, down bad MMC. I loved his grumpiness and how, despite the grumpy attitude, he did absolutely everything he could to make June happy — and lucky!

You will have a smile on your face while reading this book. I guarantee it. The banter is perfection and there are so many funny one-liners like:

“Agreed is a very strong term for you say something and me being in the room while you say it.”

I also want to note that while this was mostly told from June’s POV, we get perfect little glimpses of Graham’s POV that really bring the story to the next level and had me kicking my feet. Also, this is a workplace romance (she’s his assistant, but it’s not a forbidden romance), there’s only one bed and there’s no third act breakup 🙌🏼

Highly recommend this for rom-com lovers.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I’m so grateful to Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts for the gifted digital copy — all opinions are my own.

I. Am. Obsessed.

This man is so incredibly down bad (like he genuinely deserves a bloody trophy) and also extremely productive ayooo. No, but actually how did he have time for his own work? That man lived and breathed June. Yeah sure, grumpy man whatever (we love a grump), but if June had that man on a leash even if she didn't know it at first. How could I not be obsessed? Also, Graham's character growth and him slowly learning to open himself up to connections and actually living... yeah that might have made me a little bit emotional. That man deserves everything.
And June, my girl. She is just a complete ray of sunshine and I adore her. She sees the positive in everything and I love that for her. I also love how she came to realise that she is that girl. She is talented and she actually deserves (and should) go for what she wants, because she CAN do it. Like yes girl character growthhhh!!
I just love them together. Oh and don't get me started on the spice, helloooooo. Hot Hot Hot Hot Hot.

Just completely obsessed with the Morgan Elizabeth verse (the little cameos eeehhh) and I cannot wait for the next book!

Thank you Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts for and advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If Morgan Elizabeth writes I read it - no questions asked. I knew this would be the perfect summer romcom with amazing chemistry between the MCs and lots of spicy scenes and that's exactly what I got.
- the perfect comfort summer read!

June and Graham were phenomenal together from day one and had the best chemistry, making their spicy scenes hot af! I love how we started our with our lucky girl June's POV only to learn more about Grahams thoughts about June later on. For a second he gave me the ick but everything he did or said or thought proved that this man was down bad from day one.

This friend circle is adorable and I love how Morgan Elizabeth handles the found family, girlhood trope in any of her series! The love and support these characters feel for each other is unmatched.

And the way all her series and couples connect is so fun and had me excited to read more about all these other couples mentioned along the way.
-Tourist Trap and Maneater will be my next reads now.

4⭐️ 2🌶️

- June and Graham
- small town
- summer romance
- strangers to lovers
- workplace romance
- only one bed

“You’re a nut,” he murmurs through the smile. “You’ll get used to it.”
“I don’t think anyone could ever get used to you, June Taylor.”

Omg we are baaaaaaaaaack in Seaside Point!!!!!

June gets laid off from her teaching job and has to decide if she wants to move an hour away to another district to teach there or find another job in town. She happens to grab a scratch off ticket and borrows a penny from a stranger that she’s never seen before but she wins so she decides the stay in Seaside Point.

A few days later, their paths cross again and they end up spending the night together. Graham is obsessed from the START to the point where he makes up a job at his company just so he can spend more time with her. But he’s also not afraid of manufacturing some luck to put a smile on Junes face🍀

4.25⭐️ for Lucky Girl Summer by Morgan Elizabeth

I can picture myself reading this cute romcom at the beach, it felt like a perfect read for a sunny day of lounging by the waves.

I loved how Graham was always doing these little (and grand!) gestures to make June happy, from donuts to four-leaf clovers to so much more, it was all so sweet and swoony, I just adored him. The fact that he starts out grumpy AF then slowly starts to soften for June made me melt into a puddle too.

June's sunshine personality was a touch too much for me at times, especially when she believed the universe would always have her back and things would go her way; obviously they don't, they can't, and that grated a bit for me.

I ate up this lighthearted romcom though, and as always with Morgan Elizabeth the swoon rivals the spice and I was here for it! Bonus, there's no third-act breakup, just fun and swoon and spice all the way.

Thank you to Morgan Elizabeth and House of Hearts Lit for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to House of Hearts PR for this ARC🫶🏻

June is lucky 🍀 When she loses her job, it’s just not meant to be and better is to come! She has a one night stand that turns out to be her new grumpy boss, but she’s determined to be his friend!

Graham is grumpy and not happy to be in this seaside town for his new project. When he meets a bubbly, sunshiney June, he knows he’s a goner! She forces him to spend lunch with her and she wants to get to know him! He begrudgingly becomes her friend but knows he wants more. He helps make June’s luck with small and large gestures. It’s just so romantic! These two have all the chemistry and there’s a one bed moment that changes it all! Once Graham has June, he isn’t letting her go!

June is so positive and I wish I could be more like her! She believes she’s the luckiest girl in the world and Graham makes it happen!

This book was ADORABLE. Morgan Elizabeth truly never misses when it comes to sweet, feel-good romance 🩵

Think:
🌊 small coastal town vibes
☀️ “Lucky Girl Summer” energy
😏 opposites attract
💼 one night stand → grumpy boss
💖 secretly obsessed hero

June is ready to quit her job and let the universe surprise her… but she definitely didn’t expect her grumpy new boss to be the guy from her one-night stand 👀 And while she’s trying to break down his walls and become his friend, he already wants to give her the entire world 🥹

The banter? PERFECT.
The chemistry? SO GOOD.
The side characters? Obsessed.

Such a refreshing romance where the characters genuinely want the best for each other 🫶 I already need more books in this world!

We love a man who is down BAD from the moment he meets her!!!

Obsessed with Graham and his pining honestly, i love that his few few chapters are super short and just going insane over June😂
The fact he calls her lady luck!!!! Im obsessed!

I love June and Graham together so much! Theyre so cute together and i just love that they had no dramas about relationships in the workplace and everyone was rooting for them

So here for the Rowan and Josie cameos!!

Absolute fave moment was recreating sixteen candles, literally screaming and kicking my feet😭 and remembering second birthday?! Who is this man and where can i find one pls

This is Morgan Elizabeths world and i’m just lucky to be living in it

Thank you Rae for the ARC!

Morgan Elizabeth did it again. I absolutely loved the dynamics of the grumpy/sunshine trope in this. Adding that whole strangers to “forced” friends to lovers element top tier. I love June’s positivity through the book. Her outlook in “lucky” things and how she tackles life is just a great element. I love that even tho it’s dual POV Graham’s isn’t there every other chapter he’s there enough that you aren’t wondering what is going through his head. The spice too you knew Graham was gonna deliver and boy did her. I gave it 4 because for me it was a bit of a slow start but once I got into i devoured it.

The cutest most sunshiney book! I have not swooned so bloody hard for a book boyfriend like I did for Graham. He is top tier book boyfriend material. Every little thing he did had me hooked. And little miss ray of sunshine June had my heart in a special way too. The artist who never thinks she’s good enough definitely found my kindred spirit. So much of her is in me. Just instead of a ladybug tattoo I have a 4 leaf clover. If you’re looking for the perfect summer beach read, a really happy go lucky (wink wink) story this is the perfect book for you. Prepare to fall madly in love with these two, this town and this group of friends.

Another absolutely fantastic book by Morgan.
This was just such a feel good, sweet (and spicy) read! I adored June and Graham. June was just the epitome of sunshine and goodness. And Graham…. That wonderful, grumpy man was down baaaad!! If you are looking for a light hearted, beachy, small town vibes book that will make you swoon and smile, I would definitely recommend this book!

Thank you Morgan Elizabeth for an advanced copy of this book!

Graham and June were precious. She’s happy go “lucky” and he’s the man behind the scenes making it all happen. There’s no 3rd act breakup - which sign me up. I love when stuff just works out, ya know?

We got to see the whole crew, which was nice. Claire and Miles are still going strong. And I can see where the series might go in the future. We also get a nice cameo from Josie and Rowan!

This is the perfect summer/beach read!

This book was so adorable and had me laughing/giggling the whole entire time!

June had the best personality & I just loved every thing about her lucky girl syndrome!

Graham was so quiet and to himself and I loved how his life completely changed when he meant June. She brought her bubbly, full of life personality into his life and it made him so much better.

Graham was down bad for June and I loved it! These two were just so sweet together and you couldn’t help but to love them together

Holy cow! I loved this so much!! I think we can all learn from June and have a lucky girl summer. There was so much joy in this book. I loved how before we got to Grahams POV that he was obsessed with June. Graham is a top tier boyfriend and he does everything to make June happy. The encouragement he shows her to follow her dreams is wonderful. One of my favorite Morgan Elizabeth books.

I completely fell in love with this story. The characters felt real, and their connection was beautifully written. It’s one of those books that makes you laugh, blush, and feel emotional all at once. The summer setting added so much charm. I’ll definitely be recommending this to other romance lovers.
