Not What I Expected
Maybe there’s another book or two to complete this story. But after the way the first book was left and the build up of this book, I expected a lot more.
Basically it’s months later with no resolution to the first book. They’re on a cruise with only minor activity happening.
The way it was written suggests that further books are to follow, but nothing really happened except issues from a distance.
But there are a number of instances where things could be evolving. So I have to believe on further books.
Because this is more like foreplay than conclusion, I’d suggest waiting till you see if further books occur. By itself this is hardly a good read.

This is 160 page novella split into two volumes.
Steve and Becca have been married nearly twenty years. Two boys out of high school. Carelessness browsing the internet opens dialogue between the two about fantasies. Over several months, Becca becomes more and more salacious. Their sex life, which had been somewhat vanilla, is becoming a lot more adventurous as they discuss things.
They go on web sites posting erotic pictures of Becca and solicit feedback for both their enjoyment as they ramp upward toward ‘sharing her’. A fantasy they both revel in.
Ms Duffy builds angst in both partners beautifully. She does it without humiliation or pain. Her sense of excitement is developed as only she can do it. Her method, in this book, is conversations between the couple as they broach their individual fantasies. It’s done believably with intelligence and heat.
Ms Duffy's ability to write realistic dialogue,... SHINES!
The love and excitement translates thru the dialogue and the sex between the couple. The realism adds to the story. Sex drives this story and adds to the reality.
This story would collapse If Ms Duffy didn’t show us Becca’s mind. She goes to great lengths to give us Becca’s thoughts and feelings. The heat this generates is brilliant. It’s a very long, slow burning fuse. As this tale develops, their imaginations and sex play get nastier and more vivid.
Becca becomes more and more an exhibitionist. We get to see inside Becca’s mind as she flashes strangers in public places. Her sense of embarrassment, overwhelmed by her excitement, are delightful to read. The reality is stunning. They play frequently in public. Both Becca and Steve get excited as they exhibit her other people. The way Ms Duffy builds the excitement is magnificent. There is a scene on a park bench, where she lifts her skirt and completely displays herself to a couple, that is absolutely stunning. All during this, Steve photographed the event.
This is a rare and unusual topic for most writers. Having never done this, they don’t do it well. Ms Duffy, does.
I hope she continues this story with Becca and Steve as they continue their adventure with others.
