Sofia and Nate . . .
Brittani Monroe’s is an obviously spoiled, obnoxious movie star filming the latest installment of Shadow Protocol, an action movie she stars in. Sofia is her totally ignored sister who has become her personal assistant and keeps everything running smoothly while avoiding the spotlight herself. Nobody even seems to see Sofia, although she prepares a special diet lunch for everyone because when Brittani is on a strict diet, everyone is. A nutritionist tells her what her sister must eat, but they don't hire a chef since Sofia handles everything herself (whether she chooses to or not). As she started making their lunch, her sister and mother stormed into the kitchen, criticizing her for dealing with food when her stalker had sent another email threat (as if Sofia could have known this?). Their mother announced that she was calling their father as Sofia put their plates in front of them to eat while they called dad because this stalker is becoming an interruption of Brittani's work! And this time the stalker said he wanted to hurt her! Her dad says he has a friend Ryker who has a security company and will send someone out... so Brittani immediately started typing to notify all her fans that she will be protected now! (How does she memorize her lines with a brain so atrophied?) And as usual, everyone ignored Sofia. Her father called her back to say Ryker was sending a couple of guys and they needed information on schedules and such from her (this was her day "off"). Guardian Legion Security would send two guys, Nate and Callum, and Sofia needed to prepare rooms at their villa for them, and mother wants the rooms prepared immediately on Sofia's day off.
Nate Monroe is assigned to protect both sisters. Nate had expected to deal with a demanding celebrity, but Sofia is the opposite, clever, quiet, patient, and capable of multi-tasking and organizing. Working with her brings them closer together, makes them aware of their growing connection. And Nate and Callum begin to suspect that the real target is not the vain sister. They also think they know where this is coming from. While Nate finds a private trailer to discuss everything with Matt, he returns to find Sofia is missing. And Callum noticed something else that was suspicious. Even her mother hadn't found her to make schedule changes for the filming. Will they finally find out the truth? Will they be able to protect the actual target before it's too late? Or will the answer come totally from another source no one had suspected?

I loved Sofia! She’s hardworking, capable, and accustomed to putting everyone else’s needs before her own. It was so sweet watching Nate recognize just how special she is.
Nate is exactly the kind of protective bodyguard I love. He’s professional, observant, and determined to keep Sofia safe, even as their growing attraction makes his assignment increasingly complicated. 🔥
The suspense adds another layer when Nate realizes the threats may not be directed at the famous sister after all. The woman everyone overlooks could be the one in real danger!
I really enjoyed the combination of hidden secrets, forced proximity, and a romance that develops as Nate and Sofia grow closer. There’s something especially satisfying about a heroine finally being seen and appreciated for who she is. 🥹❤️
This is a quick, engaging romance with plenty of danger, sweet moments, and protective-hero energy.

Someone's interested in her? That's a novel situation.
Nate Monroe works for Guardian Legion Security, which has been hired to protect actress Brittani, her sister, Sofia, and their mother, Evelyn. He and Callum were assigned to the job. They soon learn that Sofia is the dynamo sister, the one in the background who keeps everything running smoothly for her sister. Both Brittani and Evelyn run roughshod over her. Her father, Dave, cares for her, but he's often absent tending to other business affairs. When he does notice how Sofia is being treated, he does try to step in to protect her, but it's almost too little too late as he also depends on her to keep things running smoothly.
Someone has been sending threatening emails to Brittani. While Nate was gone, the man who had been sending the emails appears and has grabbed Sofia. The man's grievance against Brittani is well deserved, but grabbing Sofia instead of Brittani won't motivate Brittani to do the right thing. If he can just get Sofia to safety... He realizes he loves her, and it's important for her to know that. Does she feel the same about him, or is he just the first man to pay any attention to her?
She's been offered a job with Guardian Legion Security; it could be another family for her, one that will treat her much nicer than her biological family does. Maybe this is the time to leave her ungrateful family. After learning what Brittani had done, she knows it is time to start on a new path—is it the one that leads her to Nate?

Nate Monroe and Callum are assigned to provide security for an actress. What he finds is his forever. Sofia’s situation was difficult to take as she was targeted with ugliness by her mother and famous sister. Loved how Nate fell instantly and supported her. The sizzle and banter were perfection. Suspense kept me turning the pages. Good read.

I liked the way these two clicked, that he saw her for who she was and that he tried to protect her and free her from the life she was living. I thought they had good connection and chemistry and I liked them together.
