The Ether Witch #3

The Ether Witch: The Divining of a Devil

Rate this book
Magic. Mystery. Mayhem. Fate has come due.

Having defeated the corrupt concubine Soo Hebin, and cast the first witch into a prison she shouldn't be able to escape easily, Tam thinks some rest is in order.
Sadly, because the Zinferan emperor has it in his mind that Eli should be the heir to his throne, there isn't much time for that.

With help from Katarina Ashowan and the Ryu family, Tam, Eli, Luca, and Penelope set sail for Dazaria at long last.

Only, leaving Zinfera doesn't get rid of their troubles for long.

Upon rescuing some mysterious Lobahlans from Zinferan pirates, and learning that the rebellion of the covens is coming to a climax, Tam finds that his new moniker, the devil, is starting to sit a little heavily on his shoulders.

Can he manage to help stop an all-out war from breaking out between witches and humans? Will the First Witch stay banished and leave him and his family alone? And most importantly, can he convince the freedom-loving Eli to agree to marry him?

Discover the epic conclusion in The Ether Witch, Volume 3: The Divining of a Devil—a spellbinding fantasy filled with witches, royal intrigue, magic, and star-crossed romance.

Overall, I really enjoyed the conclusion to this trilogy. The book hinted that there was more books to look forward to in this universe that I will try to wait patiently for. As always, characters are true to themselves and there's some heartbreak. The children were fun.

There was some things missed in editing, mostly in relation to Thomas Julian and Likon names getting mixed up a couple of times for some reason. The digital format of the book had some minor formatting issues in a couple of places.

Minor spoilers: it felt like this book was hinting at future books focusing more on lobah and Penelope that I'm looking forward to. Maybe Charlie as well would get some focus in the future.

An excellent saga

What an amazing journey it has been following the Ashowan family. It was sad to see the series come to a conclusion but what a satisfying conclusion it was. Reading through Tamlin and Eli's growth and adventures from the first to this last book was just so much fun. They really go through it all and come out stronger together. I love everything about this series ❤️ thank you Delemhach for the world, characters, and their you crafted for us.

The end of an era

And so ends the story of Tamlin Ashowan. I'm so freaking happy I took a chance on Delemhach and even happier that Tam finally gets the ending he deserves. The 2nd generation of Ashowans are just as fun and calamatous. I cannot wait to hear what the next generation gets into. Just as enjoyable a read as all the other books in the series.

The beginning dragged on a bit (would have rated it a 3-star), but I sobbed so much in the latter part (would have rated as 5-star), and I'm so very happy of their final HEA.

A slow start with a satisfying conclusion.
The beginning was slow and the ending a little rushed.
I liked the hint of future books.
