Riot St. James. The name has been ringing bells throughout Miami ever since she came home from jail.
We’ve watched her slowly navigate into her position as becoming The Street Heiress. It wasn’t easy for her to get to where she’s at. Coming home from jail after a year, she thought that she would step back into her old position with her former leader, but things didn’t work in her favor. Never the type to take someone’s word, especially a stranger, she took Dolo up on his offer, and worked beside him, coming along to his organization. Not only did the two of them make good business partners, but along the way, they were good catches for each other, spicing things up a little bit. With a new relationship growing between Dolo and Riot, there’s pressure coming at them from every angle. Enemies are out there moving reckless, and a lot of people aren’t too fond of this newfound relationship between Dolo and Riot. Riot fights hard to keep her personal life out of the spotlight, but this is Miami, and she’s dating the hottest dope boy, so everything that she does with Dolo automatically gets put on front street. Dolo is used to having the kind of organization that runs smoothly. This time around, he’s dealing with so many things within the business. After finding out what a long-time friend of his has been doing behind his back, Dolo has to make the decision on how he should handle the situation, but he can’t seem to handle it in the way that everyone wants him to. With that, it’s almost like a gamble that he’s taking with his life. For a first-time couple, you would think that Riot and Dolo would be basking in the honeymoon stage, but that isn’t the case for them. The two of them are fighting to stay alive, protect the organization, and keep all snakes out of their grass. All this, and still trying to maintain a perfect love for each other.
I would like to impart some wise and encouraging wisdom to Riot! You have an amazing family, embrace them, love them and you don’t need to act tough all the time! Confide in your mom about the trauma you experienced in jail, maybe talk to a therapist since so many traumas she’s dealing with!
Now I’ve said that, that Cam ugh 😣. If I could have gone through my reading device to get to her I would. What a bully and that bully got what she deserved! Those other ladies that helped her, hopefully, they get to experience what Cam went through.
Now the ending though! I was wondering to myself what will happen, but didn’t see that coming! Like the saying goes, how he ended up in that neighborhood?
With all due respect because I know Authors are sensitive about their work, but ma’am what is going on with you your stories have been dummy downed or something. I used to love reading your books but now it seems as though you are repeating the same thing over and over just to meet a word count. I can say half of this book was u repeating details that was in the 1st book. It feels as though you are writing books for high schoolers and idk your writing was soo much better when I started to read you. I hope you find that spark because it’s apparent that it’s missing. God Bless you.
All I can say is at the end of this book my mouth was on the ground! Those mess get into how much I love riot and Dolo. This man is so in love with this girl and I love how he can say. I’m never gonna cheat on her for her to be in love with the first time is too cute love has she kick Cam butt! This next book can’ t come fast enough, I hope this Tom person is not spying on the family and really did relocate to get away because MBM is gonna kill him. Part 3 is going to be boom
She don’t miss… that’s all I can say. A DDJ book is going to hit every time. She weaves a story so perfectly that you can see the characters and watch the plot unfold. Chef’s kiss. My only critique is that I wish the editing was a little better. The few mistakes don’t take away from the story just a small inconvenience when you have to reread to figure out what the sentence should have said. Either way she is a must read author 💗
I actually give the book 4.5 stars because the word your used for you’re throughout the book was frustrating. But let’s talk about Riot and Dolo. Their relationship was so refreshing. They were in love and wanted everyone to know. Mook had it good and allowed drugs to take over and ruin his life. Cam got just what she deserved. I can’t wait to see where the storyline with the cop is leading to. But I really hope that the use of your will be corrected.
I’m not sure whether your editing process has changed recently, but this draft doesn’t feel as polished as your usual work. There are several issues—such as heavy comma use and some run-on sentences—that make the story harder to follow and take attention away from its strengths. Your writing has been much stronger in the past, which is why this stands out. I think another round of editing or proofreading could really help the piece reflect the quality you’re capable of.
Diamond does it againnnn, I’m loving this series with Riot!
Diamond’s own game is unmatched, and baaaaaby I’m loving Riot and how she’s grown from part 1!Dolo don’t play about her on noooo day and I love that for her, won’t say too much but part 3 is needed asap cause that ending…mindblowing! That get back is definitely a mfer and I loveeeee to see It!!!!!
Riot is trying to get back life after prison, meeting the first guy who has ever been able to keep her attention. With life throwing her obstacles at every turn.
How is she going to handle seeing the video and knowing who killed her father?
Just when you think everything this is going well, things change and you are left with a good cliffhanger. It is good to see how Riot is growing and overcoming all that she has been through . I am ready to see what happens next.
I’m still loving Riot and Dolo together but I lowkey wanna see some trouble in paradise 👀😂.
I’m so ready for part three because the way this ended I need to see how Riot is about to handle this. I know Diamond will have this next part in May. She never let us wait too long.
Dolo is most definitely climbing the list. Diamond Johnson knows how to write the hell out of a book! This book had me going the so many different emotions! I’m so ready for part 3
I’m going to say wow that was so good. I’m really going to have to wait until all books in a series are released before I read any more books because I can’t wait too see what’s next.
Absolutely love Riot & Dolo! Patiently waiting for next book. Definitely a a page turner. Just wished some of the characters story played out a little more, but satisfied with the results. Awesome job Diamond!
I was waiting for this book!! They only reason it’s not 5 stars because your and you’re is messing my girl up!! However, the plot never fails. My girl is a beast with the pen.
If you need an editor I’m available! The last 4 books I’ve read by you have had the same issues and misspellings! You deserve better! Overall great story! Ready for part 3!
Riot ain’t sparing nobody!! I love it!!! She’s still gangsta living in her soft girl era! I love how Dolo love her and not playing any games with her or playing with nobody about her.. Now this ending!!!!! Part 3 me please!!
