Caroline wird von ihrem Freund sitzen gelassen. Ausgerechnet an ihrem Geburtstag teilt er ihr, dass sie den Job in seinem Unternehmen los ist und zeitnah aus seiner Wohnung ausziehen soll. Vollkommen verzweifelt, will sie sich zum Geburtstag einen One Night Stand gönnen und trifft in einer Bar die drei Männer, die schon bald ihr Leben auf den Kopf stellen.
Die Idee an sich ist, dank der ungewöhnlichen Konstellation, interessant aber sprachlich ist es einfach absolut nicht meins. Es ist voller Fehler, schwach und teilweise plump, einfach nicht ansprechend erzählt. Das zieht sich leider durchs ganze Buch.
"Er öffnet seinen Mund und unsere Zungen tanzen minutenlang einen aufregenden Tango." - ernsthaft?
Und so vieles wiederholt sich. Sowohl in der Handlung, als auch an Ausdrucksweise und Formulierung. Die Männer sind immer äußerst appetitlich und leicht erigiert, alles was sie machen ist entweder äußerst erotisch oder wahnsinnig erotisch. Oder es ist äußerst erregend und dann ist sie hochgradig erregt. Und überhaupt ist alles so was von sexy, unfassbar sexy, wahnsinnig sexy oder unglaublich sexy.
Dann denkt sie ständig darüber nach was alle darüber sagen würden - Fans, Fremde, Nachbarn, Eltern - alles in ständiger Wiederholung.
Irgendwann musste ich bei jedem zweiten Satz die Augen verdrehen, immer wieder Dialoge, über die Caroline denkt "sexy kleiner Schlagabtausch", fand ich dann eher albern. Ich habe es nur fertig gebracht, weil ich einfach unfähig bin ein Buch abzubrechen.
"Werden wir dann alle zusammen für immer in der WG wohnen? So etwas gibt es doch nur im Märchen, oder nicht?" - Was für Märchen kennt die denn bitte?
Nur die Männer sind einigermaßen interessant und geheimnisvoll. Das ist dann aber zu wenig um über 700 Seiten die Spannung zu halten. Dafür hat es sich aber schnell lesen lassen, kann aber auch daran liegen, dass ich über die Hälfte dann nur noch überflogen habe.

"Herren der Liebe" ist ein mitreißender Erotikroman. Hat man einmal mit dem Lesen begonnen, will man auch unbedingt wissen, wie es mit Caroline und dieser ungewöhnlichen WG weitergeht. Dennoch ist die Geschichte völlig unrealistisch. Darüber sollte man sich im Klaren sein, wenn man sich dazu entscheidet, dieses Buch zu lesen. Der Schreibstil der Autorin gefällt mir eigentlich recht gut, leider schleichen sich im Text aber immer wieder störende Fehler ein. Wenn die ausgemerzt werden, liest sich das Buch bestimmt richtig schön flüssig. Ein paar Ausdrücke im Buch finde ich allerdings furchtbar. "Muschel", "Lustschwert" und "Phallus" kann ich nach diesem Roman ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr hören. Die ständigen Wiederholungen sind sehr nervig.
Die Charaktere in der Geschichte gefallen mir gut. Sie haben alle ihre Ecken und Kanten und wirken auf mich durchaus glaubwürdig. Die Handlung selbst ist dafür mehr als fragwürdig. Aber es ist ja auch ein Erotikroman und kein Tatsachenbericht. Daher kann ich darüber hinwegsehen. Es stört mich aber sehr, dass im ganzen Buch nicht ein einziges Mal ein Kondom oder eine andere Verhütungsmöglichkeit erwähnt wird. Zu den beschriebenen Sexspielzeugen wurde meiner Meinung nach auch nicht besonders gut recherchiert. Ich möchte das Buch aber auch nicht "schlecht machen". Das Ende hat mir persönlich überraschenderweise richtig gut gefallen. Das hebt sich stark von anderen Romanen dieses Genres ab. Jeder, der einen Erotikroman lesen möchte und über ein paar Kleinigkeiten hinwegsehen kann, wird bestimmt viel Spaß mit dieser Geschichte haben.

September 20, 2015Very interesting book with a great storyline. I liked how Kate wanted to find out about her "guy's" past and never gave up, some people may have called that nosey but that is just what they needed, to be made to face it. I just wished she would have got more time with Alex but I guess that wasn't in the cards. You could tell it was Liam because he wanted her close and Marcus because of his banters with her. It ended the way I half expected but I really want to hear more about Alex and his HEA.
Yes there was some spelling error's or typ-o's, and a characters name in the wrong spot here or there but you still knew what the author was saying. If the book is free it is usually a rough draft and proofreader's should catch any errors the writers make. Just remember writers are human too, so if you just see errors maybe you should be a writer.

Interesting
I mostly enjoyed the book. The plot line was actually pretty good, however some of the commentary was lacking and the grammar was atrocious in many places. I also hope that the typos were simply from converting the book to digital but it made the book harder to read simply because of them. I will not bother with the next book for these reasons even though I wouldn't mind seeing Alex's story finished. I just have no desire to work through a book I am trying to read for enjoyment.

Yummy
Love the storyline,and full details of each of Katherine's escapades with her roomies.
The only thing that bothered me was the editing,some character's were out of place and spelling errors

Editing needed
The story was so-so but the spelling, grammar, and punctuation were atrocious and distracting. Was it originally in a language other than English and translated word by word? Terrible.

l loved this book couldn't put it down. the story was well written easy to follow. I loved all the charaters Kate,Liam,Marcus, & Alex. This book was not what I was expecting especially the ending. can't wait for the next book.

This book is so dumb. I can't get pass the mis spelling of words. I don't read a book that I need to figure out what author is trying to say. Waste of .99

What a life. WOW
I enjoyed the book but it all sounds to exhausting to me..I'm not in to pain. I think taking care of one man is more then enough.
