Me ha gustado bastante. No es la historia más original del mundo pero si que me intriga como se resolverá.

I thought the premise of this one was intriguing - Albus is reliving the same time period over and over again, trying to speed run his way through quests to defeat the demon lord, while pulling a confused Fiona with him along the way. We get his determined POV to get to the end as fast as possible, and then Fiona's befuddled POV as she learns this isn't the first, fourth or seventh time he's done this.

I really enjoyed the message that being set on "autopilot" and rushing through life means we're missing out on the good stuff - the deep talks around the campfire, the connection with people we meet on the street, the laughs that come working with others that quickly become close friends, the chance to help someone else in a way that changes their entire life trajectory.

The artwork is gorgeous, I love the designs of each character.

I did want a little more from the story. When they say "speed run" through the quests, they MEAN speed run. I wanted Fiona to push back a little more on why they were doing it this way (especially as she has no memory of the previous runs). I also felt like because he's done this before, there wasn't any conflict at all throughout the entire story until we get to the end. Surely there are some things that he would still struggle with or couldn't have accounted for? I wanted there to be more obstacles or frustrations throughout the story itself.

All in all, I enjoyed the premise of this but it fell a little short of the mark in the end.

I picked up Albus Changes the World Vol. 1 without really knowing what to expect, but I do know I love anything to do with fantasy, and I ended up having a decent time with it.

Albus is an interesting character to follow, and I liked seeing how he views the world around him, as well as the multiple times he has had to repeat the same mission.

There are some funny moments, but there are also parts that made me stop and think about how small actions can affect other people in positive and negative ways.I think what I enjoyed most was the concept behind the story.

Albus isn't necessarily trying to do something huge all the time, but the things he does still make a difference.

The graphic novel is also easy to get through and features an interesting adventure.There were a few parts where I wasn't completely hooked, and I think I would have liked a little more character development in places.

As this is Volume 1, though, I'm interested to see where Albus goes from here and what happens next, so I will be looking out for the continuation.

Overall, this was a nice read with a good idea behind it.

I enjoyed spending some time with Albus, seeing the way he tries to make his mark on the world, and meeting the female companion he's got with him.

So if you want fun over multiple lives this is your kind of read 📚

Albus Changes the World, Vol. 1 delivers a refreshingly sharp twist on the classic fantasy adventure.
The story kicks off when Fiona, an insecure aspiring adventurer, is suddenly drafted by the chosen hero, Albus. The catch? Albus has already lived through this entire quest before and is ruthlessly "speedrunning" the timeline—skipping side quests and using unconventional shortcuts to cheese major battles. 

What was great:
-Great comedic timing: Watching Albus treat epic fantasy tropes like optimized gaming mechanics keeps the humor fast-paced and genuinely fun.
-Engaging character dynamic: Fiona grounds the story perfectly as the bewildered straight man trying to make sense of Albus's chaotic efficiency.
-Clean, expressive artwork: Action sequences are crisp, and the character reactions carry a lot of the comedy.

Small critique: Because the volume leans heavily into comedy and speedrunning mechanics early on, some of the broader world-building takes a backseat for now.

Overall, it is a breezy, clever read that subverts familiar hero tropes without losing its charm. Definitely looking forward to Volume 2. What a great first book for Akihisa Maki!

When I tell you, I LOVE A GOOD PLOT TWIST, and THIS is exactly what this book gave me. I WILL BE PURCHASING ALL OF THESE VOLUMES, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.

This was perfectly funny. I can't say much without getting into spoilers, but truly, the main character is just a silly goofy guy who genuinely cares, and Fiona is in that exact same realm, trying to help as many people as possible.

I really liked Akihisa Maki's story and the way it was done. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I also really loved Miki Yatsubo's art style throughout this book. I especially liked how each chapter's setting was slightly different from the others, which gave everything such a fun visual feel.

ALL IN ALL, AN INCREDIBLE BOOK. I WILL be rereading this, picking up the rest of the series, and I am SO excited to see what comes next.

I really liked this, it's a super fast paced fantasy where Albus is basically doing a speed-run to defeat the demon lord. He has defeated the demon lord many times and he is currently on his 36th attempt to get everything perfect. He has the ability to turn back time when he is not satisfied with his attempt. Before disembarking on his 36th attempt he picks up his travel companion, Fiona, a priestess.

The art was lovely, I love Albus' character design. Fiona's character design reminded me a lot of the magician girl from Yu-gi-oh for some reason. And the demon lord's design looked a lot like DC's Steppenwolf to me.

I am looking forward to continuing this series.

The Demon King is dead and the world is at peace, but Albus got there too late to save what actually mattered. So he starts the whole quest over, this time with every second accounted for.

Albus already knows how every conversation is going to end, so he plows straight through them, and most of the comedy comes from everyone around him having no idea why he is in such a rush. There is a real reason for it, and the volume earns it.

My one gripe is the pacing. It covers so much ground so fast that I hadn’t spent quite enough time with Albus to feel the ending as hard as I wanted to.

Great read! I liked seeing little glimpses of Albus’ previous lives and how he knew Fiona. You also see every time he is able to do something quick and efficiently and how badly he failed in his previous life, you can tell he has changed a lot from his first run through, and his regrets and guilt piling up. You can also tell really early on what exactly he’s trying to make perfect, but only find out at the end of this volume why and how it goes wrong even though he has defeated the demon king multiple times. I liked the reveal at the end and can’t wait to see if Albus can make everything perfect or how long it takes him!

I loved this story! Albus Changes the World is about a hero with the power to go back in time to the beginning of his quest, which he uses to complete it as fast and efficiently as possible. at his volume has a small but might cast of characters, each with their own amusing personalities. What I didn’t expect was the true conflict at the end. There a bit more to this speedrun than he revealed, which sets the series up perfectly. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this story! This is a great read for someone who loves comedy and adventure but still wants a good plot.

HOLY PLOT TWISTS!!! I already was blown away and so excited by the premise of the plot, normally I give mangas 3 chapters to pull me in and this one got me in the first chapter. I was fully along for the ride and then the plot twist at the end had me absolutely screaming WHOA!!!!!! So incredible, what a start to a series, I can't wait to see how the rest will play out and what is in store for Albus and Fiona. I'm going to be recommending this manga to everyone that I can, incredible!

No será la mejor historia del mundo y tendrá un montón de clichés pero a mí me ha gustado mucho este primer tomo. El final no me lo esperaba para nada, después me ha recordado mucho a Frieren en el sentido de las aventuras, los flashbacks al pasado llenos de nostalgia y un personaje con un carácter muy parecido a ella. Pero no me importa que se parezca porque siento que tiene su propia historia y tengo muchas ganas de seguir leyendo para descubrirla y más después de ese final.

This manga is sooooo much fun! I enjoyed the entire volume. I’m going to have to catch up on the story but I will certainly be recommending this to many of my friends. The premise was fun and the TWIST at the end really caught me off guard! So good!!

That was quite an interesting start to the series. I enjoyed the two characters introduced so far, and vol 1 ended in such a surprising revelation already. Can’t wait for the next ch to be released and see how it’ll play out!
