Winner of this year's East Midlands Book Prize. My grasp on these wide ranging and contemporary poems, was variable but none, as some collections do, felt like small heaps or oozing puddles of unconnected words, I could tell the meaning was there and might bear repeated reading. There were many very pleasing touches to draw in the reader. I especially liked "How to run for this clock"
