Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, especially in love. Remington has played that game before and lost. One thing is certain… Losing Selene is not an option. As the threat on their lives looms closer, he knows one wrong move and she might disappear from his life forever. The clock is ticking, and Remington is competing against time to save the woman who is fast becoming a part of his soul.

But what happens after that? Will she stay, or will his past destroy any chance with her?

Love is what remains after our reservations melt away; when we let our demons come out to play.

Selene knows it is just a matter of time before all hell breaks loose. Whoever is after them is after blood. Her blood. She should have cut ties with Remington the second she read that first letter, but that is no longer a choice. She has fallen too far, too hard, and she is in too deep, both emotionally and physically.

At times secrets unite, and sometimes they destroy lives. Will the secret that binds them be enough to break Selene and Remington, or will it mend shattered bonds and make them stronger?

“Havoc Series" Selene has just signed her divorce papers fast forward a few months later she is on her way to Paris for a three month modeling contract. On her first day she meets the tall, dark, and gorgeous Remington. Sparks fly, insta lust, but as they keep running into each other Remington seems to go from hot to cold. Selene doesn’t know what to think of the sexy French man. Remington has his reasons for being hesitant about approaching selene but he can’t fight the attraction anymore and so it begins.

Havoc book one
I enjoyed book one so much! Seeing Remington pursue selene was so romantic. This man was a true gentleman and that sexy British and French accent wow! Once he knew he wanted selene he turned into this possessive alpha male. There was some doubts for selene as well but considering what she went through I’m glad she hesitated even if it wasn’t for long.

description

Obliterate book two
Starts right off the cliffy from havoc. Selene and Remington are enjoying their new romance but some unknown person doesn’t seem happy to see them together and is making threats. I like that Selene is opening her heart more for Remington not just him, but also his son, and seeing them more established as a couple even with the danger that surrounds them.

description

Mend book three
This one was my least favorite I still enjoyed it and it was a good continuation of the two previous books. But it went OTT on everything and towards the end I felt like I was reading a soap opera. And of course we finally know who is behind the threats and honestly I wished it hadn’t gone that way. It felt like too much, for everybody, and no real conclusion on that part of the drama, at least for me. As for Remington and Selene’s love it was a nice ending with a super sweet epilogue. I’m definitely intrigued by this author hopefully soon I’ll try another of her books.❤️

Book 3 of a trilogy. Final book answers all the questions.

”You, ma belle, are my light. The beacon that calls me home.”

Recap of Characters:
Remington (33, Parisian, famous painter, family has a vineyard/winery):
Remington is a widower with a 5 year old son. He is a wonderful father and a sexy, sexy man in and out of the bedroom.

Selene (26, plus size model):
Selene is in Paris for a 3 month modeling gig. She has been divorced for about 2 years. She has a strong backbone and doesn’t give up.

The Story
This story picks up where the Book 2 cliffhanger left off. Selene has some memory problems when she wakes up, but recovers well enough.

Both Selene and Remington’s families play a bigger role in this final installment and the villain is revealed pretty early on.

My Thoughts
I guessed who the villain was but the family connection seemed very far fetched and I had quite a bit of a problem buying into that. The reveal of the villain happened pretty early on and I really liked that. It allowed the other plot lines to play out without feeling rushed.

The theme of this book (besides a slightly implausible plot) is forgiveness. People have certainly been secretive and some pretty explosive things are revealed that impact several of the characters. Additionally, Remington’s father seems to want his son’s forgiveness after he treated him like crap since forever. Why? 🤔 This was another thing that kind of felt out of left field.

This was another short book (around 120 pages) so there was a lot packed in. I think a bit longer story to flesh out some of the items in this book would have been better because I was kind of scratching my head and wondering why someone of the people were acting certain ways.

Overall, this was enjoyable. Selene and Remington were easy to like and the supporting characters added to the story (for the most part). The story wraps up well and has a few twists and lots of steamy scenes along the way to keep the reader engaged.

Quotes:
“Love is what remains when we let our reservations melt away, when we let our demons come out to play”

“Let me go before that enlarged ego knocks me off the bed.”

“I’m possessive, jealous and there is a very good chance I will shackle your wrist to mine. I may even growl when any man dares to stare at you for longer than three seconds.”

“I met her, and somehow I knew she would change my life.”

“If I asked you to describe her in one word, what would it be?”
“Mine.”

“Your strength to pick up the pieces of a shattered life, spread your wings and fly, astounds me.”

“You had my heart even before I had a chance to give it to you.”

Mend is the third and final installment in the Havoc series and boy does it go out with a bang.

Autumn Grey has led us through the steamy, romantic, and suspenseful journey of the gorgeous Selene and handsome Remington. Those two have a powerful and unstoppable chemistry that has you rooting for their happy ending until the very last page.

Remington still wins as one of my all time favorite book heroes. He's quick with that French tongue of his and I wouldn't have him any other way.

"I know you love me."
"You do?"
"How could you not love me?"

Smartass.

This book was the perfect end to the series and I am grateful the author allowed me to read it in its beta stage. Even then, I flipped through the pages quickly in an effort to devour the delicacy that was this book. You will not be disappointed in this book or the entire series. I know for a fact I'll be looking forward to each and every new book by this author.

If you haven't read any of the Havoc series, you are missing out. Mend takes place right were it Obliterate left off.

When Selene wakes up she doesn't remember Remington right away but soon she does. After that the book gets even better. You definitely will enjoy what happens next

I won't give any spoilers away but OMG!!! Autumn Grey seriously out did herself. The twists in this book blew my mind away.

Obliterate was a gripping, hot and intense read but as I went onto book 3 mend it was explosive.

Everything was happening, attempted murder, twists and turns, parts of the plot seemed to unbelievable with the events and drama but this is fiction so I went with it.

From start to finish Havoc was intense, erotic, gripping and exciting.

Told in first person, dual pov.

Reading as part of the Havoc box set

Mend was a satisfying ending to Selene and Remington's story. It kept me guessing about the identity of the source of trouble for this couple and I can certainly say I didn't see that coming. I quite enjoyed seeing Selene and Remington grow closer and work to overcome the struggles they were facing early in the fledgling relationship. The chemistry between them is very strong but it's nice to see them with Adrien and other family members - to get a feeling for how they interact as a couple outside of the bedroom as well. And their bond is a strong one.

The only things keeping this from a higher rating is that I felt a few elements related to the reveal were a little too far-fetched and the resolutions between family members seemed a little too easy.

Despite my issues with these things, Mend left me feeling very happy and satisfied with where Selene and Remington ended up. Fate seemed to have brought these two together and hey were good for one another. They each had had their hearts broken but together, they were able to mend, and come out stronger in the end.

I think, after reading the first two books in this series, the bar was set a little too high for me. This just didn’t quite stand up to the rest of the series, for me. It was still a good book, I never had a hard time getting through it, it just lacked some of the magic of the first two.

I still loved Selene and Remington, they were great together, there just wasn’t enough of them being a couple. I also missed the wonderful dynamic Adrien added to their chemistry, he was largely a background character in this installment of the series and that made me sad, he was so wonderful in the first two books.

The real issue in this book was there was just too much going on. New characters, tons of storylines that needed to be wrapped up and even more giant developments completely contained within this novella. Had this been a full-length novel it may have worked, as each storyline could have been fully fleshed out and dealt with in with the delicacy they deserved. Since it wasn’t, everything felt rushed. It could have been truly amazing, had it been twice as long.

While I was trying to not be over-critical, as I’m sure this was an effect of the amount of action in this book, it seemed there were some issues with the timeline. One such incident was when the first day they’d been at the hospital with Selene; a few things happen, which had added up to several hours, then Remington says they’d been there for 48 hours, then in the next scene he speaks about how long yesterday (the day Selene was injured) was. There were a handful of these type of things that momentarily took me out of the scenes.

Overall, I enjoyed this series. It was engrossing and entertaining. The world was rich and well-built, I could really feel myself experiencing things along with the characters. Foremost, was the character-development. I loved each and every one of them and I never felt like they took giant leaps outside of the realms of who they were. My only wish would be that the final book was either much longer or broken into at least two more books, to really flesh out and finish all the storylines more fully.

First off: I KNEW IT! I had an idea on who was the stalker and I was right! Yes!

Second: The series is over! No more Remington, Selene or Adrien. :(

Third: The ending was so sweet that I couldn't have asked for more so it helps me with #2!

Alright, the real review is; Mend picks up where Obliterate ends. Selene is in the hospital after 'the stalker' has finally gone too far. Remy is dealing with alot--Selene, important decisions involving his family, and dealing with new revelations. He wants to protect the people he loves so he just might have to lie...

Everything is happening so be prepared for a wild ride. My only problem was that some things were too fast for me. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this series. And really, everything that happens, has to happen. It only fits the crazy mastermind. So keep that in mind!

There isn't much you can say without giving away spoilers so I'd suggest you continue with what your thoughts were and see if you're right.

Oooh, and if you are sadden by knowing this is the last book, here's a little Remy for you:

"I'm possessive, jealous, and there is a very good chance I will shackle your wrist to mine. I may even growl when any man dares to stare at you for longer than three seconds."

*sigh* Selene is one lucky woman! What I'd give to be shackled to Remy.... ;)

There were a few things keeping this from being five stars for me. The connection between Selene and the stalker was one too many dramatic twists for this reader. Coincidence can exist in real life, but it's a bit harder to pull off in fiction. Also, there were times that the character's actions didn't work for me. Being in the hospital after a coma and/or major surgery, it's tough to believe they wanted to fool around. I've had surgery, and my days post-op, sex was the last thing on my mind. Now, my husband isn't Remington, so maybe that makes all the difference. ;-) I did not love that everyone was withholding information from Selene for her "protection." Yes, she's been through a lot, but give the girl some credit. She's tough.

I enjoyed the story. Loved the HEA, loved that Selene apologized for her hasty decision to let Adrien call her by a name she hadn't yet earned, loved that all the loose ends were tied up. Wish we could have gotten a little bit more sexy times from our couple once they were home, but then again, this reader likes her romantic suspense ON FIRE. :-) Another reader could say this book was borderline too hot. But Autumn does such a great job writing sexy and sensual scenes, so I was greedily wanting some more of that.

Overall, a nice conclusion to a series that's suspenseful, sometimes intense, and often sexy... which is a mixture I so enjoy. Another great read.

And totally random, but the book formatting was beautiful!

Overall rating: 4 stars!

Triggers:
Cheating:
Sex with om/ow:
Love triangle:

HEA:

Let me start of by saying this was a very likable series. I liked it, just didn't LOVE it. I appreciated it because it honestly did not have ONE trigger that would piss me off, but I have to say that I felt something was lacking. I'm not sure if it's my mood or the writing style. I really can't put my finger on it, but this is totally Safety Gang Approved!

I was glad that we finally got an HEA for this couple and I really enjoyed reading more chapters in Remington's POV. I found the child aspect was a bit lacking - the little boy was barely in the book LOL Which is one of the reason I read this book, I LOVE single parent romances because I love the kiddos, but that's just my preference. Some will appreciate the fact that Adrien was kind of in the background. I also still stand by saying this series could have just been one book. It didn't need to be released in stages at all. I am not complaining though because the books were honestly not that expensive.

Overall this series was enjoyable and had no triggers :)

This is the third and final book in this wonderful series!
I truly fell in love with Selena and Remington. Our beautiful heroine Selena is strong willed and full of fire! She is a force to be reckoned with. When she loves she puts everything that she has into it! Remington is our amazing alpha male. He is loyal, strong, smart, sexy and when he loves someone he will go to hell and back for them and he may have to do that. The amazing energy and fire between these characters will have your fingers sizzling holding the pages! You will be rooting for them till the end!
Autumn has once again taken us the reader on an amazing journey full of intrigue, suspense, lies, passion and love. A fabulous end to the series. Kudos my friend!

Favorite Quotes:

“My pride had kept me from crawling to the room across the hall. I’d spent my entire life yearning for a man who would love and adore me for me. Craving it. A man who wanted to spoil me without asking for anything in return. I found him in Remington, yet here I was.”

“You had my heart even before I had a chance to give it to you.”

“But if I was to sum her up in one word, it would be mine.”

My Review:

The Havoc series started off strong and maintained my interest throughout each volume. The writing was emotive, entertaining, and engrossing. The plot was well crafted and intriguing. But the characters were the best part, they were fun, sensual, strong, unique, witty, refreshing, and surprising. I adored this series start to finish and even after 415 pages, I didn’t want it to end.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!! Mend is the final book in the Havoc series and every bit as good if not better than the first two. It has the perfect combination of romance, steamy hot sex scenes, suspense, romance and plot twists that will leave your heart pounding and needing to finish every last word!! The storyline is fresh and interesting and the characters are memorable and realistic! Remington, Arlene and Adrien stole my heart with their amazing story. I finished the whole series in a weekend because I couldn't put it down unless forced by my family responsibilities. I read while cleaning and cooking dinner because there is just not a good pausing point. Autumn Grey is an amazing new author and I look forward to reading every word she writes in the future!! Perfect ending to this wonderful story. I loved finally finding out who was behind all the problems that were going on and also getting my HEA. This was one of the best series that I have read and I hate to see it end. Remington what can I say about him but YUM !!! Selene was the best throughout this story and it was good to see another side to her and how she will always fight for what she wants and who she loves. I was glad that things wrapped up the way that they should have and a lot of questions were answered.

"If i was to sume her up in one word, it would be MINE." Remington said.

OMG What a twist..i didn't expect that...didn't see that coming.
What a surprising conclusion.
Those twists, the story, the hot Remington, yup i love it.

Damn...i want my Remington..he's so perfect...he's so romantic as expected from a French man.
And Selene...She has some insecurities but she's a brave strong woman.
Love this couple..she's so perfect for each other.

If you're looking romance story with some twists..This series is definitely for you.

Mend

The conclusion to Selene and Remington's story was everything I thought it would be. The stalker was taken care of.. and I don't think I was overly surprised as to who it turned out to be. All things ended happily for all involved! Great ending to a good series!
