Step by Step Pitches and Proposals is a great guide for authors beginning the long journey of pitching to agents and editors. The book is concise—sharing potent details in an efficient manner. It took only an hour to read, but I know I'll be visiting it again and again for guidelines on how to structure pitches, craft queries, create proposals, and format my manuscript.
I got this book going to a Willamette Writers meeting. Chip Macgregor was speaking, and several of his books were for sale. A kind lady bought this for me while I was there. It is one of the most helpful books on writing that I have ever read. It has all you need to know about writing a pitch and proposal, which are huge steps toward getting your work published. Not to mention, his writing style is fun and engaging. Not only does it have step by step instructions, but also worksheets. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to get their work published.
