Stone statues come to life.

Foreign emissaries seeking peace.

And a princess hidden in the folds of a scarf.

Ildenaryl is slipping into chaos. After centuries of relative peace, no one is prepared for their past great works of architecture, stone statues, to suddenly rise and come to life. In the hopes of finding answers, King Rathal’s best chance is to send a group of questers to the ancient southern fortress. But even with that possible solution, the king faces more problems a foreign emissary from Ildenaryl’s greatest enemy is coming. The king is left with few options but to greet this emissary in the hopes that it will lead to peace and pray to the Sovereign above for the success of the questers.
Time is short.

Ena’s existence is known to few. Surrounded by secrecy and lies, the last thing she wants to do is come face-to-face with the people that could unravel it all. But when her guardian, a regent, can’t avoid attending the council in the capital city, Ena has no choice but to accompany him for her own safety. She strives to keep her secret from everyone around her, but can she manage when there are more secrets and lies than even she knows?
Truth always has a way of coming to light.

Plots and deception. Traitors and unlikely allies. Ildenaryl needs its Sovereign to save it — but only if its people would follow His ways. If they don’t …chaos is coming.
