When the world fell apart, I held out hope that it could be fixed. Not with a nuclear bomb or military force, but by survivors coming together for the common good. Surely someone alive had an idea of how to reverse our fate, someone smart enough to see past all of the propaganda bullshit and discover a cure.
I was wrong.
I found a place that offers false hope, twisted reality and a future that I know no longer exists. There are good people there, but they are the minority. Most remain blissfully ignorant of the world around them. They hole up in their pretty little houses and pretend the world continues to spin like usual.
But the longer they remain blind, the stronger the Withered Ones grow.

I had such high hopes for this book! I loved the first one but this just didn't connect with me. The characters were very undeveloped and I didn't care for any of the side characters. I'm also not a fan of insta-love. The plot and relationships in the first book were so well thought out but this felt very rushed and over the top. The bad guys were just really unrealistic, too. Its almost like a totally different person wrote this book. I did like Nox, he could have been an awesome character with a bit more development. I also miss the action from the first book!! This went in a weird direction with the plot, too. Almost like she had wanted to write a vampire novel instead of zombies (you'll know what I mean if you read it). I'll still read more from this author because I know she can write fantastic stories but I think I'm done with this series. I'll just have to read the first book over and over again!
This story starts out really good in book one and surprisingly continues on and book two! I loved it and could not put it down and things were happening that I had no idea would happen. I loved it because I couldn’t wait to read and find out what happen next. My only complaint is that the editing was pretty bad. Sometimes you’re gonna have to stop and try to figure out what they’re really trying to say. I’m gonna buy book 3 in about five minutes keep up the good work Amy miles!
I really enjoyed the first book in this series. It was engaging and well-written. This one was not so great. I found numerous grammatical errors and typos, even a character’s name was wrong in one paragraph. Even without that, the story in this sequel to Wither is weak and at many points, a bit ridiculous. Wither is great and should have been a stand-alone novel. Skip this one and pretend it is.
I loved this one as much as the first. Action packed and decently a page Turner. Some of the original characters and some new ones to enjoy. Can't wait for the next book.
Wow! This book took turns and twists I didn't see coming! It kept me on my toes. My jaw hit the floor more than once. Great book to follow up Withered! I can not wait to see how the third book will finish Avery's story.
