This was a sweet read. The characters were so likable and so stinkin cute. I really loved the world the author built. This was a quick read with all loose ends tied up at the end. Some of the descriptive writing was repeated. Both of them thought about the other drinking water and watching them swallow it. Everytime they do the deed, he pulls her on top of their chest. I wished the drama lasted longer but overall, I really enjoyed this book!

Bound to the Dying Alpha King begins the Alpha Fated Bonds series with the fated romance between an ordinary human woman, except for the fact that she’s fated to an Alpha wolf shifter who happens to be the leader of his pack. A powerful man searching the human realm for his mate… and gets far more than he bargained for. Beckett has been attacked in an alley, the victim of a vicious assassin. With poison flowing through his system, Beckett’s only hope of survival is with Eden, with whom he has a magical connection… since she is his fated mate, discovered in the most unusual way at just the right moment to save his life.

Eden was simply making some extra cash by checking out the so-called dead dog in the alley. Turns out the dog was actually a large wolf, who could turn into a very dangerous, handsome man… who is now bound to her by a magic she doesn’t understand. But, here they are unable to be very far from each other at any given moment. Unfortunately, Beckett is still in danger from a traitor within his pack, and when the war comes searching him out, he’ll do the one thing he shouldn’t have done… reject Eden as his mate, believing it would keep her safe. *sigh* Overprotective Alphas! Doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. When he broke the bond, Beckett didn’t know that Eden was pregnant; Beckett’s heir has been slowly draining her life force to survive since the bond was broken. Once betrayed, Eden isn’t quick to trust this man she loves so quickly again. He’ll need more than sweet words to prove himself to her… if they can ever be safe from threats again.

I enjoyed Bound to the Dying Alpha King very much. Eden and Beckett are a powerful couple, and she is certainly no pushover. She’ll stand toe to toe with him, especially when she’s right and he’s so wrong. I’m quite happy to say that there was well-deserved groveling before their eventual happy ending. Their story is well-written, intense, full of danger, emotional, and passionate. I enjoyed the secondary characters who created quite a complex world for this story. The villain was the only exception to that enjoyment. If you love a good, solid Shifter/Paranormal Romance that will keep you on edge while rooting for a couple that does really belong together, then you’d love this one.

This delivers a dramatic, emotional paranormal romance with a strong mix of danger, loyalty, and fate. The setup is instantly engaging: Alpha King Beckett, in his late thirties, is found dying in a dark alley after being attacked and poisoned while searching the human realm for his fated mate. Instead of him finding her, fate flips the script when Eden — a hardworking human who’s barely scraping by while trying to afford her aunt’s expensive treatments — responds to a call about a “dead dog” and discovers a massive wolf barely clinging to life. One touch triggers a soul‑tether bond that forces them to stay within ten feet of each other if Beckett wants to keep breathing long enough to fight the poison.

The supporting cast adds a lot of personality. Valeria, the pureblood who keeps stirring trouble, brings sharp‑tongued drama, and it’s always satisfying when Beckett shuts her down. There’s also a traitor hidden within the pack helping the villain hunt the King, and the mystery of whether it’s a trusted rank or someone jealous of Beckett adds tension throughout the story. On the lighter side, Eden’s best friend Margery is a standout — funny, loyal, and always ready to hype her up or protect her when things get rough. She brings warmth and humor in all the right places.

My only real downside is the pacing. This is a very slow burn — so slow that I found myself skimming through sections just to keep the momentum going. The scenes I skipped didn’t seem to affect the plot much, which made those parts feel more like filler than necessary development.

Still, the emotional stakes, the soul‑tether twist, the mystery within the pack, and the bond forming between Eden and Beckett kept me invested. Readers who enjoy fated‑mate romances with suspense, loyalty, and a touch of humor will find plenty to enjoy here.

This was really good story that had me on the edge of my seat to find out what happened right up until the very end. Eden is a human who works at a pet shelter and is called out to retrieve a dead animal, and that is where she meets Bennett, who is the Alpha King, an alpha Wolf shifter and has been betrayed and poisoned by someone in his pack, he could only live if he was close to his fated mate, who happens to be Eden. I absolutely loved how Bennett showed Eden how much she meant to him. I absolutely bawled when he felt he had to reject her, but when he realised what was happening to her, he dropped everything to save her. Their relationship was fraught with obstacles and danger, but they were able to overcome it all and went on to have their happily ever after.

Beckett and Eden.

NGL, this book took me a minute to get into. I loved the cover art and the synopsis, but Eden, the FMC, rubbed me the wrong way at first when it came to Beckett. I was ready to DNF it, knowing the story takes a life-changing, pivotal turn, when something told me to keep reading. I'm so glad I did because it's that pivotal change that had me locked in until this book was finished.

What I loved and appreciated so much about this book was Beckett's unwavering protection, love, devotion, and respect for Eden, especially when facing Eden's mistrust and anger towards him. I'm just so glad Eden and Beckett finally got a second chance and their much-deserved HEA. The Alpha finally got his Luna and his family.

a decent read

Overall a good solid storyline. I liked how she didn’t just fold under pressure and automatically fall for Becket. She really made him work for it. Their story was good, a few grammar mistakes but overall a decent read. The steamy bits were on par and I liked how they both came together in the end. Choosing each other and really committing.

Eden thought she was picking up a dead dog, but that definitely wasn’t the case…I loved the tension in this one. Eden definitely wasn’t a push over and didn’t just give in when she realized that dog was actually Bennett and he had been injured. The twists and turns after that were wild. I loved every minute of this story.

Excellent Read

Really was an excellent read, fast paced to the point I didn’t want to put it down. Had the perfect mix of building drama and suspense without prolonging it to long.

Alpha shifter romance

An slow-burn shifter romance; full of drama, action, fated mates, pack politics, war, betrayal, magic, love, romance and banter with some great twists along the way.

When Eden goes to collect an assumed dead dog from an alley, thinking it'll get her extra pay for her aunt's medical bill she doesn't expect the huge dog to become a n*ked man in the van, or for him to call her his "fated mate". Back at her place she treats him and learns that his magic has tied her soul to his to help him fight a poison, and they can't be more than 10 feet from each other. This leads to some great tension between the pair, as well as some wonderful banter (her best friend is great).

When his pack find him he feels the need to protect her from the war and rejects her, breaking their bond, and leaves. But months later he returns when he realises she's dying due to their broken bond; and it was wonderful seeing him prove to her how he truly felt.
