Moira has been sent a note—from a man who shouldn’t be contacting her. Not after they’d promised to stay apart. He wants to meet her, and she’s too scared to say no.

Jordy needs money and wants to go on the straight and narrow. He’s had enough of selling whatever he’s stolen and hopes he can secure enough cash from Moira for a bond and rent on a flat. It might not be easy, but if she doesn’t give it to him, he’ll have to take drastic measures…

George and Greg Wilkes have picked up a man who needs to be sorted. Said man has been holed up in their secret cottage, waiting for the moment their new copper, DS Tony Parslow, can perform his initiation into the firm. How will the policeman cope with being a murderer?

One of the last jobs DS Colin Broadly will ever do is train Tony, showing him as many of the ropes as he can inside a fortnight. Colin’s counting down the days to retirement, where a cottage by the sea awaits. But first, crime needs sweeping under the rug. Can Tony keep it there once Colin has left London, or will it crawl back out?

It is always nice to return to the Cardigan Estate. Each new book always has me hooked.

Everyone knows the laws and the help provided to residents. Meet Moira. Her past has caught up with her and the knowledge has reached the twins.

Be prepared for more gore than usual as there is a surprise that needs to be seen.

Cant wait for the next release.
