Beta Team: The Saviors, Part Two: Forest Grove, Book 4

Rate this book
They call us the Saviors.

But do we call when we need to be saved?

A simple protection detail has turned deadly, old enemies have come back, and people who we thought were enemies might be our only hope.

The Beta Teams' lives are on the line, and it might take a true Savior to bring us back in one piece.

If they fail, it will be like the Beta Team never existed.

Beta The Saviors, Part Two is part of a duet, and this is the conclusion. It's also a part of the Forest Grove series. It's a why-choose/polyamorous romance, meaning the female main character has multiple love interests and does not choose at the end. This book also contains male/male content and relationships. It is a spin-off of the Abbs Valley series and can be enjoyed as a standalone. For mature listeners.

Okay, before i talk about my biggest "issue" with this book, let's get into the actual content and my feelings on that. I love this author and i was so excited for this group to finally get their happy ending, especially after that heartbreaking cliffhanger. For the most part i thoroughly enjoyed this book. i loved the characters i thought they were pretty well rounded. i loved the relationships between the characters and the dynamics in them. As always, the humor and banter were hilarious, the spice was top tier, and i think the more emotional and serious parts were also done really well and had me emotional and tearing up at parts. I will say that i think Kira took a bit of a back burner in this book, which i can understand why, simply because from a plot and story standpoint she wasn't really involved or the focal point like the other FMCs within this series but there were still parts where i personally forgot about her.

Now, while I love this author, and I loved that this group finally got their happy ending, and while I generally enjoyed the book, there was something throughout the entire book that kind of made me feel "iffy." I knew going into this that one of the main characters of this book was from Israel, so I knew that Israel and Mossad specifically were going to be a part of this book as well. I am fully aware that this book is fiction and that these characters are not real. I am also aware that the antagonists in this book were the leaders of said organization, but there were multiple parts throughout this book that left me wondering if it was trying to be pro-Israel. I am not trying to claim that this book or the author is anti-Palestinian just because the characters in the book are Israeli, nor am I trying to claim the author's feelings about the Israel-Palestine conflict, but when a book ends with a character saying that with no clarification on what that means, it makes me a bit uncomfortable. Once again, I am not making any claims on the author or this book; there are people way more educated than I on this topic. I am simply just putting out my feelings.

I usually love anything Ames Mills but this book while good for the most part felt rushed and the relationships unbelievable at times. Honestly at times I forgot Kira was apart of the relationship. It seemed only Keon liked her and had a connection and that the other guys preferred Jason more. If the book had been Jason only I think it would have been perfect and then give Kira her guys that are as obsessed with her as Keon was. It just seemed like she was there as the FMC to match the other stories written.

While I still LOVE the characters, I didn’t love the book. I can’t put my finger on exactly what was different but it didn’t give me the same feeling as book 1.

MMMMMMF

I read this in one day and I need to talk about it ASAP lol

Things I loved 🖤:

The plot throughout the book was a 10/10! Holy shit I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning. I cried, laughed, yelled (literally) and was stressed but I loved every second of the plot! My babies could just not catch a break throughout the book and it was making me mad for them! I wanted to climb into the book and fight alongside them haha. After the cliffhanger from Part 1 I should have known Ames would not let up!

It was great seeing the platonic relationship of Jason and Kira! Such BFFS! The love in the book you could tell was there with all of them including new daddy Tivon AKA Professor North. I’m not surprised him and Kane got along since they are both very DOM. I loved reading Ari and Tivon thrive and also their spicy scene had my jaw on the floor 🥵🥵🥵 Of course my favorite are Tyler and Gavin they are just PURRRRFECT 😉 Watching all of them be strong together when shit hit the fan with MULTIPLE of them (UGH) had be rooting for them even more!

Things I wished for 🤫:

In part 1 we got to see the relationships blossom and turn up in spice! We saw Tyler and Gavin admit their feelings, Ari and Jason get together and Keon and Kira… HOWEVER in Part 2 I feel like we needed a bit more of Kira with the other guys and also Jason with the other guys. With Daddy Tivon joining I wanted to see more of Ari running to him for help. Tyler is my baby and he is just loved by everyone and he deserves it so much! I do wish we had gotten more of Gavin (my man) because he felt a little forgotten and in a way so did Keon!

Also I wish we would have gotten more of “GIRL TALK” in this book like we did in Part 1 I really missed it! We didn’t get much of Jason and Kira alone to gossip! Plus we never got the reactions of all the guys finding out Jason made it to the girls group chat… ugh I miss the group chat thrill!

I am just being selfish because I have so many questions! Like does Tyler ever get to top Gavin or any of the other guys ALONE (iykyk)? Does Keon get to fuck Tyler? Does Ari let anyone else in 😉? Does Tivon tell anyone else that he loves them? Does Gavin tell the others he loves them? Does Tyler? Does Jason ever top? And I have more questions but unless Ames makes a novella for the beta team I’ll never know 😭😭 LOL

I’ve been an Ames hoe for as long as it’s been possible to be one. I’ve loved each and every book I’ve read of hers, and I’ve been on her ARC team for quite some time. These smutty little books are always a ride. This particular one just kind of didn’t do it for me. It felt very discombobulated and difficult to follow at times. Each of the MMCs were so similar that it was hard to separate them. The smut was hot, as always, but it also felt ill placed at times. I love for my boyfriends to have boyfriends who have boyfriends but so much of it felt forced. And I LOVE a nickname, even the silly ones. Ames always has a wide range of pet names, but this has so many I couldn’t even keep up. I’ve seen the reviews and see that so many people do not feel this way - so maybe it’s just me and this specific one just wasn’t for me? I am so happy so many people enjoyed it because I want nothing but success for Ames!

I still had quite a few good laughs and loved seeing some of my favorite characters from books past! Their happy ending was certainly hard earned!

What an end to the duet! It was so good. This group have been working so hard to get their happily ever after.
This book had it all - action, spice, emotional moments and so many great heartfelt and sweet conversations between them.

Tivon was a surprise. And such a good one. It was delicious and hot. Amazing addition to the storyline 🤍

Ames writes amazing dark romance, and this was no exception. I went through all emotions possible reading this story, and boy was it good. I'm so happy they finally got their happy ending. I can't wait to see what Ames brings us next 🖤✨

It’s a good thing this duology wasn’t my first time reading her books because man I wouldn’t have picked up Abbs Valley. This was so lackluster I can’t believe it’s the same author that wrote some of my favorite books that I re-read constantly. It read like an outline. I hated the storyline. I mean with the current political climate it was a choice I’ll say that. The group dynamics were bare minimum and just didn’t hit the way it should have. It lacked building the relationships between everyone. It just lacked heart. While Ames Mills writes some of the hottest sex scenes not even those could save what it was lacking. I seriously hate when poly books puts the heroine in the corner and puts the spotlight on the men’s relationships. Like I want Kira to have a do-over or maybe Ari and Jason have a separate book and Gavin and Tyler have his own. Because that’s how this story read. Separate connections that only connected during group scenes that had no heart. The words can TELL you blah blah blah but it’s the actions that truly count. I would have waited years for this story to come out the right way. I rated it 3 stars because I absolutely loved the characters. The bones were there but the execution was phoned in and that makes me sad. I loved seeing Kane and his guys, Ghost and that family, and Less and her gang. I did however miss Micha and the hot bunch.

Unfortunately, this will be the last Ames Mills book for me.
I've read them all. I've even reread the first 9. But this duet absolutely ruined the love of the series for me.
You can tell the author had no desire to write this book and rushed through it. Kira and Keon were side characters in their own little relationship, in their own books. None of the other guys connected with her or actually seemed to like her. They all only cared about Jason. The relationship dynamics were extremely poorly written, there was no development, no connections....there was just nothing at all except everyone getting kidnapped and moving safe houses over and over again...seriously, could we not come up with literally anything else for two whole books? Things didnt add up in the story, for instance, Tyler gets kidnapped (shocker) and they find him almost immediately because of his tracker. Then, later on Ari and Tivon are kidnapped(shocker again) and Tivon says they weren't fitted for trackers so no one will be able to find them. Literally the next page is the team busting into the room...finding them. Why would Tyler have a tracker but no one else? Make it make sense. There are no declarations of love throughout the book like in the other ones. Ari and Jason exchanged them and then Kira and Keon and Tyler and Gavin. No one else.
The ending was HORRIBLE. It was so rushed. In every single other duet, theres a drawn out proposal thats always beautifully written and then a scene with the wedding. This book ends with Ari talking to his sisters grave...he stands up and says lets get married to Jason, then tells the group. The end. WHAT EVEN WAS THAT? Clearly Ames needs a mental health break from writing and I hope she gets it and takes it seriously. This duet truly suffered and was horrible because of it. I have no desire to read Baxter and Rowlands story because this one was nothing but frustrating. But I hope for all the other fans, Ames can get back to delivering GOOD books again. And please for the love of God....take a break from the terrible dad plot. Every duet has something to do with someone's shit dad. Make some new material and change up the characters. Its the same exact stories over and over again with the same exact characters, just with different names. It gets old.

I had a lot of issues with this book. I feel like any sort of relationship development must have happened off page, because it certainly did not appear on the page for the audience. It also was very off-putting with both Kira and Jason. Like Jason doesn't really have a personality but everyone is obsessed with him. It makes no sense to me to pretend to have a FMC but then sideline her and make the main relationship focus be on Jason. I understand that he is strictly gay, which isn't the problem. The vibe just felt weird. Jason and Kira were supposedly friends judging by book 1, but in book 2 it's like Jason wants all the relationship attention for himself. Even with the 1 scene where they were all supposed to be together, all the attention gets drawn away from Kira to Jason again. There's not one part where she is the focus of everyone. Only Keon seems to give her his full attention. In the beginning of the 1st book Ari, Gavin and Tyler all think they're straight and then find out they're all Bi and then are all obsessed with Jason. Again, this wouldn't really be an issue if it was just him. But Kira is supposed to be the FMC and is barely in the second book. She has maybe 3-4 POV chapters in the whole book. It would have been better without Kira or if Jason didn't act how he did the whole time. This definitely did not meet the mark at all. The plot is also really stupid. His dad hates him and disowned him but is going through all of this to get him back because it's his 'true purpose'
Like everything about this gave me a bad vibe to be honest. Also, it seems like it's written by a completely different author than book 1, and I don't mean that in a positive way. There were very few good things about this book that I enjoyed.

I had the honor of getting an ARC copy of Beta Team part 2!! Thank you Ames and the ARC team for letting me get my hands on this book early!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

What I loved 💕
I loved how connected all the characters were emotionally. I love in books when they can read each other and know when someone might need just a bit more support. I love the cross overs between all of the other groups and that alone makes me want to reread everyone’s stories. I enjoyed how we got to see more of Kane and his group with Kira. I laughed out loud when Kane showed up and figured out what his baby sister was up to 🙂‍↕️ Tyler and his tiny hands was also a standout moment!

What I struggled with 🤔
I did a reread of part one a week before I got the ARC and I could kind of guess where the story was going. I feel like even in part one there was a connection missing between Kira and some of the guys. I really felt this is part two when Tivon was introduced. He just felt a bit rushed for me, or like in part one we didn’t get as much lead up for it to make sense.

I tend to not enjoy safe houses for some reason. I’ve experienced this with other books outside of Ames. It’s weird but I get bored faster when they are at a safe house for an entire book. I understand the concept of the characters going there for protection but there is something that I feel is missing 🥴

I think with every author there are books that you love with everything in you and then there are some that you just love but is missing something. Overall I am giving this book 4 stars, it was a great ended for this group but I feel like I was missing something.

Overall this was a fantastic ending to this amazing group and I will of course pick up another Ames Mills book. I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next 🤗

I am so grateful to have received this as an ARC. If Ames Mills is writing it, I’m reading it. This duet was a little different with Kira and Jason having a platonic relationship within the group, but I didn’t totally hate it. I do think Kira and Jason’s relationships with the guys were a bit underdeveloped because of it, but overall I loved the story. I’m just going to say that I called Professor North AKA Tivon joining the group back when I reviewed part one. I wish we got more time with him interacting with the group, but that’s just me being greedy. All the dynamics were so unique and heartfelt, so as someone who was looking forward to more of this group’s story before we even got part one, I’m pleasantly surprised with how it all ended up. I love all the cameos from the other groups (especially Kane and his men) and how they’re all intertwined like one big, messy family. Kane and Tivon’s relatively smooth friendship was hilarious considering how scared the rest of the men were of Kane. I know Ames said she’s stepping away from this world for a bit (😭), but I will be eagerly awaiting Roland’s teams story (especially with the potential addition of cryptic), and anything else that she writes🫶🏻

Going to keep it somewhat short to avoid accidentally spoiling anything. With that said I must say that this might be my favorite group dynamic. While Beta Team Part 1 left us with of course a massive cliffhanger (what do you expect from the queen of cliffhangers) Beta Team Part 2 was definitely worth the wait so that Ames could get this groups story absolutely perfect. Loved getting back into this world where I laugh out loud, kick my feet at moments that just make me so happy for our group, gasp at shocking moments, but most importantly that Ames writes with a love for the LGBT+ community that just shines through the characters. I know it’s easy to say that since it’s a why choose where they are all involved with each other but the personalities an individuality each character has makes it better!

loved this book and it was definitely worth the wait, my only compliment is i wish it was longer. I love all the guys and there relationships with one another and with Kira. Tyler is just my favorite, I love how sassy and funny he is. Now I want to go back and reread the other books in this world. Can't wait to see what Ames Mills is going to release next. I know she said she was taking a break in this world, but eventually we will be getting Roland and his teams story. And I can't freaking wait.

God its dissappointing when one of your fav authors turns out to be a Israeli supporter. So stupid and unnecessary to add that. The book sucks, its rushed, the fmc is just shoved in there for no real reason since all the dudes care more about jason. Ugh so sad

I have not laughed as hard as I have for this duet in a long time.

In every set of books I have read from this author thus far I’ve had my favorite pairings, for this one it goes to Tyler and Gavin. because of course my favorites have to be the ones that are silly goofy idiots. first came gage, then mateo, and caden, then onto sean and tyler.

I hate to say it, but these books have gotten incredibly predictable. Obviously there is slight variation for the characters involved, but having every first book out of a duet end in the kidnapping of very specific character stereotype…. it has become a little boring. It wasn’t boring enough for me to stop reading, but I really hope that as the stories progress that we get another kind of cliffhanger. Truthfully, I should not have given this duet as high of a rating as I have because of the predictability, but genuinely Tyler’s antics saved this book.

I liked that there was a character in this that was not involved in the entire group dynamic. This is how I felt about dex in the first installment (until like the last 10% of the second book where he was all of a sudden bi?). jason, the cutie he is, was a breath of fresh air when it came to everybody falling in love with everybody. I love that he gets to be a part of the girls nights and group chat. I wish that they had explored this more though… I can only imagine how the other guys would’ve responded to knowing he got in and they didn’t.

I have thought this for most of the books in these two series, but I feel like the girl is alienated from her own relationship? Everybody wants to be with her (sans jason obvi) but it felt like she was the what sixth?? wheel. even Keon felt like he wasn’t really in it for everybody. in order for this dynamic to work, I feel like everybody needs to be on somewhat of a level playing field, and this particular duet felt the most divided. And the other books there were at least connections between just about everybody, but in this I felt there was a strong divide between the relationships. keon and kira; ari, jason, and tivon; and then gavin and tyler (though Tyler had chemistry with literally everyone on the page).

I don’t know how to place exactly what felt different about beta team than the rest of the books, but I appreciated that there was more plot and less smut. I honestly didn’t notice that there were breaks between sexual scenes because I was invested in what was happening other than that. and then they felt like a treat.

if this book did not have Tyler, I would be rating it lower than 3*, but alas he is a bright spot on every page. also, if it’s not noticeable, I do non-arc reviews with voice to text so if anything doesn’t make sense it’s because I didn’t proofread this lol.

We had to wait a bit for this one. Ames Mills took a few months to step back from writing and social media, so part two of this duet was delayed. But she’s back, and we could finally dive once more into the world of Forest Grove and Abs Valley. This time it was Ari’s team’s turn—characters we had already seen little crumbs of in Axel’s team’s book.

The concept remains the same: a mafia/mercenary team consisting of one woman and five men who, in all kinds of combinations, find love with each other and form a heartwarming family after surviving all the horrors thrown their way. This is the fifth group in Mills’s created universe, and the fun thing is that it also crosses over with another Ames book, For the Love of Kane. The female main character is Kane’s little sister Kira, whom we’ve met before. After a devastating fire, her body is largely covered in scars. Despite that, she decides to take charge of her own life and goes to study in Forest Grove. Kane only allows this if she accepts a group of bodyguards—Ari’s team, who need a break after several extremely heavy human-trafficking missions.

Love quickly blooms between various members of the group, but Ari’s past throws a wrench in the works. His father wants to bring him back to Israel, and everyone has to fight for their lives.

Oh, it was wonderful to be back in Forest Grove! Familiar faces returned, new ones were lovely, the smut was smutting in every position you can imagine (and with six people, that’s quite a lot), the suspense was killing, and the vibe was once again heartwarming.

Yet, unfortunately, this isn’t my favorite in the series. For several reasons. Maybe it was because of the time gap, but the plot didn’t grab me the way earlier installments did. Perhaps after five duets it all felt a little predictable. But what disappointed me most were the characters themselves. There just wasn’t enough depth, which made them all feel a bit similar, with little differentiation. Half the time I didn’t even really know whose POV I was reading, because they all sounded the same. In my opinion there was too little background information about their pasts (for some characters none at all), so I didn’t feel like I really knew them. What drives them, what are their struggles, where does it all come from? Earlier books handled this much better, which made me root for the characters and their happy endings.

On top of that, everyone got over Kira’s scars very quickly. They all found her beautiful, and it wasn’t an issue at all. I didn’t find that very believable—though of course, great for her. You go girl!

I hope the next team will give more insight into the characters themselves, with more layers and depth. But I will definitely read it!

this review is once again all over the place! I needed to immediately release my thoughts after finishing 😂

i’ve been so eager for beta team pt 2 that i forgot the first one released over a year ago. i started it and was like maybe i need to go back😂

this story packed all the punches a usual Ames Mills book does. i honestly thought someone wasn’t gonna make it out of this book alive. it was like just as one character recovers, another one is in danger, over and over again. but of course we get the happily ever after we all know and love from Ames.

i just KNEW “professor north” would end up part of this equation and it felt so natural. Tivon and Ari’s relationship became one of my favorites. similar to relationship dynamics in psychos and riches books, but ofc, in their own amazing ways. i really enjoyed finding out about their past and how they’ve both overcome it despite all the horrible challenges they faced.

this book made me wanna read about kane and his men again😂 we all knew kane would disapprove but it was still funny to see his reaction and how the guys all stood on ten toes despite being scared of him.

kira grew a lot in this installment as well. she became more comfortable and confident with herself, her scars, and what she wanted from her men. i loved seeing her stand up to Kane (had no doubt she’d do that but it was still badass!)

all of the relationships between each couple, and the group as a whole, continued to evolve in this book. they already felt deep love for each other but with the obstacles they faced, that love and protection went above and beyond.

as individual characters Tyler and Keon became a top favorite of mine. Tyler is so relatable with being the comic relief character who hides his emotions, but seeing him let go was beautiful. Keon is also one to hide his emotions as well as place the blame on himself when it’s not needed but he’d do absolutely anything for his family.

now that i've finished, i think it's time to reread starting with the abbs valley series 😂

Well holy shit, that was a wild ride!!!
What more could’ve be thrown their way. They just couldn’t catch a break. Ugh

I was an absolute mess, on the edge of my seat, stressed the fuck out. And then some
ugh 😩
Did everything work out? - Yes. TG
Was everyone ok? - Also yes TG
Did i survive? - Barely

This book put me through the wringer in the best (and worst) way possible. The spice helped 🤭😈🔥

Literally it was go, go, go from the beginning - and then we add one more to the mix.

Soo let’s introduce our new guy:

Tivon - aka professor North.
Oh I like him

At first, I honestly didn’t know how I felt about someone new, but surprisingly…it worked. Someone needed to put Ari in his place, someone a bit more Dom than Jason, and Tivon stepped in perfectly. And it worked.

The group opened their arms to him, the dynamic just worked, and it all just clicked. And Ari & Tivons scene? Yeah…that was HAF 😈

Did all the relationships work? NO
Did i still enjoy the book? YES Absolutely

I think most of the dynamics worked really well—except Ari and Kira. They just didn’t work for me. It felt less like a natural connection and more like, “Well, they should be together, so I’ll make them be.” I don’t know… something about it just didn’t click. Their relationship felt forced in a way the others didn’t.
Still, despite that mismatch, I enjoyed the story overall.

I forgot to mention Kane in my last review - and that’s a crime, because I was so happy to see him and his guys pop in!
It was genuinely great seeing him step up, help without immediately forcing Kira to go home…not that he didn’t try.
Big brother instincts were in full force and honestly, kudos to him. No one is going to mess with the big bad Russia mafias little sister and get away with it.
Knowing that if something happened to her men, how devastated she would be.

The group chat with the girls - and having Jason adding 🤭 Gage is going to loss him mind.

And shout out for the group chat in coms- that was epic 🤭😈🤣

Omg I read someone’s review (can’t find it) which was phenomenal btw -but she made my brain hurt and I can’t stoping thinking about them and wondering how we demand a novella, we NEED answers.
From what I can remember and adding my two cents in…does Tyler (my man) ever get to top Gavin? Let the POOR guy top damn it. Does Keon finally get to stick it in Tyler? Does Ari let go for anyone else? Does Gavin? Do the guys say I love you to each other? Is there one big group fucking? All together? With side action? INTK

HOLY smokes, this book was defiantly worth waiting for. Ames Mills has delivered another really great installment for her Forrest Grove Duets.

Kira has soon so much growth in this part of the Betas duet. She stood up to her brother, which Kane can be a scary MMC, cause him and Blaze are crazy and the love Kira so much. When Ari was in the hospital after him and Jason where rescued, Tivon stepped up and stood guard at Ari's door and then when he stood up to Ari for Jason, I just knew he was going to be apart of their family and be part of the team.

Tylor definitely reminds me of Gage and a few others from Ames other duets and, he loved hard and knew who part of his family would be and didn't give up until he got what he wanted. He made everyone laugh, but he held them all together. Now Gavin, was definitely a protector and I loved how his and Tylor's relationship was. Now we have Keon who held in his emotions but loved just as hard. Jason grew so much too, I loved that he also got his happy ending.

This Book had me biting my lip, so I wouldn't scream at my kindle, I had to put my kindle down and walk away a few times. I really thought 1 or 2 MMC's were not going to make it out but, at the end, everyone survived and got their HEA..

I definitely give this book the hype it deserves 10/10 recommend all her books and I will always recommend her books.

The Savior’s Beta Team Part 2 — Ames Mills, my therapist will be in touch. 🫶🏼

One of my most anticipated reads of 2025 and babyyyy you better believe it was worth the wait. I devoured this book. Ate it up. and I’m still not okay. Bc what the feck am i supposed to read now?!

I loved the story line - it was fast paced and kept my attention. There were so many moments that had me gripping my chest bc Ames put the Beta Teams thru it! They had to fight for their HEA and while I felt like my heart was going to explode at times I COULDN’T STOP READING. Again, my therapist will be in touch.

Let’s talk the Beta Team bc these men are 100/10 perfection:
✨ Ari (aka Gramps lol): Hardheaded king with a stupid-big heart. His growth?? I was unwell. It was everything
✨ Tyler: Small hands. That’s it. #iykyk
✨ Gavin: 100/10. He ATE.
✨ Keon: My baby daddy. No notes.

The love interests
✨ Jason: Not a Savior but fits this team like he’s been there forever. Love him.
✨ Kira: One of my absolute favorite females characters Ames has blessed us with. Strong, beautiful, soul-deep vibes. Her dynamic with the guys? Obsessed. Her platonic love with Jason?? Elite. Chefs kiss 🤌🏻

And our final mystery member… I won’t spoil him, but you will love every. single. INCH. 👀

What I adore most: this isn’t just Kira’s or Jason’s story — it’s the Beta Team’s story. A true partnership. A whole unit. And it WORKS.

Also…
Daddy Kane showing up to handle business???
No one messes with baby sis and lives to tell the tale.

Ames — what a feckin ride!
I love you.

Oh, man, have I missed being swept into Mills' world of action, suspense, romance and why-choose goodness!

I, like many others, have been eagerly awaiting the conclusion to the Beta Team story, and Mills did not disappoint. I went in without re-reading part one (I was too eager, sue me!), and Mills had written it in such a way that everything comes back to you as you read the events unfolding (despite the gap in books - just over 18 months between publications).

The action and the suspense is what makes this book work; I love that Mills continues to balance the romance, the relationship building and the spice (don't forget, readers have dubbed her "Queen of the Multi-Peen") with the plot progression, and it definitely kept me on my toes as I read, across all aspects. I love that we're seeing new relationships form, as well as new dynamics within these relationships.

It's not smooth sailing for the Beta Team and their partners, and I love that we get a grittier look into their story in part two. It's darker, and full of internal and interpersonal conflict which just *works*. I also love that we get to see more of Kane and his men throughout this, even if he's being an overbearing older brother (he has a heart of gold, really), as well as the original Saviours - the found (and real) family is strong in this one.

So glad to have returned to Forest Grove, and so excited to see where Mills takes us next!

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Oh my gosh!!! This book was beautiful! I loved it, it was perfect! Loved these characters so much! I’m very sad Ames is taking a break, but I completely understand. Roland’s team’s books won’t be out for a very long time… *sniff* But that means there’s room for more content, and I have confidence for more amazing books from Mills! As always, I love her work AHHHHHHHHHHHH! This book was so lovely!!

4/5 stars 3.5/5 spice

If you love any of Ames’ reverse harem books, you’ll love this one as well. I was expecting way more spice like her other books but this one seemed more tame in comparison. There was a lot of action and the group trying to get another partner to join their relationship.

I loved Tivon as the new addition. He fit right in with everyone and gave Ari something that the others couldn’t. He had a great bond with them all but mostly Jason, Tyler, Kira, and of course Ari. My favourite couplings were still Gavin and Tyler, and Ari and Jason. I’m going to also add Ari and Tivon because woah they had some great chemistry.

I liked that all the focus wasn’t just on Kira, being that she’s the only female in the relationship, but we got to see all the connections between the guys. We also got to see previous characters and their relationships still thriving. They’re all such a tight knit group, stepping up whenever they’re needed.

I’m glad we got a little teaser for the potential next duet, whenever it will come. I will never not pick up an Ames Mills reverse harem book since her books are what made me love the trope so much and introduced me to MM as well.

- Reverse harem
- MM scenes
- MMMF & MMMMMMF scene
- Mercenaries
- Action
- Humour
- Kidnapping
- Found family

It’s great to finally have a conclusion to the Beta Team duet. Overall the conclusion is good, but I was left wanting more. If it was possible, I would’ve rated this as 3.5 stars, but I rounded up because that isn’t an option.

When I opened the book I was expecting it to be at least four or five hundred pages, but it was less than three hundred. At the conclusion of part one, I had questions that I assumed would be addressed in part two because Ames is always very thorough with her characters/storylines. I wanted to know more about Keon and see his relationships with everyone develop, but he’s almost an afterthought part two. As a result of him not being developed, I believe that hurt Kira’s story because she was the closest to him in part one. In my opinion, Tivon’s development took away from the others because he wasn’t developed quite enough in part one. He becomes such a central figure in the story, that it was weird he wasn’t even mentioned in the epilogue.

I did like the interactions with Kane’s guys, the Alpha Saviors, and Abbs Valley crews. It’s always nice to get updates on them, plus the banter is top notch and adds levity. Even though Ames says she’s taking a break from this series for a bit, I will definitely read whatever she comes up with next!

⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 Stars)

After waiting a whole year for the audiobook release, I hate to say… the wait honestly wasn’t worth it for me 😭💔 And that really hurts because Ames Amiles books are usually automatic 5-star reads for me.

Now let me be clear — the STORYLINE?? Absolutely incredible. 🔥📚 I would honestly give the plot itself 5 stars… maybe even 9 stars because Ames Mills KNOWS how to write a storyline, and she definitely did not disappoint with this duet. The emotions, the tension, the characters all of that was there 👏✨

But the spice/smut? 🌶️😩
For me, it just wasn’t giving what I was hoping for. There were definitely spicy moments and some great sex scenes, but the SMUT itself felt rushed and lacked the intensity I was expecting. After the other books in this series, especially For the Love of Kane and Riches to Riches 🖤🥵, I think my expectations were just way too high. That book set the bar SO high, and unfortunately this one didn’t hit me the same way.

Storyline: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice Level: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Overall, I still loved the story and I’ll probably reread it again soon — maybe even later this week 😂📖 I think reading both books together instead of a month apart might make the experience flow a lot better for me. 💕

Ames did it again. She is the QUEEN of poly romance and I'm absolutely feral for anything she writes. When I saw part 2 was being released - I immediately cleared my schedule because I knew once I picked up this book I wouldn't be able to put it down.

Kira has been through so much, but I think what I love most about her is her strength and unwavering loyalty to her guys. She's been through so much, and I couldn't wait to read about her getting her happily ever after.

One thing I love about all of Ames Mills books is the way the guys relationships build as the books progress. I loved that all the guys relationships grew and developed right alongside of Kira's. I also really loved Jason and Kira's friendship, which surprised me. When I first read part 1, I wasn't sure how I was feeling about a guy in the group who wasn't involved with Kira, but given everything she's been through in her life, it made sense that she had a guy who was just a friend to lean on and gossip with.

Honestly, the only complaint I have is that I wish the book were longer, but I mean.. I always feel that way about Ames books.

EEKKK!!! I’m so obsessed with this crew. I gotta say they are currently my favorite group and that’s saying something because I love the OG’s & the main Savior crew but Kira, Jason, and their men are my babies 🥰 The cliffhanger from book one to the resolution I was on the edge on my seat and took no breaks reading this one. The new added addition to the bunch was like so f’ing sinful like hello zaddyyy and I thought Daddy Ari THE MAN but I stand corrected because hello hello hello. I don’t want to give off too many spoilers but the rollercoaster ride of emotions I went through while reading this was well worth the wait. If this is what Ames wrote taking a year’s time to write I’m telling y’all you need to pick this one ASAP! The hot scenes, emotional moments, and intriguing storyline will have you going down a rabbit hole that is Ames’s books and if you’ve already read it then it’ll have you wanting to look back and do some rereading. Kira, Jason, Ari, Keon (my baby), Tyler, Gavin, & our new added boo 👀 will have a special place in my heart and I will for sure be rereading during my Christmas break to reminisce on their beautiful relationship 🫶🏽🤗
