Mase Evans is a fantasy and romance author who enjoys a story that immerses readers in new worlds full of fun characters, adventure, and swoon worthy love stories. She primarily writes fantasy romance books geared toward YA an NA audiences.

She grew up in Houston, Texas with her younger siblings and began writing at the age of 10, finishing her first full length novel when she was 14. She continues to live in Texas with her husband and her four fur babies.

This was an absolutely beautifully written novella by mase, I got the amazing chance to read both her books in the Dragon hunter duology and I absolutely loved ever second of it... Now coming back to this novella I see it fitting in either before or after you read the duology... Personally I think it would fit in before the duology.

This story was just full of emotion... It's basically Erens back story on how she became a dragon hunter and what exactly happened to Ronan.. So yes I was in tears reading this story!.

Overall I really think it adds value to the duology and I'm absolutely honored to have read it.. I've given it a 4 star rating because I think the author has done a freaken amazing job with this novella.. I 100% recommend reading this and the duology if your a fan of high fantasy books

As the other 2 books before this one, this book captivates you from the very beginning. Being that Eryn is my favorite character from book one and two, this solidified exactly why she is my favorite! This is a prequel and provides insight into Eryn and Ronan past.
This book is action packed with emotional damage!
I enjoyed it so much I didn’t put it down until I was done!
Mase Evans, this is another 5 ⭐️read!

Such a great prequel!!! This really answered questions I had from the main story about Ronan & Eryn. We learn how Eryn & Ronan met & we see Eryn’s journey to becoming the amazing dragon hunter she is in the main story. We learn of Ronan’s capture & what he went through. We also get to see how the sibling bond came about.

I will preface this by saying this is the first book I’ve read from Mase and will not be my last !!! Oh M G
If anyone needs to know how to write a prequel fantasy this is it !
Hooked me from the first few pages and excites me to read the two other books already published
It perfectly sums up whete the other books start out and explain why the fmc is very black cat
The plot was straightforward and very very easy to follow
I didn’t expect what happened to her brother so plot twistssss
Overall this was a perfect prequel and I’m happy to know the back story as I dive deeper into Mase Evan’s word of fantasy

As a person who has read the other 2 books first. This hits hard and all the emotions. You be on a ride from the beginning. Eryn was my favorite character in the other books and still is. This is her and Ronan's past. This is a story we needed that was mentioned in the first book and I'm glad we got their history. It did not disappoint and is a good addition to the whole story.

This is my first book by Evan Mase and I was captivated from the first word. The emotional roller-coaster action packed story kept me turning the pages. I loved seeing how Eryn grew into a fierce dragon hunter. I look forward to reading more of this series.

A great prequel, picking the story of what happen to Ronan was a great choice for a prequel. I loved reading about the siblings and all their tranings and of course the story behing ronans capture. Perfect!
