A very powerful read from a new author that kept me hooked from the beginning! I was really invested in the characters and their story and felt like I was transported to Fort Virtue. Add this one to the top of your TBR!

I really enjoyed this one. It’s a dystopian story with a heavy premise, but it’s written in a way that keeps you hooked and rooting for the characters. The themes of standing up for yourself and fighting back against injustice really come through. Definitely an emotional read at times, but also really powerful.

Fantastic book from a new author! She makes you fall for the characters while leaving you with a bit of emotional trauma. For a dystopian novel, it really feels like something that could be a possibility in the not so distant future and it's terrifying. There's a nice little slow burn in there between two characters you wouldn't expect, but will leave you questioning which way you want it to go. Absolutely give this one a chance! You won't regret it.
