Absolutely incredible continuation of a series that I have become so fond of. I finished this in one sitting. We got more information about Prim’s identity, the incredible slow-burn between her and Kole smoldered, and that cliffhanger made me pick up the next book immediately. This has become my favorite Street series!!!

Wow. I was really hoping that somehow the story and writing would improve with the second book…boy, was I wrong. The writing is infuriatingly repetitive, juvenile, and so full of unnecessary extra detail. I wanted to quit reading so many times, but powered through. The spice was so cringe that I laughed out loud. I can’t say I enjoyed a single minute of reading this. Won’t be reading the third book in order to keep my sanity.

The ending hits me out of the blue every time! For every question answered in Bindings of Lore a new questions was raised, and I loved seeing Prim find herself, her strength, really come into her powers even more in this book. There is a little less adventure in this and more problem solving and lore building but still plenty of twists and turns that’ll leave you guessing until the very very end! And then hoping for a short wait time for book three! Plus there was so much more romance in this book between Prim and Kole in this book that you just can’t help but root for their happily ever after! If you’re looking for a fantasy romance read, with twists and turns, amazing characters, the perfect blend of swoon-worthy romance and spice, and an ending that’ll leave you reeling then I highly recommend a copy of Bindings of Lore, but be sure to start with Stone of Legends.

The Lovely: This book made me fall even more in love with the main characters. FMC Prim is clever and tries so hard to stay positive despite what life is throwing at her. The MMC is torn between duty and love, and keeping (another) BIG secret.

Also Lovely: I also loved the unique types of magic we see during the course of this book. These tended to dovetail in with the plot twists and turns too, which kept me on my toes and highly engaged.

Recommendation: Did I see that betrayal coming? Yes. Did I message the uauthor after that brutal cliffhanger? Also yes. I’m glad it’s less than a month wait until the third and final book because my nerves can’t handle not knowing what happens to these characters!

This book has such a textbook, classic romantasy vibe, and I was loving it. I’ve always been a sucker for a regular girl getting all dressed up in fancy ballroom dresses & going to a ball. It feels so Cinderella in a way, and gets me every time. There is also the underlying plot of trying to figure out who the villain is, what they have planned, and why. Nothing out of the ordinary there, and actually very reminiscent of another very popular series that I read and loved. And of course, the love story. That aspect of this is actually a little bit different than other books that I’ve read, while still having everything that I know & love and more. He’s sworn to protect her, but he knows he will always do that even if it wasn’t his job. Definitely huge on the “touch her and you die” trope.

Overall this series has been exactly what I needed, and I can definitely feel it sparking my love for reading again. I’m super excited to see where the plot takes us, and how the third book will wrap up this story. I will never stop recommending Krista Street books!

Well, I just finished this book, and I don’t think I can wait for the next. First off, I know this series takes place in a past-like setting which I’m not fond of, but I absolutely adore this author’s writing, so will read anything by her. We’re back with Prim and Kole, and Prim has found out about her real life, and now she’s in danger. With Kole guarding her day and night, she races to figure out who wants to kill her. And, wow, what a wild ride to the end. We meet a couple of characters from the last series, we are introduced to some new characters, and at the end, we find out who the villain is. No. Way. Now that poor Prim is…well, all I can say is I want to find out what’s going to happen next. This is a great installment: well-written, enchanting, and engaging. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Bindings of Lore is the second book in Fae of Legends & Lore, a new completed fae fantasy romance series by Krista Street. This book picks up right where book 1 ended and we soon learn a shocking secret about Primelle’s true identity. Book 2 is face paced and full of action and sizzling tension and chemistry between Primelle and Kole. I loved the surprise return to the Solis content and the appearance of beloved characters from Krista’s Fae of Snow & Ice series. It felt like catching up with old friends. The book ends on another cliffhanger with Kole and Primelle separated from each other and Primelle in grave danger from a shocking source! I can’t wait to read the next book to find out what happens next!

Bindings of Lore is book two in the action-packed trilogy series ‘Fae of Legends and Lore’ by Krista Street 😍

Book two picks up right where book one left me reeling and angry, and thank goodness for that. But before I get to the juicy parts of this review, I neeeeeeed a moment to thank Krista for putting a map, glossary AND pronunciation guide at the beginning of the book. Makes my life SOOOO much easier. Like the names I’ve mentally mispronounced? Curedddddd.

This book brings the spice, and really gives time for character development and building the plot 😍 it might not have as much action as book one, but it does strengthen the character relationships, and provide clarity on SO many things.

I did find at times there was some repetition, specifically around discussing Primelle’s powers. But I did love that the most powerful person, is a kind-hearted, sunshine personified woman 💅💅

We also get more of Prim and Kole in this book, and holy hotness. The bodyguard vibes he’s giving off is e v e r y t h i n g to me. Something about the possessive, protective, broody, touch her and lose a hand vibes just does something to me every single time.

Another great book from Krista, and this series is sooooo addictive. I cannot wait for the next book- especially after that ending 😭😫 Definitely recommending this series for lovers of fantasy with a splash of romance!!!

Yes! Finally some spice and oh, I knew we were going to get some jealousy mixed in there! While everything in the plot was totally predictable, I still loved this book! We had betrayal , new developments for our FMC, court politics, and the evil villain and his minon attacks. The only thing I wish we got was character depth and development. I think our FMC was way too forgiving too quickly. We needed more angst there before the turnaround. Sometimes her positive bubbly personality can be annoying but also endearing at the same time. I want more of the main plot to be explored as it has kind of been taking a backseat… we need more answers as to why.

Bindings and bonds

This 2nd book is much more romance featured but there's still quite a bit of action and drama.
Prime meets her "new" family, navigates the binding s placed on her, and attempts to develop bonds with the people around her. Its interesting and intriguing. The monsters are still out there and eventually Prim and Kole will find a way to figure out what's going on -they hope.
I enjoyed the drama, I enjoyed watching Prim figure things out, I liked Kyle's reactions to Sooo many of the things Prim does, and I loved meeting new characters and getting to see returning characters. That ending has me tense!!! Cannot wait to get the next book to figure this all out (and get to the HEA, of course)!!!

I absolutely loved this series and devoured all three books. In fact, I read the second book in a single day because I couldn’t put it down. The pacing is excellent, the story is engaging, and each chapter left me eager to keep turning the pages.

I absolutely love Prim and Kole, and their love for one another is so tender. It's rare that I feel the 2nd book of a series is written as well as the 1st, but this did NOT disappoint!

I didn't feel like it was just a filler book, or like the plot dragged. It was just a really excellent sequel to a series and realm that I have come to love ❤️

Can't wait to see what's next!

Quick read

Easy reading, I enjoy the world's the author creates & how characters from other books appear. Sometimes I find the scenes repetitive when the FMC explains to someone what has just happened. I may need recapping of a previous book but not so explicitly in the same book.

This is the middle book of the series and it was a bit slow for at least the first half. It was very much focused on Prim discovering her real history and family and adjusting to that life.
Her relationship with Kole warms up considerably and we learn that tge broody, quiet warrior finds his voice in passion.
