Old Things, Potions, and a Sarcastic Mimic: The Retired Mage's Cozy General Store
After ten years of royal military service, Elara wants one a quiet place where no one needs her to save a kingdom.
Instead, she buys a dust-choked general store in the remote town of Oakhaven, complete with unpaid bills, broken shelves, a talking black cat, and a mimic who cares far too much about profit margins.
As Elara cleans, repairs, bargains, and serves her first customers, she begins turning battlefield magic into everyday magic. But when an astronomical pocket watch disappears and an outsider is blamed, Elara must decide whether she is only passing through Oakhaven—or whether this strange little shop is becoming a place worth defending.
Warm, funny, and gently magical, this cozy fantasy is about old objects, found family, careful healing, and the courage to stay.
